  1. An excellent performance by the goalkeeper. I suspect a lot of people are eating humble pie tonight for questioning why DA didnt play Laidlaw. It didnt turn out to be the mauling some pre match perhaps thought it would be.
  2. You see I dont think he makes an 'arse' of his interviews. I think they are brilliant. His '100x better' remark in hindsight may have been regrettable, but other than that if what he says gets folk wound up, then thats their problem. He speaks honestly which I find refreshing, and I reckon there is method in what he says. I heard a well respected pundit on the radio today say as much as well.
  3. Explain the difference in signing players on a transfer policy that in your opinion reeks of "throwing a whole lot of shit at the wall & seeing if any of it'll stick' to one that signs players on long term deals who in my opinion have underperformed, underachieved, are inconsistent and frankly gone nowhere?
  4. In the absence of information some folk just fill the void with wild speculation. They become armchair experts and denounce DA and want him removed. Sad really. However if they just sat back and showed some patience, got their thinking cap on and thought about the situation they may, just may, realise DA perhpas knows what he is doing and let him get on with his job.
  5. Just looked into this. He didnt win a single game in 13 and the 3-1 loss against Raith ended his 6 month spell in charge. Not sure why his sacking is relevant.
  6. Nor me. The team is inconsistent, doesnt score enough and underperform and they were like that long before DA arrived. Now we hear some may not be giving 100%. Dont hear any ire being directed at those. If any have downed tools then I would be the first to dip my hand in my pocket to help pay their taxi fare out of Dingwall. For me haters are always going to hate and the absolute pile on I have seen and read on various social media channels is laughable. Its like folk are queuing up to listen to his post match talks with pitchforks and then foaming at the mouth when he speaks his mind. I personally back the man to the hilt, not through blind loyalty, but because I judge him on his past record here and in England. Judge the man when he has his own players in.
  7. Point 4 Far too early in my opinion to say the loans are duds. Point 2 Neither were doing anything. I liked Alex Samual. Lots of effort, but 1 goal? I will be keeping a sharp eye on Turner, he has a chance at Raith and it will be interesting to see if he can do anything. My guess is he has found his level there. Point 3 My guess is he gave the new keeper a chance as maybe he has to have a certain amount of minutes to play as part of his loan deal. Far better to use him today than during a league game. Laidlaw will be back for the next game I reckon. Point 5 You are never going to keep all the fans happy. I certainly dont feel alienated! As for the chairman, has he alienated him? Perhaps you know something I dont. As for the players. I would be out there to prove him wrong.
  8. The song is about being unafraid of the passage of time. And DA will get that.
  9. I quite enjoy them. I know when he speaks the internet quite often goes into meltdown. Actually quite funny.
  10. The league position he left us in makes me think different. No axe to grind with MM, and I wish him well, but we were going nowhere under him sadly.
  11. I am. I dont wait for his post match interviews waiting to pounce on comments he makes.
  12. These are not his players. The previous manager couldnt do anything with them with an 11th place finish last season and they were no better under his tenure this season. Big clear out required. I believe DA will get it right.
  13. Alex seems a decent bloke. He works really hard and can rumble up defences. I wish him the best of luck and hope he can start banging in the goals.
  14. “Don't judge someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes.”
  15. The squad we have just now has not exactly been firing on all cylinders, so if 3 or 4 players leave then I am not particularly bothered.
  16. The only thing that surprises me is some folk are surprised this game is called off. If you had checked the forecast for yesterday and today it would have been obvious that there was zero chance of it going ahead.
  17. An absolute media frenzy. Its unbelievable so many have reacted to what he said. I find it quite amusing
  18. Derek has every right to air his views and I back him in that decision. All too often we hear the same old lines trotted out after a defeat, but he has caused a media storm with his remarks so good on him. The game yesterday was rubbish, dressing it up as anything else is nonsense.
  19. To those who wish to give referees or linesmen abuse at games, perhaps in light of what happened in Turkey recently they will see the error of their ways and perhaps think that sometimes what might seem an 'OK' thing to do does impact on people lives.
  20. Derek Adams-What a guy. Malky signed good players, but they were simply under performing. In less than 2 weeks Derek has come in and got them to perform and what a transformation. Three clean sheets and 7 points from 9. No failings tonight but special mention to James Brown and Ross Laidlaw. I have at times been critical of Baldwin for his red cards, but his pass to Dhanda for the second goal, his goal line clearance and his footwork to dribble past 2 Motherwell players whilst under pressure are worthy of mention. The defence looks solid now, and they work ever so hard to not lose a goal. Tremendous, onwards and upwards.
  21. Excellent first 15-20 minutes, a real intensity about our play and we kept their keeper busy. We should have been at least 1 up (possibly more), but we failed to take our chances. The game settled down after that with both teams failing to make any impact in front of goal. Murray ran his socks off and Simms tried hard. Clean sheet, no red cards, a point and we move upto 10th. January will see some players coming in and out I suspect. After watching the game in Perth, what I saw today was an improvement on that display. Great to see Derek back in the dugout.
  22. Your not on a sticky wicket as far as I am concerned. Abuse is abuse and shouldnt be tolerated. I bet those who use the 'anonimity' of the stands wouldnt say what they shout on a one to one basis to any person.
  23. I recall a midweek game v Alloa in the league cup in 2016. It was a a miserable night with torrential rain at Recreation Park and we lost 3-2. It was an abject performance from Ross County and I trudged back to the car totally despondant. It wasnt raining yesterday in Perth, but as I walked back to the car I felt the same despondancy as I did that night 7 years ago. That was as bad a peformance that I can recall since that night in Alloa. I have no axe to grind with anyone, but we are not progressing and that is what concerns me.
  24. Well played Ross Laidlaw, you put a great shift in today. Never easy when down to 10 men, but credit to the side for keeping going against what was inevitably one way traffic. The Celtic end was quite quiet today compared to recent visits. No incessant drumming or smokebombs, which was good. I hope that is due to certain supporters not being allowed tickets. Is so well done Celtic FC.
