  1. While you're at it, "I do not seeing" "has came" and "Wlson" could also do with changing.
  2. "Fanny Handling" surely a pastime rather than a player?
  3. Have to agree that to the normal fan these changes are an inconvenience and if they solve a problem it is certainly not one that we were aware of. Well done blazers, ya bunch of muppets ![emoji35]
  4. Can't believe Stevie has gone on holiday during the close season. I'd much prefer it if he took a couple of weeks off during the run in.
  5. What an asset Skyline Drifter is to P&B. Highly knowledgable, makes valuable contributions to other threads and puts his own team first in a way that doesn't irritate. I hope he keeps dropping in. [emoji106]????
  6. The previous worst rather than best! [emoji3] Five years in the bottom league. Let's hope we don't see that again any time soon.
  7. More importantly, what is happening to the kit man? I'm on tenderhooks here.
  8. I'm sure the Rovers job was interesting Stevie.Hopefully less so now they are in League 1. Hopefully he will sign with us rather than drop down a league for a full time role. If not, he is not irreplaceable and life will go on. An early decision one way or the other would be helpful though.
  9. Can we have Vaughan back please? Major difference between the outcome for both sides in my opinion. Surely you can't stand in his way of playing at a higher level?
  10. They can't. The golden share prevents this. I think what he meant was they could build the houses that they already have planning permission for in the corner of the car park facing on to Castle Road. Considering that Wilson appears to know bugger all about football, maybe he thought that an untied club tie was the same as a scarf. After all, he thinks we have been in the Championship for a couple of years and doesn't know the difference between Dundee and Dundee Utd. If he thinks that we would be gullible enough to fall for his full time premier league fantasy he doesn't have a clue about who his audience were tonight. Comparing an Edinburgh property transaction to a white elephant office development on the outskirts of Renton, one of the most deprived areas of the country, beggars belief. We need to challenge the financial viability of all aspects of these plans at every stage and ensure that if we do move we remain a club which owns its own stadium as we do now. Hopefully the Trust's investigations into the provisions of the golden share will demonstrate that this instrument can block the suggested change in the club's status from owner to tenant which had not (to my knowledge) been mentioned before tonight. We need to keep a close eye on these characters.
  11. Couldn't agree more. Hopefully this result curbs the excessive optimism that followed the win over an under strength Hearts team.
  12. Should have been 5-0. Two dodgy deflections for Morton and a poorly struck penalty from us at the end. Great memories despite a half brick being launched at us after the game.
  13. Those would be dream sponsors but highly unlikely. The article implies it will be a company similar in stature to Baxter Ramsay, i.e. one we have never heard of before.
  14. There's nothing more annoying than winging...
  15. Brabco owns the club and therefore the ground and may well be mad. Very concerning.
  16. I'm not suggesting we put in additional accommodation this season. I'm saying we should have done it last season. Lower league teams did it for 2 home games against Rangers. We ended up with 3 plus 2 against Hearts but did nothing when we had the additional benefit of being able to charge Championship prices. The club line has always been the potential planning problems, etc, but personally I think they didn't look into it was because it could have proved that our existing ground could cope with additional capacity thereby scuppering their plans to realise cash by relocating elsewhere.
  17. Think it's fairly obvious that a temporary stand could have been used to accommodate many more paying Rangers' fans. It may also have had the additional benefit of keeping the cnuts out of our end of the stadium. Sadly we missed the best opportunity to make some cash out of this last season when we had 3 home games against them plus 2 against Hearts who also carried a large travelling support.
  18. As a strong backer of Ian Murray throughout his time with the club I was sad to see him leave, but on reflection not as disappointed as I would have been had he left at the end of last season. By signing a 2 year contract last year he bought himself a bit of insurance given the strength of the teams that arrived in the division while at the same time ensuring that the club would receive compensation if he successfully kept us up and moved on. This compensation has for once allowed us the luxury of being able to approach the employers of a successful senior league manager for a successor and today's appointment seems to have been met with universal approval. This is certainly an improvement on the days when we simply appointed the assistant manager to the role irrespective of experience or ability. Perhaps with hindsight we should have realised that Murray's reluctance to appoint an assistant was an indication that he wasn't going to continue beyond this season in any case. While previously fearing the inevitable day when Murray moved on, I feel surprisingly positive about the events of the last week. Rather than facing a survival battle with the same (slightly jaded) squad supplemented by a few short term loan signings I am hoping that Aitken can freshen things up a bit with some new permanent signings and look to build something a bit more long term. Thanks Ian, you did a great job. Welcome Stephen, I hope you get the support needed to build upon what has been achieved over the last 4 years. Well done to the club for acting swiftly and decisively and turning a potentially negative situation into a positive one. Come on ye Sons!
  19. Don't really understand the whinging every year about season ticket prices. You either choose to pay them or you don't. They are more expensive than they used to be because we are a better team than we used to be playing in a better league. True supporters should be happy to pay these prices to give us the chance to continue to compete at this level. If financial circumstances mean that you cannot afford to do so then you should direct your funds elsewhere, but you have two choices:- pay up or shut up.
  20. Disagree with this entirely. Gilhaney is an important player and should be retained along with Agnew. I'd like to keep Turner too but have a feeling he may be on his way. We do need to bring in a bit more strength to give us options, but there is no need to sacrifice all the creative midfielders.
  21. Get Murray up front, he is stealing a playing wage. The man is a disgrace.
  22. It's a crisis and Murray's to blame! What has he ever done for us? Have you guys not got a cat you could kick?
  23. If we don't sign anyone else then January has been an utter clusterfuck of a transfer window for us. And there will be only one person to blame for that... If this isn't having a pop then I wonder what is! Where should we realistically expect to be sitting in the league today? We should appreciate what we have because Murray won't be here forever and we'll certainly miss him when he leaves.
