I saw DC and Leishman at a football comedy night in Dunfermline a couple of weeks ago. He is enjoying life.

I don’t think he is ready to retire.

The previous problem with dispersing with Greig, may have been that there was no obvious replacement. That is no longer the case, and change should be happening now before we miss out.

That’s the problem they wasn’t a obvious choice and that goes back to when they invited craw in, but feels we are going miss out and we will look back at another hit or miss opportunity at the moment.

  2. I can’t imagine dick calling it quits but to manager us we probably have to part ways with the current management and I doubt we will call it quits there unless things get any worser amongst the people upstairs…if tomorrow game does go ahead then it probably spark that conversation than I’m expressing here. One way aswell they will many clubs that will want dick to be their manager and he’ll have options.

but you have to look at what he did with Arbroath and say it was some achievement.

Anyone know from the accounts the fee we received for Jude Smith ?

No real estimate of what we got remains private from what it says been a five figure fee plus the add ons I’m afraid but someone in ITK will say otherwise than myself. I’m like yourself all clueless surely we haven’t spunked that on bringing fash and Easton in and the player wages since.

  4. I agree with the £18 walk up fee it’s backfired with no success I’m a season ticket holder I’m at a point is it worth renewing it next season with all the points of club being stale and things adding up on and off the park.

    1. poor management we currently sit 7th and sit on another false dawn and short of our aim (play offs)

    2. The recruitment of the playing squad

    3. fans on the board are happy

    4. do I feel I can chuck any more money at the club or even put in a spare fiver towards this ownership with no plan if it will work

    5. we will need a new squad next season I don’t think I can trust McDonald get that right? With him building this squad.

    6. The whole thing of charging £18 over two seasons needs ditching now.

One thing is that it is been a grim season to watch, things need to act quickly or we could join Cowdenbeath, Berwick etc in lowland league and thought of loosing even more supporters as we have had.

it all comes back that we seem “content” but.

The next 2 home games will determine Greigs future.

As I said above can we wait another two games in hope things will change is my point? Hence Clyde will turn it around under experience manager and Elgin just beat Forfar recently needs be considered that it’s not good enough to be “content”.

I like Greg and what he did as player and like him part of Crawford back room staff but end of the day football a result business, can we wait in hope?

I probably come under that category amongst some fans that for wanting that change of dick to be brought in along with his package of coaching staff is a new ideas amongst the coaching team a bit of freshness is needed. But like you said BOD do deserve credit massive amount credit of saving club then but this is now…..

This change might be what's needed.

    AGM tonight.

I think it’s well noticed that a change of coaching staff is needed at the club, but my theory is that the former player most of us want him to be successful when it’s not worked out. Our fans board are very stubborn until it’s too late and this come back to the Stephen frail comment he made “we’re too nice” and we are.

interesting there’s a agm tonight all concerns should be raised regarding the bid of the takeover, what there aim is or actual are, future of the takeover group and their plans before I start pledging any spare fiver to, our performances on the park and the academy/community club latest.

But I sense we’re too “content” with everything and in hope we turn it around on the park aswell.

    Totally agree.

They , Dick and Ian took Arbroath from 2nd bottom on league 2 to near promotion to the premier league- every EF Fan would worship that achievement.

However , the problem is they would need to be left to be in total charge of all football matters. Our Board  are like us fans, love the club . Would our Board give them total freedom that Arbroath seem to give them?-big call I know but we are in a desperate situation

I know most fans would love a dick Campbell as manager of their team, as I said he’s knowledge of lower league football well noticed and the character he is he’ll do well for any p/t side. Whether we show ambition is another thing?

I know the board are all fans of the club and would do anything for the club under the ownership of Rankin associates but I feel we’re too “Content” (I like saying that) that we will not make a decision on Greg. As much I want Greg out I do love Greg as a player and welcomed him back when he got assistant manager job but football results business at the end of the day and it hasn’t worked out for him sadly. If dick got the job you think he would be able get that total freedom like with Forfar, Arbroath etc but our board are fans they are sturbon and aren’t quite minted aswell but given he’s available I dunno what we’re waiting on in hope Greg will be a success and hope things get better.
I also think summer will be crucial given the age of Fleming and trouten 39? do I trust McDonald lead a transition period of building a new team than awarding players new contract and retaining most of squad (abeit from Denham) so I trust that given he’s build his own team this season and failed? No. But like you said big call? It’s upto the club….

As soon as I heard the news he left Arbroath I thought you guys would probably be the most likely destination for him if you sacked McDonald. I say this while wishing he could come back to us instead of course.

You would think we might be I heard he stays not far from the club but it’s weather the club sticks by current manager in hope things will pan out for rest of season which is likely given McDonald a former player but I’m sure most clubs will want a dick Campbell so I think he’ll be back in soon where ever it is. Given us both are in danger of our position in league I think both clubs are quite content given Elgin and Clyde had to make the decision before us.

