Played pretty well in the first half.
Celtic always going to come out like that in second half, and needed to keep it at 0-0 for as long as poss, but think losing Tanser hurt us, with Celtic's first two goals coming down that side.
Was absolutely hilarious watching Celtic get so many soft fouls, and listening to Grant and his mate thinking the refs were out to get them.
The calls for red cards for Strain and Gogic were bonkers.1 -
Bwmono, Tanser and Kiltie now injured. Not good news.

Saints lucky not to be down to 8 men - according to Grant and his co-commentator.

Ayunga's recently signed a new deal and Mandron is our top scorer with double figures but aye, they'll go out on loan.
We have to start Mbappe every week, with Haaland and/or Kane as his partner.
So I think there’ll be limited game time for Ayunga and Mandron, so makes sense for one or both to go out on loan…. To Barcelona probably.0 -

He is the first forward we have had in years that if he gets a 1-on-1 with the keeper I'm reasonably confident he is going to score. One of the best in that situation we have had.
Absolutely!
Miles better than, for example, that guy Olusanya we singed in 2022.
Whatever happened to him?
(All joking aside, incredible work from both the coaching staff and the player himself to make this transformation!)2 -

Is there ANYTHING to be said for having another pitch inspection?
Game suddenly back on at 7.15.
Dundee fans outnumber Rangers fans by 5-1.

5th won't get Europe if Aberdeen win the cup.
Funnier than the Rangers statement.

If you bought it on tick would that be HP Hovercraft?
I'll get my coat.2 -
Heard one Rangers-leaning pundit on the radio about 1pm saying "This is a disgrace, we have to find a better way to do this, there are people travelling from N. Ireland for these games".
So much wrong about that I don't know where to start.8 -

I feel dirty for even saying this, but I now actually want one of these two kunts to win this game over the other. The away team.
I need a shower.
I used to despise them both equally.
That changed in 2014.

More or less of a penalty than the one Saints weren’t give against Hearts yesterday when VAR asked the ref to the monitors?

In the cold light of day…
In this fixture earlier in the season the VAR/Ref combination ruled out 3 Saints goals.
Yesterday only two key interventions in Hearts favour.
Progress!

Because he's hopelessly incompetent, not some anti St Mirren conspiracy.
I'd love to believe that.
And TBH, and don't think it's anti-Saints specifically, not sure it'd have happened if we'd been playing Well, St Johnstone, Livvy...0 -

Dallas making a VAR check for a St Mirren penalty to help Hearts run the clock down is some mental gymnastics
Why do you think he did it?
Was never a penalty in a million years.0 -

Thought we were worth a point over the piece but we probably didn't create enough.
Fair play to Hearts, top 6 again for us is a very good season but looks like last year when it peters out again.
I hope the club don't have that attitude.
We could in theory be starting the top 6th 4 points ahead of 6th.
And with 5th hopefully still enough for Europe then we've got to be trying to get that.5 -

I don't think that's a penalty, you've got to wonder what a qualified referee - with a few views at different angles - has seen to call the referee over to look at it.
Dallas absolutely taking the piss there.
It's never a penalty; but A) makes it look like he's being balanced, and B) knocks a couple of minutes off the clock for a team who've been trying to run that clock down.0 -

Awful game.
That free kick in the last minute sums up our performance. Everything we do is far too slow. Toyosi has had a few moments where he looks like he can get at Rowles but invariably ends up on his arse. One of Kilties quieter games as well.
Both teams the same. Try to play fast passing football in these conditions and you leave yourself wide open to an interception and a fast opposition attack.
I understand the caution, but we'll need to start taking chances later if we don't get back into it.0 -
Nothing between the teams except Dallas.
Was it him that gave four penalties against us at Ibrox?
I genuinely thought we'd get the benefit of the doubt from VAR after the 3 goals chopped off in the last home game with Hearts - then I heard who was the VAR official.
It also looked like a handball from Vargas to control it to get the shot off in the first place.
Perhaps Dallas thought that was a separate phase of play?0 -

No Ryan Flynn at right back and no Charles Dunne in defence please. Bring back James Bolton, Elvis and Richard Taylor. Baccus has to start as well and Kwon if he’s available.
If we can drop 2 players and replace them with 5, we really should be winning this.

The account you’ve quoted has been a bit economical in the description of the incident and selective of the replay angles, IMO.
Marcondes and Goldson are essentially running side by side before Marcondes decides his legs don’t work after he realises Butland is gathering the ball.
Sterling gets in front of Obita and is brought down by a tangle of legs rather than any tussling going on.
That’s not to compare the incidents to any of the others you mention, just the account that tweeted these seems to be a bit selective.
That's what I assumed it was at the time, but when you watch it again it really isn't.
There's no accidental clip, not tangle, the Rangers player starts going down when he realises how close the defender is and their feet tangle AS he's going down.
Very 'clever' bit of attacking play, but VAR should have spotted that.

There you go. Antisemitism doesn’t exist. All made up by the Tory press.
Last night loud and clear we heard them - for the 1,000th time - sing their bile. I was pointing out how that would be reacted to if they were attacking a different religion.
The guy I replied to was implying that those calling for a ceasefire in Gaza were singing "We're up to our knees in Jewish blood".
Absolute nonsense.

I think, going by reports about those demos in London every week, that sort of chant might be welcomed down there. This is a bit tongue in cheek of course, but sectarianism seems to be subjective these days.
Don't believe what you read in the Tory press mate.

Guessing Lundstram will be applying for his Equity Card when he retire from the game. This game had just shown why most decent human being can't stand that club, their fans and what they stand for.
Fair points, but I think he'd have some strong competition from Emilianos on the acting front.

I hope Hibs or someone else is brave enough to ban them from their ground full stop until something changes within their followers. In 2024 surely we should draw a line at allowing their racist bile to be belted out at every ground in the country.
It's not as if what they're doing isn't clearly wrong.
The government tried to make it easier for clubs to be held to account for this kind of thing - but the media and opposition parties hounded them till it was scrapped.
Can you imagine if it was "We're up to our knees in Jewish blood - surrender or we'll kill you".

This could be one of the worst games of football quality wise I’ve seen in years.
Can’t blame pitch or weather either.
