Not many tickets left for the game on saturday and hearts have sold out their allocation!!! So hurry down or call the club on 01333 426323 to get yours

Hopefully we get a few more shifted by Saturday #SellOut before August comes that would be great for the club.

  2. Will they be a chance to sponsor the more younger players ie Laird, A. Davidson, Cosgrove, Allan etc as they ain't listed on the website at the moment just a thought as we no doubt we will see a few in amongst the first team like two last night on the bench.

How big a game is Saturday though and the thought of winning the group aswell.

Come on East Fife: you can do it.

  3. Utter fabulous result tonight it totally blew me out the water the boys were ace all 14 that played looked well up for that game, certainly bring crowds to the game on Saturday with that kind of result. As it all comes down on Saturday encounter do we repeat the wins and go for a win or take the capital men for a brucey bonus point surely we can hold our own up against levein and win the group but whatever its to be it'll be tasty without lafferty this time all in all  I've enjoyed tonight, more of the same on Saturday please!

Come on East of Fife!! 😊 let's do this...

Ps I'm glad the managers fund set up I'm already committed to that, absolute good way to contribute to the club.

Been away all weekend so just catching up. Really disappointing start to the season, but it is just the first competitive game and we had a shocker in last year's league cup and still had a fun season. Hopefully we can get the win at the weekend, but we're definitely not qualifying from the group now so lets just focus on getting the team up to fitness for the start of the league campaign.

Oh, and let's sign a left back and centre half.

    ^^ this is so positive.

  5. No Dunsmore today, hopefully once he is back Watson and Dunlop are the cb's. Really gutting to lose to one of our rivals especially in the league below doesn't fill anyone with confidence with the season just starting. Hopefully injuries are also cleared up and bizzare to leave dowds on the bench hopefully defence and attacking click soon.

If Church does sign.EF will have a squad of 19.

Gives us a left back that we don't have unless Slattery fills that role but rather him in midfield in his natural position with energy in the middle of the park and out wide of midfield and lets us get in a permanent left back or left footer in which we haven't had for few seasons even though cb can be a worry I would rather wages went on a player for a position we don't have tbh and that's true we are who we are and we need to use who and what we have unless a higgy-watson partnership form or rotate to see who will get it at cb but a left back is what we need I say!! So I rather worry and flatter in January and access what we have and do something then than last January window was shocking tbh and the form didn't help matters at the end of last season coup with injuries and missing crucial penalties to get us above fifth and claim a play off. So let's get this one over the line and worry later with the squad would be at 19 if this is a done deal as said..

What kind of player is Ross Brown guys? Signed for Brechin.

Was a promising young player can play on the right of midfield also through the middle and at times during the GN era he had Ross playing at Right back and right wing back but since Ross left us for Airdrie then livingstone he hasn't been the same Ross Brown at East fife. I get the impression he regrets his decision to leave EF should do well at Brechin plus someone Barry knows with his time at Bayview.

    Good luck to the boy.

  8. My aim is to see us finish in the promotion play offs and above 5th place I genuinely thought we were going to do last season but fadded away around the time we missed that penalty at home to Arbroath, in all my time following us we've never been higher than 5th in this league! Something needs change and hopefully with an improve attacking department than last campaign minus RC who at the time when we faded he was nowhere to be seen in scoring goals across all four strikers, midfield is improved with the signings of Hunter (Who's on form) and Danny Denholm but defence can be a bit lightweight even though resigning Murdoch and Higgins I feel we need one or two to improve the Cb and my need of wanting a recognised Left back in ASAP! As for the two guys in the sticks the back up has been about between the championship (Ayr) and League 2 with Queens Park will provide compensation for Brett who is better out the two but Hart is improvement to Couser/McDowall and Terry who haven't had much games in the football league to push Brett and that was our problem last season there was cover but not much to push Brett if form dips so that another area improved. We all know Falkirk made some crazy signings in this league with the signings of Bell, Sammon etc but Raith had added a few additions this season and also lost a few but this will be tough league indeed but they'll be plenty high scoring games aswell as shocks this league is anyone's also a team we need to watch this year will be Clyde under Danny Lennon I sense they've rejuvenasised dunno they come across as team after finally gaining promotion. Just can't wait till the football begins and we get a few wins in the Betfred Cup first, felt last seasons Cup group the result wise we finish bottom even though a pretty decent display at mcdiarmid Park so hopefully we start with a win away to our west neighbours - kick things off.

    Come on East Fife!!

Impressive hopefully they can add to their team with six signed up and see their development progress towards the first team in the near future but its a start. Hopefully the website keeps tabs and put up a squad profile get some sponsorship in Maybe another idea and some updates to the under 20s team either on twitter or website on their games but the future is bright.

I think he's maybe our youngest ever club captain, but thats just guessing, can't imagine any other 22yo players who've managed it with us.

Our record fee is £1.75m, so you'd imagine theres a fair chance we could breach that figure with him. Unbelievable player.

Whatever you do keep hold of your best player, I absolutely loved Jason Kerr at East fife and so did Gary Naysmith!!

  12. Is Reekie not a local player from Pittenweem? would make sense to sign him up as another centre back signing, young promising player with lot of years ahead of him pushing Dunlop and the another centre back Higgins this season seems logical to sign up another player I would like to see returning is Pagey? he might not have a good season before he left for Penny Cars Stadium but was a fans favourite at the back if he was love which I don't think he is at Airdrie after he tryed to get a switch to newly promoted Peterhead last week but it fell through by the looks of it and his position at Airdrie is unclear it seems sense we should bring him home likewise with all the players we have brought back to the club ie Willis, Wallace, Duggan etc.. Still think we need to replace Sparky and get a left sided player in or a left back type in ASAP feel we haven't really replace since we had Penrice and GN here.

