  1. Just finished telling the wife that Gallagher is shite and an empty shirt and he pops one in. Now telling her Carey, Kimpioka, Smith etc are shite in the hope they can do the same
  2. f**k me. A forward pass produces a goal shock
  3. Yep, Considine against Martin Boyle. What could possibly go wrong
  4. While I think we deserved a point , this is also true. We have a manager who appears to be going through the motions and not giving a toss. When Sidibe went down with cramp he couldn’t make a substitution because nobody was ready to come on and it’s not the first time that’s happened since the non-dynamic duo started. They also don’t seem to understand that you are only allowed 3 stoppages to make subs. This is why we see teams bring on 2or3 players at a time. Meanwhile we make one change when it was blatantly obvious that both Max and Gallagher were breathing out of their arse and Smith was his usual invisible self. It’s stuff like this added to his generally defensive nature that should get him the sack.
  5. Quite honestly they can both get to f**k as far as I’m concerned. Neither has done enough to suggest they should be at this level at all, let alone starting. If they’ve done this once, they’ll do it again and again. Punt the pair of them
  6. The last sentence is pretty much where I am. Not sure I agree we saw some half decent performances in the early months(maybe home v Hibs) but it was so bad under Macca and Callum that any small improvement was exaggerated. Since Tommy Wright was appointed we’ve not been an open attractive team to watch but we were always difficult to play against, fought like f**k, and tried to get forward and win games. Levein’s team is nothing like that. Defensive, easy to play against and soft as shit. I’ll still get my season tickets next season but maybe someone can show this thread to Stan Harris so he can let the so called management team how the fans truly feel
  7. Thought we made the wrong substitution when Sprangler had to go off. We needed some physicality in there and Max definitely doesn’t provide that. Could have put Kjeltens in there and Fran at wing back or McGowan to midfield, Kjeltens to cb and Fran at wing back. As @RandomGuy. said that midfield was far too easy to pass through.
  8. Inclined to agree with this. I’m no fan of the way Levein generally sets his team out but yesterday was not on him. We missed a Liam Craig, Chris Miller type of player that would not allow us to descend into shelling the ball the way Livvy did. Admittedly it’s difficult to play open attacking passing football with the pitch in the state it is but when we eventually started to get the ball down and pass it we were so much better. Livvy we’re a disgrace and were allowed to get away with it by a refereee who would have been out of his depth in a dried up puddle.
  9. Think you’ve absolutely nailed it. The general rule is make the system fit the players not the players fit the system. Unfortunately we don’t have pace in central defence which makes a back 3 better but we have no attacking wing backs so that should mean a back 4. This shows how important it is for the recruitment to be in sync with the style/formation required. I would like us to go Mitov Kjeltens. Gordon. Considine. Robinson McGowan M Smith. Phillips. Carey May. Clark
  10. Would take your preferred team although I’d put Matt Smith in for Jaiyesimi. No chance that’s what we’ll get though
  11. Just seen Levein’s interview. Happy with how we frustrated them . Seriously get him and his tedious boring tactics so far to f**k and take his protege with him
  12. I’m surprised nobody is saying anything about Smith being wiped out early in the second half. Looked a clear penalty to me and if you think the one Dundee got last week was a penalty then this one was nailed on. For the first time in my life I left before full time. Left when the 2nd penalty was awarded. Was always against introducing VAR as it just gives another layer of incompetence the chance to f**k you over. Sooner it’s binned the better
  13. It was clear by the way he acted at the end of the game that he was going. Agree with @RandomGuy. that he’s probably our only forward who can play on his own up top . Speaking of forwards, what was the point in bringing DJ on with a few minutes to go yesterday. If you’re looking for someone to poach a goal surely Clark should have come on
  14. Around this time last week I was accused of being someone who would never accept Levein because he once played a 4-6-0 formation and I refused to forget this (not by Random Guy by the way). However the reason I don’t want Levein (or Kirk for that matter) is they would rather try to defend a one goal lead than increase it to two. The substitutions today were so negative it was ridiculous. It might be enough to save us from relegation this season but if it stays like this they’ll be playing in front of 2 men and a dug next season because no one will want to watch us. I had a little hope before the game when I saw we were playing 2 up top but asking them to chase nothing balls and then hope they somehow would get a shot off soon disabused me of that notion.
  15. If you look at Levein’s teams over the years this is what they are and as we all know a leopard doesn’t change its spots. If Levein puts far more of a mark on things, it will be more of the same defensive turgid uninspiring stuff. Only positive I can take is he gets results but it’s absolutely brutal to watch
  16. Always thought we had wee spells as a club when we tried something different and always fell on our arse. McClelland was signings from English non league, Connolly was Scottish lower divisions and McLean and EPL youth league. While you ask John Budden anyone?, I would remind you of Colin Marshall and Lee Hardy. Will have nightmares tonight because of this
  17. Already seems like he’d rather be anywhere other than managing Saints. If what I’m hearing is true he’s never at the stadium and pretty much leaves everything to Kirk. Honestly thought we’d hit a new low when Gordon was clearly hurt and they didn’t have anyone ready to come on but then Phillips gets hurt in second half and physio pretty much has to be persuaded to go on to tend to him. Whole club is a shambles from top to bottom.
  18. Benji at least tries to run about. The lack of effort shown by DJ at times is jaw dropping. Levein says he needs to get players out before he can bring players in. If that’s the case I’ll personally drive DJ back down to Charlton if that gets rid of him. By the way think Benji is poor too but would have him before Jayesimi.
  19. Think you’re giving them a wee bit more credit than they deserve calling that a diamond midfield. From where I was sitting it was 4 guys wondering where they should be playing and Motherwell playing around and through them
  20. I am probably more hopeful with this signing. Over the last 10-15 years we have been reasonably successful when we sign players from Scottish clubs (Davidson, Mackay, Wright, Anderson even Bryson more recently) than when we look to the lower leagues in England. Time, however, will tell
  21. 8 That’s fine if the supporting players actually get up the park and support. At least a couple of times last night Kimpioka ran the channel, got beyond the defence in a wide area, looked up and had to play the ball back because nobody was in the box. Hopefully Smith will play further up the park, closer to the striker
  22. Don’t know a great deal about him but if he’s a midfielder, albeit a creative one, does this mean we are consigned to watching us playing with one striker for the rest of the season?
  23. While we were better tonight than Saturday we still have no real cutting edge. Why Levein thinks playing the laziest player on earth as a lone striker is a good idea just mystifies me. Didn’t want Levein when he was appointed and nothing I’ve seen so far suggests I was wrong
  24. What did people expect when we appointed Levein? He once played a game with a 4-6-0 formation and said he wasn’t interested in the fans or their need for entertainment. Of course we’re going to be watching defensive football but not just for the next 5 months. As long as Levein is manager that is what we’ll see. It’s in his DNA.
