  1. Quiet Saturday mate? Shankland is the boy is he, absolute class.
  2. If we're away to line up with Watson right back and Smith left I might greet. Only other option with that first eleven is a back 3 with Smith and Sporle as wing backs. Powers straight in. No massively confident like, would take a draw right now if you offered me it.
  3. What would be your preference? f**k him off to train with the youths then bin him in the summer? Pay to release him now? He's played a dozen games tor United and obviously wasn't fit in a lot of them. Like I said, I'm not overly optimistic but writing the guy off without giving him a chance seems pointless and wasteful. Judging from Neilsons comments he'll be getting his shot and I fully expect to see him take a place on the bench in the coming weeks. eta. I, and I think plenty of others, had written off Paul Watson as being shite but a chance came his way and he's put in a couple of months worth of really good performances now. It is possible for a player to turn things around.
  4. There's no logic to giving a football player a chance to impress?
  5. Neilson and Reynolds both been in the media talking up Sow the last couple of days. Can't say I'm overly optimistic but if he's going to be here till the summer we're as well giving the guy a shot.
  6. In the paper as done but nothing on the fishul yet.
  7. Powers and Freeman signed according to the courier. 18 month deal for Powers.
  8. Pawlett has plenty of technical ability but up to now he hasn't looked physically or mentally tough enough to make a real difference for us. Too prone to injury and too prone to going missing during difficult moments. He might still come good but he has a lot to prove imo.
  9. You seem to have a bit of a fixation with people being angry or raging, is it possible you're taking this all slightly too seriously? You also seem to be attributing opinions to me which I've never expressed. For me Dundee are and always will be our biggest rivals and I'll always take enjoyment from us being on top in the city. I expect the same back when the roles are reversed. Fucked if I know what you're on about in that second sentence.
  10. Ross my man, I don't care if you're angry or not. Surely to f**k though you understand why Utd fans might be wanting to do a bit of gloating at the moment?
  11. Imagine responding to a simple number with these wee diatribe then ending it by calling other people angry. Quality stuff.
  12. Nah mate, you can't just call something "low quality" in isolation. The term clearly implies some kind of scale on which we're measuring quality. Obviously in this case it's entirely subjective but if you want to describe the league as low quality then it's legitimate to ask what it's being compared to.
  13. I don't doubt the years Hearts, Hibs etc were in the division it was stronger than it is now but those few years are the surely the exception rather than the rule? To have 3 of the biggest clubs in the country in the second tier together was a bit of an aberration. I don't think the league is any better or worse this season than it has been while we've been down and I suspect the quality in the years before 14/15 would have been similar to now.
  14. As well as being 14 points ahead we have also scored 11 more than the next best attack and conceded 6 less than the next best defence. In total, over the course of 20 games, our goal difference is +22 better than our nearest rival. No bad given how often we're scraping these undeserved wins.
  15. Utd have spent the few years in this division being soft as f**k, pleasing to know it's no longer the case no matter how "unimpressive" it might be to opposition fans.
  16. Starting to look a fairly difficult trip to Partick next week given we have no midfielders but beyond that the fixture list looks pretty kind leading up to Inverness at home on the 21st Feb. Should really be looking to get this put to bed in the next half a dozen games.
  17. 3 points and a clean sheet will do for me. Well done to the 700 who went down there.
  18. Tbf when the currant buns sell Morelos for £50m they'll have it to spare.
  19. Kipre in and Scott Sinclair on loan. Transfer windows are always good for a wee laugh.
  20. Haha good one mate!! Harkes and Stanton both out for the weekend most likely then, given how pish King has been to date I can imagine this will only increase the clubs desire to get a midfielder in. Maybe a wee shot for Glass to stake a claim over the next 2 games?
  21. 150 odd games in the MLS since 2013 although no played a huge amount of football the last couple of years. https://www.themaneland.com/platform/amp/2019/10/18/20919536/2019-orlando-city-season-in-review-dillon-powers Lad here seems fairly positive about him though. Can't be any harm having a look if he really is in on trial.
