Imagine coming onto a thread just to post that, must not have much else to do with his Saturday night. Away this weekend so wasn’t there but what a result and sounds like it could’ve been a lot more. We’ve definitely turned the corner after a difficult start this season. Pleased to see smith get a first league goal too, but Goodwillie is a class act and deserved a day like today, it’s been a long time coming.

First few betfred cup games it was clear DGW wasn’t fully fit, since the league started he has and has been in good form. Scoring plenty but bringing others into the play.

90% of rumours on here are pish so I’m happy to wait for the club to announce anything.

It’s annoying when 1 person for example says we get 3k for travel, and another says 10k. Most people’s annoyance comes from clearly inaccurate info. I don’t think p&b is place for putting up what the clubs finances are.

Need to keep the right attitude and just keep doing what we’ve been doing since the Falkirk game. Would be a big 3 points at this early stage if we can get them.

I really can’t work out the point to the last 3 pages of this thread. Total rubbish.

So the governing body pay out between 3 and 10k we’ve established. A home tie would be good for money in, although an away tie in wales or Ireland would be class.

Hilson was forfars best player I thought, he looked dangerous going forward. Bit disappointed not to win it but said before the game a point would be a good one, so can’t complain too much. Defensively very sound again, Howie and rumsby seem to be forming a good partnership. That referee was absolutely woeful, as was the linesman on our side.

Hope the weather is better in Forfar than down here, wouldn’t be difficult right enough.

How is parking around the stadium?

First trip to Forfar myself on Saturday and looking forward to it. Saturday should give us a huge boost of confidence, but Forfar will be another big test as I expect them to be challenging for the play offs. A draw would be fine, I said after the first 4 games that 4 points would be a good return, although I didn’t expect to get it. Hope we can kick on.

Pretty sure a dunfermline fan was on last week saying they have injuries at centre half so I imagine it won’t be happening.

See the folk that go into the Arria pre game, do they get included in the attendance? Falkirk saying they had 1503 there, leaving around 550 in the attendance but I thought it looked a bit busier and from Falkirks highlights too.

Excellent performance from everyone in our team, can’t pick any failures although I’m not sure petkov was any better in midfield. The best I’ve seen Howie play. Gomis should’ve been sent off after 20 minutes, never mind the other bookable foul at the end. Also, Sammon is pure pish. Mitchells save at the end was brilliant and pretty much the only meaningful save all game I can remember. Thought we deserved it overall. Mckinnons plan seems to be throw on more strikers and hope it pays off.

Will be good to have the away stand open, very rare nowadays. On the game itself, can only hope we somehow manage to tighten up at the back. Going forward we are fine and will score goals. Going in certainly more in hope than expectation.

Heard Danny on Clyde 1 earlier saying he is waiting on international clearance for a player from Tenerife and one from Australia.

I wouldn’t look too much into being subbed in a fairly meaningless game.

Seen a comment earlier that the back 4 are a disgrace to the jersey, 3 of that back 4 got us promoted last year. Ridiculous comment to make.

Felt like we were well drilled in the first half, kept our shape well and limited airdrie to very little. Second half we’ve let them straight back in, all the goals were preventable but the third is a great finish to be fair.

Assuming we’ll be in the same stand as the airdrie fans?

Another difficult game to start the season, only benefit is we’ve played airdrie and know roughly what to expect. Although we’ll need to do better than we did in the cup. If ally love is fit I’d start him.

From any appearance I saw throughout last season, 1 start was justified. I’ll be pleased if he does prove me wrong

Wasn’t there last night but it’ll take more than 1 or 2 games to convince me Ross Lyon is good enough, he showed next to nothing for me last season.

Would rather Goodwillie was given a rest tonight. Fairly strong team tonight.
