  1. For someone who doesn't look especially tall Sal wins an incredible number of headers at both ends. Pity that we've not yet managed to work out how to capitalise on his flick ons. Only 3 off Longworth’s best scoring tally for us which is a terrific achievement considering for large parts of the season he’s been starved of service. Genuinely not seen a better player at heading the ball the way Salim does, some of the goals he’s scored with his head have been terrific. Still think he needs to improve his ability on the ball but if he keeps putting the ball in the net I’ll not be complaining
  2. Comfortable win against a dreadful Annan side who look a shadow of the team they were last season. First half we created good chances and passed the ball really well, no surprise to see the team looking a bit more disjointed in the 2nd half when the impressive Slater was subbed. Really hoping it was only precautionary and not another injury, same applies to Maclean who was also excellent. Morrison looked a lot more comfortable at centre half than he did in midfield and made a terrific tackle in the first half. 2nd half a bit of a non event but great to get back to winning ways and into 3rd place for now.
  3. Slater has literally played about a game and a half in total in which he was the best player in the park for 30 minutes against Cowdenbeath. To say Slater can’t fight at this level is baffling, especially when you weren’t even at the game last night. McKinnon has literally lost 1 game in the league, bit of calm needed from people
  4. Big game against a team we tend to really struggle against. Often been unable to cope with Annan’s physicality but I’d like to think we’re more than ready for that with the squad we’ve got now. If Jamieson and Maclean are back in the starting 11, I think we’ve got every chance of picking up maximum points. Are we able to sign anyone on loan still or have we used them all up ? Feel like the only position I’d consider getting still is a striker to challenge Salim if it’s not going for him
  5. Aye Brilliant, let’s just play players cause they come from our system and give 110% even if they’re playing rubbish. Mortimer and Gibson are not of the required standard even before McKinnon joined us. Gibson’s injuries have clearly affected his game and wasn’t the same and Mortimer is never gonna lead you to a promotion push. For what it’s worth, Davidson has been smashing in midfield since he’s joined. Can’t comment on his performance yesterday since I wasn’t there but feel like your picking at straws with that kinda statement
  6. If they are good enough, they will play in the first team, simple as that. We are not a youth team. If another Andy Robertson or Shankland appears from the system, most likely they will be involved.
  7. Any type of result yesterday would of been a bonus. Cove’s home record is ridiculous so it was always gonna be a tough ask. Hopefully with the extra experience brought in, we’re able to respond to defeats a lot better and get back to winning ways immediately. Huge game on Wednesday against a side that will be doing their upmost to get any type of result so we’ve got to be up for it. Really hope Maclean is available again, anyone know what injury he’s got ?
  8. Craig Slater available for tomorrow, great news
  9. Purdue loaned out to East Stirling for the rest of the season. Shame it’s not really worked out for him, has bundles of talent but didn’t really ever kick on from his early performances in the league cup. Should do very well In Lowland League
  10. Could easily play in the championship in my opinion. Got everything you want as a centre half. My player of the year so far
  11. Would be absolutely delighted if we took 3 points, however I’d be more than satisfied with a point, providing we beat Brechin mid week
  12. Moved to the Netherlands a couple weeks back
  13. Superb result and I’d say we edged it overall. Elgin had chances to score but the striker absolutely bottled it on each occasion. Smart made an impact for Elgin when he came on but you could tell Sutherland was a massive miss. Impressive performance from the whole team with Doig and Jamieson being standouts. Really think Jamieson could quite comfortably play at a much higher level, he strolls each game and rarely puts a foot wrong. Hopefully he’s signed up for next season. Wonderful goal from Galt which was absolutely deserved. The energy levels he’s showed in recent games has been outstanding, whilst Salim continues to score another brilliant header. You’d be struggling to find a better player at scoring goals with his head at this level. Great to see us take the 4th place spot now and hopefully its not long before we can overtake Cowdenbeath. It’s in our hands now and Ive got full belief that we can make the playoffs.
  14. Sad to see him leave but unfortunately it’s came as no surprise. Injuries seemed to have affected his performances and he didn’t seem to be the same reliable and consistent defender that he had been for a long time. Good luck to him wherever he ends up
  15. A win for either team will be massive in their play off hopes, especially for us since we’ve got a game in hand over Elgin and it’s against Brechin. By the sounds of it, Sutherland is Injured for Elgin so that’s a big boost for us. No reason why we can’t win this game with the players at our disposal
  16. Grant’s interviews so far have been terrific. Really comes across as a leader
  17. New signings once again showing up well. Again, I’d say MacLean was our most dangerous players, constantly getting by his man and putting in some decent crosses. Very impressed with Doig, got a bit of size about him for an 18 year old and looks an upgrade on Summers based on what I’ve seen. Special mention to Kieran Moore as he seems to be maturing more as a player, adding goals to his game in recent times and his 2nd goal today was a quality finish. King put in a great shift aswell considering he’s never met the team until today. Buzzing to see the team gel more and more and thankfully going by Mckinnon’s interview, Slater won’t be out for too long
  18. Not allowed to celebrate a goal nah ? A late winner from an absolute howler, of course the players are gonna go nuts. Hate when fans criticise a team for celebrating
  19. Peter Grant should be an excellent signing for league 2
  20. Clark loaned out to Annan for the rest of the season. Thought he was decent when he played, just seemed to go down the pecking order when McKinnon arrived.
  21. We’ve got to give promotion a big push now with the players coming in. We’ve been able to beat Edinburgh and Cowdenbeath over the past month so we’re more than capable now.
  22. It’s gonna be very interesting to see if he plays on Saturday. 18 month deal aswell so there’s basically no future for Muir now. Very harsh but just got to back McKinnon just now and what he’s trying to implement
  23. I’d be shocked if we end up signing Cammy Bell. Would be gutted if Muir was dropped for him
  24. Completely agree with you about Finnie. Not convinced with him at right back, however he looks a lot more comfortable playing in the centre of midfield. Was terrific against Edinburgh in that position before being put to centre half because of an injury to Jamieson
