  1. It is also worth pointing out that last season (18 games) we scored 9 goals in total in the regular season, so far this season we have scored 13 in 6 games.
  2. Absolutely. Remote ticketing is all very well until it goes wrong. What happens if the barcode reader fails? Nobody there to fix/reboot, them nobody gets in, tech savvy or not.
  3. The one thing I remember about Charlie was that his face was bright red inside 15 mins and he kept a hankie up his sleeve and was constantly wiping his nose. Condolences to his family and friends.
  4. Red dots are for outsiders, we don't red dot our own.
  5. Let's hope there is no more shambles such as forcing the manager to attend the exit trials one week before the season starts to get over 11 players in the squad.
  6. I'm not talking about retaining Duffy with the financial and other constraints of this season. I'm talking about Duffy with a budget and an ability to bring in decent players, including loan players and not play three games a week, week after week, carrying multiple injuries.
  7. I'm not totally against Duffy. That was a highly unusual, probably never to be repeated season when we were playing three games a week for months, with players carrying injuries. Almost nobody was against Duffy joining us. I don't think he got a fair chance with COVID and a low budget. If he sees a higher player-wage budget, keeps the majority of the defence together - remember we had the third best defence in the league- and had the money to bring in a couple of midfield/wingers and a couple of decent strikers, who knows how well he could do. He does need to act quicker and better in pre-season and actually bring the players in rather than be left behind but let's not forget that none of the premier teams were loaning players out last season.
  8. Is there any point in Duffy staying for the play offs? Put Neill and McGeever, the joint players of the year in charge for the next two games - they can't possibly be any worse.
  9. Brabco put nothing into the club except fear and contempt. If the new owners are even partly serious about the ambitions they have outlined then can only be a good thing. If we build a new stadium and achieve the Championship again, then the supporters income won't be only (or largely) confined to a small number of away supporters - hopefully there would be more space for more away fans. I understand the negativity but let's at least give them a chance to prove their ambitions - we will know soon enough. I think this could be a great move or Brabco II. Today and just now I am going with great move.
  10. I don't really see how the SRG can be contacted to make a decision at 7.15pm on a Tuesday night. Are we to believe that as they're tucking into their mince and tatties they get a call asking if the Clyde game can go ahead.
  11. Taking that to the end of the season, if Clyde do not play again, their points total, taking into account the remaining three games would be 23.1578. Our total, presuming we lose to Peterhead and are awarded a PPG for the Clyde game would be 23.1, so we would lose out by 0.05 of a point (on average). So, something is needed against Peterhead.
  12. Comparison? It looks exactly like him, even the hair is the same...isn't it?
  13. Similar here - I will only seek a refund from Pixellot, not the club. I watched some of the match this morning and the picture quality was superb. The commentary was spot on and they clearly did their homework on both teams. I thought, from the small amount I managed to watch, that we played quite well, looked nice and tidy in the middle and the defence seemed to be quite calm and controlled - no real bomb scares, although I read on here that Rico was looking a little rusty in the second half. I will definitely be logging on every week.
  14. We can't limit this to specific servers - it has to work across all platforms.
  15. I am using edge as well but can't get on.
  16. Can't log on either. Saying there is a server error.
  17. This is spot on. Club's own systems usually rely on volunteers turning up each week. If nobody turns up, no stream, no additional income. Even if people turn up every week there will be variable output depending on the experience of the cameraman. The alternative is an automated system, which guarantees a feed for every game. The certainty of having a feed for a PPV game for many clubs will outweigh dependence on the reliability of volunteers turning up every match. With the necessity to bring money in at the moment, I think we have got this right.
  18. I think this looks great - much better than I expected and I like what looks like a higher viewpoint than the traditional Sons TV angle. I suspect people will fall into two camps - fans and customers. Customers will complain at the least little fault but fans will understand. Personally, as a fan, I would tolerate a fair amount of faults to be able to see the Sons play each week, as I live in the South of England. I also watch the local club Crawley on iFollow some weeks and this system came in for considerable criticism when it first started but it is stable and reliable now and comes in at £10 per match. I would pay more than that to watch Dumbarton though. If Sons FC Jr and I attend a game down here, it would cost me over £50 for travel, tickets and refreshments . Watching at home cost us £5 each - less than the cost of a couple of beers each. I am certainly willing to pay more than that to the club each week.
  19. Of course but if I see even a handful of games I will be happy.
  20. Down here in England I know several Sons' fans who will pay to watch.