  9. Jesus weep we played our first team for a kick about along the road in a weekend off no offence when we couldn’t beat Dunbar in a embracing cup exit, not really fussed neither the fife cup in my opinion we should be looking at our current League position, stats and performances competitively while the rest we’re playing today and say we’re not good enough at this point. But that’s the trouble we’ve let this club slide and the board won’t sack a legend or afraid to say it’s time up we need new ideas ideally we need new ideas on and off at the club as a whole but I don’t think anyone knows the answer to. But surely a manager like dick will be well trusted guy within football and knows a lot contacts and probably bring back a spirt to the changing room a bit spark we seem lost. That’s just my opinion.

  10. Good….I would get dick in asap, knows the lower leagues and he’s being aboot’ we need someone in that’s experienced and kick a few not performing that’s what’s needed.

still amazed that the clubs content of not being bottom theory of having not  to sack him then. Times up and that was proved on Tuesday night in Bonnyrigg I’m struggling where we go with the weeks until January window and I doubt the window will change much either.

  11. Well well well…..two steps forward and four steps back it feels like another false dawn similar to Stranraer 4-0 win to go on dreadful run and wasn’t shocked tonight let’s just face it it’s not working…..

3 wins out of 13 is absolutely dreadful stat?

Don’t tell me we’re backing him until January our next two are at home (big games) and with Elgin winning tonight make things tight at the bottom end.

Which Albion cup match was this?

Before the challenge cup - time was up back then but again we won that game just like Stranraer and today. We’ve being well under par from a side that got to the play offs last year and if it wasn’t for the teams below us we would be bottom. But hopefully a win is isn’t false hope again, sorry for being negative but season in whole hasn’t being great looking in. But for us we needed that win so well played.

  13. I like to see us develop this line up and is Brian Easton fit? Was injured last week defeat to Dumbarton.

    fleming in goals

    murdoch page comeford newton

    millar

    shiavone mcmanus

    trouten

    fash shepherd

i like us to drop docherty, Healy, walls. But known us we will revert to a team that beachcomber has gone for.

big game if we don’t win this it’s time for change of management!!!
    It’s simple.

  14. Huge game win this tomorrow if we don’t win this, we should or the board should look at things that it’s not working out and change is needed!

ross Philps away and so is Callum hambrook he’s joined Linlithgow onloan two players needed game time away from here. Like wise what was on the bench isn’t what we need and January can’t come quick but January window difficult window with ‘who’s out there’

  15. 1 hour ago, Beachcomber said:

Yeah, don't think he made a start in a competitive match.

Given we have so many full backs in murdoch, slattery, docherty, newton and even young Murray he wasn’t going to. We need players who’s going contribute something to the cause and fight sadly we don’t have many this season.

  16. What do we do on a Monday and Thursday night at training is beyond me gave away number of balls and when we have possession of the ball we dunno what to do with it that’s been our theme this season and today was a prime example of that.

we mustard only three shots yesterday and Dumbarton could of beat us 4-0 and I’m at the point loosing faith for mcdonald is under statement with every week passing this side is nowhere near last season team that got us to the play offs and should be bin before it’s too late given Elgin changed their manager and Clyde has lost theres.

  17. 2 hours ago, Beachcomber said:

Can't disagree. If he doesn't  resign i don't think our board will have  the bottle to sack him, this might  drag on which imo would  harm his  reputation with the fans.

To me the board are east fife fans and McDonald is also a big fan of the club due to his playing career both are happy with how things are that’s my view.

Our run of results should be enough to say it’s not worked out and it’s time for fresh change to get something out the current team but like Neilly has said why wait until the next bad result my view is we’re not bottom of the league and that everything rosy with him in charge. Like yesterday result was show what do we do on a Monday-Thursday at training the team passing shocking, when we have possession and attacking we simply do not know what to do with it that should also be enough to stay it’s times up.

So when do we  recognise/ declare that we are in crisis ? Do we have to wait until we are actually bottom on the football pyramid - just asking ?

Well given Elgin changed their manager recently and clyde have sacked there’s I would say “aye” given the style shown by this board of that we’re not bottom and who’s available that we can bring in over mcdonald ie we’ve appointed Crawford now mcdonald who’s in our range and out there?

I have lost patience with McDonald already and should of been sacked before the Albion cup match but again whoever comes in we have a squad under par from last season, given we have one loan player from up the road that needs sent back I dunno what we can do other than to survive relegation/trap door at the moment. I doubt January will be upto much aswell this squad needs cleared out in summer and two player hitting 40s in the squad aswell, we need start again but under new management.
