Ross County v Celtic - 04/11/23
silver replied to Matty-RCFC's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Well played Ross Laidlaw, you put a great shift in today. Never easy when down to 10 men, but credit to the side for keeping going against what was inevitably one way traffic. The Celtic end was quite quiet today compared to recent visits. No incessant drumming or smokebombs, which was good. I hope that is due to certain supporters not being allowed tickets. Is so well done Celtic FC. -
Hibs v Ross County - Tuesday, 7:45pm

Well that eases the pain of dropping 2 points against Motherwell. A tremendous come back, well done to the managment, players and most of all the supporters who travelled to the game to back the team. -

I have renewed my season tickets, and the club shop was quite busy when I was there with others also renewing theirs and people in for new shirts. I was given a figure as to how many season tickets have been sold, and if correct its easy to see why they have been rushed off their feet. I suspect the interest in renewing tickets etc has been helped by the euphoria of the dramatic win against Partick. -
County vs St Johnstone, 24/05/23
silver replied to Sensible Soccer🏴's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
For those who criticise Jordan White please remember how important his goals are since the split. We are on a +8 goal difference with Dundee United and that just might keep us from 12th spot should we lose on Sunday and Utd win. Since losing 6 to Hearts that cushion as good as vanished, but his 4 goals in the past 4 games have helped us recoup that gap and they may well prove vital. Finally take a bow Jack Baldwin, that was a super strike. -
Ross County -1 vs Dundee United -1
silver replied to Savage Henry's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Cast your mind back to the end of last season when County played Utd in Dingwall. We just failed to get in to a European spot and the Utd fans invaded the pitch with many goading and taunting the home support. We were denied the opportunity to applaud our team who were going to do a lap of the pitch at the end of a remarkable season. Well revenge is a dish best served cold and as I watched Utd capitulate my mind wandered back to that day and I had a smug grin on my face. As bad as Utd were, we were brilliant. The combination of White and Brophy up top was fantastic. Get Brophy signed up! His second goal was an absolutely sensational strike, his first was a cool finish and the cross for the third was inch perfect. No often you can say that every man played their part, but today they all did and there were no failings that I could see. It was a great team performance. Looking forward to watching Sportscene tonight.- 130 replies

Ross County vs Killie
silver replied to deadasdillinger's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Kille had the better I thought of the first half. Lots of huffing and puffing from them, but no end product and we defended well. A great counter attacking goal from us and fantastic to see two of the new signings playing a big part in it. The second goal so early in the second half crushed Kilmarnock I thought and Dhandas was the icing on the cake. Full marks to Samuals when he came on. He chased and harried the Killie defence and put in a huge amount of work. The lad from Wigan didnt have much time to impress, but he did a lung bursting sprint to win a ball that he shouldnt have had a hope of winning. Three goals and a clean sheet, roll on Sportscene. If you are a Killie supporter you might want to look away before the third goal is scored. -

Saturday was really disappointing, I left the ground deflated and thought that the result was a hammer blow to our chances of survival in this league. Today is a new day and hope springs eternal. Looking at the league from 8th down to 12th there really isnt much between the sides. If we can get some fresh faces in and we can start scoring goals then I can see us just maybe getting out of this predicament. My hope is that if we have a sell on clause for Ross Stewart and if he is sold by Sunderland in the transfer window then cash maybe available to help bolster the sqaud. I live in hope! -
Dingwall Vics v Rangers
silver replied to Matty-RCFC's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Delighted to see the stewards removing away fans who were in the home end. If you sit quietly and dont wind up the home support then I dont have an issue with it. If however you taunt the home fans and celebrate when your team scores then getting ejected shouldnt come as surprise. Well done to Hearts today for getting the late equaliser. -

Thats 6 goals in 3 games for County, a big improvement from the start of the season. Well done to the players and management for turning our season around in the past few weeks, real signs of improvement. -

