  1. Peterhead also gave up until the final 6 games of the season!!
  2. The same thing happened a few weeks ago as well after a few negative posts on the Saturday - when I looked in on Sunday, they were all removed!!!
  3. I posted a negative comment on their Facebook page about the performance of the team and the need for a change of manager. I got a few comments from one or two of the "Jim must stay at all costs" supporters trying to make me feel guilty for not getting behind the team. I removed my comment and will not be making another one - it would appear that only positive comments are acceptable.
  4. The referee got a mention as usual, he can't help himself!! If he concentrated more on the performance of the team rather than the performance of the referee, we might not be in the position that we are in now.
  5. Will he just not give the reporter a tape recording of the previous interviews - played well, didn't deserve to lose, the referee etc. One good thing, that bombscare won't be playing next week after his ordering off!!!
  6. Relegation would be the best answer and get a new man in with fresh ideas and build up a team that will get promotion and mount a challenge in Division 1. It may take a few seasons to get back but surely it would be better than what's on offer at the moment.
  7. The right time for Mcinally to have gone was several seasons ago, however, they made the unbelievable decision and asked him to stay!! As for support and less criticism, there's only so much that fans will put up with standing up at cold, windswept Balmoor - I think they have the right to criticize. Hard luck stories cut no ice with me - only goals and points matter.
  8. You're not allowed to say that - did you not know that he has been here 10 years and is part of the furniture at cosy Balmoor.
  9. I missed Mcinally's "Only An Excuse" interview after the 5-2 thrashing at Cove, however, if you listen to previous interviews you will get the gist!! As you say the referee will be high on the list followed by the best we've played blah, blah.
  10. One thing's for sure, we will at least have to score a goal to get anything from this game as our leaky defence is bound to concede. Watched the highlights from Cove game - shambolic defending!!!
  11. What you are really saying is that because McInally is part of the furniture at Balmoor, he cannot be sacked no matter how bad our performances are or league position we are in!! Recently Stephen Glass was sacked at Aberdeen for poor results by none other than his friend and Chairman Dave Cormack, which just goes to show that there is no sentiment in football. I have spoken to many fans like myself who won't be back until there are changes made at Balmoor.
  12. PFC under Jim Mcinally lost play-offs to play in the Championship in season 2012/13, won the title the following season 2013/14, lost play-offs again in 2015/16 and were then relegated in 2016/2017 after losing the play-offs. We again lost a Championship play-off in 2017/18 before being promoted as champions to Division 1 in 2018/19. Have we progressed since the late Neale Cooper was in charge?
  13. I would like to think it is the chairman, however, the manager has a job for life and he might have an equal say!!!
  14. I think you may have hit the nail on the head, it'll be a bit like the Sturgeon National Party - one voice, one opinion.
  15. I was a life long supporter and followed them from the Broch to Brora and up until a few seasons ago I was a season ticket holder and never missed a game. After an embarassing play-off defeat to Ayr United where we lost 6-2 on aggregate, I've only set foot in Balmoor maybe twice and nothing seemed to have changed. I understand the difficulty in attracting players to the NE and having to cut our cloth after the Covid epidemic, however, in my view it is time for change and a fresh pair of eyes with new ideas is required. Mcinally seems to be part of the bricks and mortar at Balmoor and everything seems a bit too cosy. We have only won 7 games all season and I'm tired of listening to the same old "we played well" but still lost. The same old "full time" teams excuse gets trotted out every so often, however, Cove and Montrose are part time and in the top 4, albeit Cove are splashing the cash like we did several seasons ago.
  16. This has been a problem for a few seasons now with the board adopting an "It'll be all right on the night" and "In Jim we trust" attitude. We have only won 7 games, 5 of them at Balmoor and the fans deserve more than the usual, "we played well but can't score" excuses every week. With only 8 games left, I cannot see us picking up many points and a relegation play-off is the best we can hope for!!
  17. I remember not too long ago that we had ambitions to emulate Ross County and move up through the leagues and build a new Soccer Academy indoor facility. Those plans seem to have fallen by the wayside and we are in a constant struggle to avoid slipping back into Division 2. Fresh eyes and ideas are needed urgently before we go the same way as Brechin City.
  18. It sticks in the throat of how well Cove Rangers have progressed over the last few seasons and are likely to be promoted to the Championship. Meanwhile we seem to have stagnated and have hovered around the bottom of Division 1 for a few seasons and seem to be making no progress whatsoever, with Division2 becoming a reality - back where we started 20 odd years ago.
  19. We're going back to where we started 20+ years ago - back to Division 2. We relied on McAllister for too long to pull us out of the mire and have never replaced him, coupled with a defence that rarely keeps a clean sheet - there is only one outcome.
  20. Scoring a goal would be a big achievement, preferably one more than the opposition, as we will definitely concede!!
  21. Ach, it's the story of our season, we've got f**k all up front. Why do we keep signing midfielders and defenders then?
  22. We may have taken the plaudits but they don't win prizes if you don't put the ball on the net even though we were denied a stonewall penalty. Unless we can find a way to score goals, we are destined to return to Division 2, back where we started 20+ years ago
  23. We're a team going nowhere apart from into the relegation play-offs and we all know what that means. Week in, week out we hear from players and management how well we have played without getting a result - it's getting a bit tedious now.