What was Mathew knox like for you? He was a trialist for us today.

He came to us two January's ago, very pacey but definitely doesn't look like a goalscorer of such unless his form with livi u20s has alot of hype about the kid but we still to see the product though hence the less response; last season he ended up at Berwick on a similar deal.

Broque Watson. Any good? Not get a deal with you? On trial with us today.

ETA - apologies for another trialist question having seen what’s above.

Chipped in with a few well under20s goal before joining us on a poor run, a winger who has yet to find his feet and a bit lightweight still think he'll be out his depth in the league above us and was pretty much in and out our team. But good luck to the boy anyways.

Congratulations to the Supporters Club on winning the sponsor draw and those involved should be commended for the regular financial support they provide.   However I really do hope that the members of the Supporters Club look at the option of promoting a local charity by offering them the opportunity to be the name on the shirt rather than simply having East Fife Supporters Club on the strip.

If this is handled well the Supporter Club can work with East Fife and our wider fan base to support a local charity to promote the positive role that a strong and healthy East Fife can have for our local community.

Sounds like a much better idea to just having the supporters club on our kits tbf.

Will they also be a deal or season tickets to watch the U20s for next season on a friday night? boost some attendance to come along every home game to encourage our brave youth players maybe worth chucking this in on our QandA session whenever the next session is.

  15. It worked before with producing Barr, Rooney, Brown, Sheerin etc so glad Jim and the bOd have brought the idea back in running a youth system..and about time! I was slighty annoyed when lee murray undone all this work in bringing the community toghter because of cuts to the budget back then but wow i am delighted and the progress this football clubs moving at, also tony's liking the idea aswell and everyones on board - great stuff from the media work in all these info too in the last few days Im absolutely buzzing for the season....😍

can i interest you in a guy called Jonathan Page?

AirdrieO was getting a deal when they eventually got Pagey and Kyle in but unfortunately you guy's suffered what we got when we bought a defender in the willie grey days of getting promoted to signing a lad called Paul Nugent who went onto have a great career away from Bayview, but if you want he's always be welcome back you know.

  17. Whatever the tactics are the squad is impressive with quality, experience and depth now lets hope we sign a left back or a left sided defender to complete the defence with some options along the back four to conceed less goals and more clean sheets to the brexter or hart....best news all day thats CW signed the guy's a steven tweed!😍 even though it took me ages to reply but wow 18 players signed and our first game in five days absolutely looking forward to it.

I like the positivity, I agree our squad looks great but the defence needs work. Janny signing on (and being fit) makes a huge difference but we're currently working with a retrofit left back in Pat and a centre half partnership that fell apart towards the latter stages of last season, so let's not get too carried away.

I like your comment, we certainly do need work within the back four and in particular at left back i feel we haven't had one since Penrice slash GN time with the club a position in the team we havent replaced since with us having a natrual Rb Dunsmore whos great at runs forward aswell as defending  and we all know Pat can put in a shift at Lb thats fine over some weeks  i do see him as one of the midfielders and with Sparky left to join forfar this summer as one of those that DY choosed to have at Lb its a position i like to see us fill before the season gets underway and another is a Cb also resigning Janny of course, i feel Janny is the key and we missed him in the latter part of the season just past and is vital when fit he needs to sign on.

As for the other areas i feel we have upgraded the back up keeper, that area became a problem when brett was supended and injured we had to rely on the rookies to step up and cover so im glad we've got a guy thats played a bit in the SPFL leagues with ayr and most recent in the league below with QP. The other is midfield we have to see what the lad Hunters like but Danny is certainly upgrade to Broque who never really got going in his loan spell from Motherwell where as Danny is a proven customer at this level, also the emerge of Taco well i should say bell who keeps coming leaps and bound someone to come off the bench hopefullywe see more of the guy. Finally the strikers we have four just like last season and it works from DY 1st season we had to rely on Duggan but no much action in final 3rd was the problem two seasons ago fast forward to now we have four that are proven goalscorers when fit and i know RC was a big key we missed him in that latter part so having all four experience forwards are the cream stuff hopefully they'll be useful upon when called on.

Scott mention youths well the U20s i like to see a couple of talents maybe call them in and either see them feature on the bench but still turn up for their squads or send them out to see what first team is like and have them thats worth on full time pros just like we did when we had Lennie, Brown, Barr etc on before they got their chance. From that bunch the lad Davidson i hear even though hes a striker looks like hes a talent and has scored a few and we need our own talents aswell as buying others to show the community is a success aswell...its being ages to see any since the reveultion of lee murray scrapped any sort of youths with the club but having some youths around will be encouraging to see and being part of the club direction towards either challenging for L1s top half to the championship.

  19. Tbh we haven't had an actual left backer since James Penrice was brought in onloan and before that was our very own ex-player/manager who both excel great as part of a defence and replacing defenders ie Sparky (only saw him playing on the left side),  kane and linton vital as is to re-sign Janny as either a Rb or a cb for either Higgins or Dunlop. I really dont see the point getting another Rb in if Murdoch can play there i probably think hes got more of chance there than being a centre mid as we have Davidson whos our Kieran Miller of the pervious year.

Delighted the Bod and of course management staff for rectifying we need four strikers like we had last season just finished there having those four is like having options to score more in final 3rd so signing Duggan and Wallace are upgrade to two left recently, in midfield i feel a wide or a winger is needed again upgrade to broque whats Mark Lamont upto now Duggan is here? Erm for defence definitely one or two cbs required and a left back type or left sided needed plus Janny that would ne great to have.

Think the fund page would be another great to raise a bit every year aswell as sponsoring a player via online website.
