Haven't read the full thread so don't know if anything about ticketing has been mentioned. My mates Dad is a Raith fan but didn't know until the day if he'd be able to go so hadn't bought a ticket. Turned out he could go so he went along expecting to get a ticket on the day. Was told he couldn't buy one and couldn't get in. He went home. I presume the Raith allowance wasn't sold out. If so what a way to treat fans.
Noticed in yesterday's Challenge Cup final that as well as having an ex Sons manager in charge Raith Rovers had seven players in their starting line up who used to play for Sons
Post match interviews are a complete waste of time and best ignored. Anyone getting wound up by what a manager says just after a match should be taking a look at themselves
As you say losing two goals from a corner was frustrating. So why did we have our smallest defender,Lynas, marking their tallest attacker, Thomson, on both occasions
The BBC site is rubbish. If you look at the picture forecast there isn't much likelihood of rain although their hour by hour bit on the same page says there is. Telly forecast says there shouldn't be much, just the odd shower
The met office forecast has only two periods of a couple of hours where rain is likely before kick off. And one of them is only 50%. So I'd say its fair to say that the forecast is reasonably promising
A repeat of 11th April 1972 when both clubs were going for promotion would be just fine. 5,000 at that one, probably a few less this time unless we get those temporary stands up
Difference being that last Saturday the pitch was frozen and had no chance of thawing out before 3.00pm. Today the problem is water which they might be able to rectify. Also last Saturdays inspection was five hours before kick off, today's is four hours fifteen minutes. So not a great deal of differece
As you know its not up to the club to call it off. If its playable it will be on. Or are you suggesting that the club should make no attempt to get the pitch playable? As for Saturday, Rangers B have a game before then on Thursday night
Yeah I know. Just seems odd that the club didn’t think an earlier inspection might have been worthwhile. I wouldn’t have thought that it was that difficult to tell if the pitch was too hard
