Also thought the referee was absolutely hopeless yesterday. That booking for Cuddihy was genuinely laughable, not even a foul never mind a booking. The ball was nearly out for a throw by the time the Bonnyrigg player got there! Between that and being pedantic about where some throw ins were taken and not others, a few times could’ve just played advantage but stopped the game. He was just rubbish.

Looks like McCall will be trying to get King back for the second half of the season, has undoubted ability on the ball and scored another screamer today. Do wonder about his work rate at times, but also not helped by the fact he was surrounded by utter garbage for his loan for the most part.

Absolutely no idea what Lyon was thinking, made the last 10 minutes nervy for no reason. We had controlled it from the start. We sit above the park at Hamilton and I’ve still got a sore neck from watching Bonnyrigg. There’s very little technical ability in that side. Overall much better, and with a few more additions hopefully more performances like that to come. The third goal was an absolute peach, but the first was also well worked. Connor Young does a power of work up front, and is taking chances when they come now.

Josh McCullochs performance against Brechin is possibly the single worst individual performance I’ve ever seen. Looked like he’d never kicked a ball in his life. 7 out the door by the 5th January, incredible stuff.

With 3 already in and 5 out, I’d say we’re ahead of the curve for January window. It’s notoriously difficult to get deals early at this level as you’re waiting for the teams above to sort their squads. I share the hope that more deals are done early, but not losing the head that they aren’t.

Actually being able to defend would be good as well. Given Craig is away, I’m hoping a left back is lined up. At least the three signed will have had a few weeks training with the squad and won’t be totally new for what is a big game next week.

Forbes was ridiculously unfit. Also meant to be some sort of set piece specialist and I don’t think he ever hit the target or found a Clyde player with one.

Why do we continually play Lyon at right back instead of Hynes? He’s been shite since we first had him.