Not interested in either side, but heard anout the singing on the radio. Free speech is everyones right, but before you open your mouth you really should ask yourself what I am going to achieve? Is it to express a deeply held belief or am I doing this simply to annoy someone? If its the latter then you should keep your mouth shut. I wonder also if those who were bold enough to do this would do it if they were by themselves? I doubt it. If thats the case what does that tell you about them? I read a book once and there was a line in it which said 'Would your Mum be proud of you for doing that?' and I would ask all those who sang this song the same thing. My guess is most parents would be ashamed of their childrens behaviour. Whether those responsible care about that or not I dont know, but shaming my parents is something I would never want to do.- 234 replies

County vs Aberdeen, 03/09/22
silver replied to Sensible Soccer🏴's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
If Aberdeen had a decent striker then they would have won comfortably. Despite their possession and attacks on goal they created very few clear chances. Gutted to lose the goal so close to the end, but once again we scored late on. That became a bit of thing for us last season and we did it against Kilmarnock this season and once again today. Late goals like that always make it feel like a win instead of a draw. A big hard earned point for us. Delighted for Akio as well, I think he will be a big player for us this season. -

If ever a game deserved to be a draw then the one in Dingwall yesterday was that one. Not pretty but we got the break and I am delighted to finally see us get points on the board. Top marks to Jordan White for setting up the goal, great header to set up Edwards to score. My MoTM was Dhanda. -

Are you referring to a striker? -
Poor first half from us, but the substitutions in the second changed things and we were a lot better. A tremendous goal by Spittal-a peach of a strike. The result was ultimately irrelevant sadly, but a top 6 finish after the start we had is a tremendous achievement. It will be hard to replicate that next season. Sadly the behaviour of fans from some clubs this season has been dreadful. Pitch invasions, smoke bombs, running onto the pitch with your phone for selfies or just to film yourself has now become 'normal' behaviour for some. Its time the football authorities clamped down on this. The only way to get the message home is to have points deductions or huge fines. I appreciate Dundee United took a large travelling support today and the income from this is welcome, but the scenes today were dreadful. As a supporter I would rather see our club forgo the income and instead ban away fans from clubs whose supporters act like this. I suspect there could well be serious fallout from today. As a result of the 2nd pitch invasion our players lap around the pitch was seriously curtailed. It must have been a good 20+ minutes after the full time whistle that the away supporters finally cleared the pitch. Such a shame for the players and management who deserved the recognition after doing so well this season.

My first game as a county fan was the 11-0 win over St Cuthbert in 1993. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine standing in the Jailend that day there could be the possibility I might watch the likes of Feyenoord, Spurs etc in a European tie in Dingwall. A long, long way to go before we reach that point of course, but to even come remotely close to the possibility of this happening is in itself an incredible achievement. There have been many historic moments in this clubs history, the Scottish cup final appearance, League cup win and promotions, but to make our debut in Europe would be up there with the best we have achieved. Exciting times ahead. -

Very well done to Mr Mackay and the whole team. -
Good game. Both sides had great chances, but failed to capitalise on them. Would have taken a point before the game so no real complaints. Hard to pick a MotM but Laidlaw was worthy of it with the penalty save and then another really good stop in the first half. An entertaining 90 minutes. Well done to the players and management.

Ross County v St Mirren 5/3/22
silver replied to Lex's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
The past 2 games have not been too pleasing to watch, but digging out back to back 1-0 wins more than compensates for that. Baldwin was my MoTM with Iacovitti not far behind. Tremendous to be in the top 6, but it wont last. Regardless of that each point gets us further away from the relegation zone and ultimately that is the priority for me. Well done once again to Mr Mackay and the players. -

I expected a draw at best today so delighted with the result. Thought it was a poor first half, but we looked so much better in the second. Regan is having a great season and both his goals today were excellent. Credit to Hungbo for his neat finish. With Dundee losing as well means we push further away from the bottom. Credit to the players and management for the result and a hard earned 3 points. -

Not my club, but those scenes were embarrasing to watch. Adults behaving like that is shameful and I hope some the following day looked in the mirror and felt a wee bit ashamed of what they did. My guess is if there wasnt a crowd there to hide behind not one of them would have faced the team in the manner they did.
