  1. We are still only three points behind Celtic so shouldn't discount the league completely yet. Will need a big improvement but this team has shown it's capable of going on an extended run of wins. If we fall away then we need to ensure 2nd place, which should be achievable despite tonight's result. Would be good to ensure the extra prize money and entry to the 2nd qualifying round in Europe if Celtic win the Scottish Cup. I would agree with giving the youngsters a chance, particularly with our current midfield problems. Smith/Storie/Ross should all be given a chance in coming weeks. In conclusion, bring on the Europa League draw 2016/17.
  2. Let the poor lad post on the top tier forum while he still can.
  3. Tried to start this but don't have enough in my account that I can commit to it. Frustrating when you see great opportunities for money to be won but not having the funds to go through with it. Also means you're not able to go for bets where the exchange is a lot more likely to win. Not sure if its been mentioned but OddsTrawler is a brilliant free tool to use for this. Has links to all free bet offers and shows you the best bets to go for. I'd imagine it's very similar to profit accumulator but it's free for the basic package.
  4. It is easy to forget he is only 20 given the length of time he has been involved in the first team squad. Surprised he hasn't had a loan move yet to be honest, would maybe be good for him going to a lower Premiership/Championship side until the end of the season. Would imagine he will be involved more if we have a similar situation to post-split last season though.
  5. I don't mean we should start him every week but he could easily fill in for Pawlett or McLean for the odd game, he even did well in a wide position against United. Signing McLean has put him 3rd in the pecking order for attacking midfield (and rightly so at this stage). It's just concerning that we might lose a young player with high potential who would probably go on to do very well for another club. In a way it shows how much we've improved on the park when a young player of his quality can't get a look in.
  6. Smith needs a chance to play from the start instead of getting 10 minutes here and there, he's only started 25 games in the 5 seasons he's been in and around the first team. On the first game of the season against United he was brilliant but hasn't been given a proper chance since, even in games like the Hibs cup tie when the team needed freshened up. If you want him to make a significant impact on the game he needs to be on the pitch for 70+ minutes so he can put his stamp on the game.
  7. Noticed Betfair are offering a refund on any losing bets of £20 for new exchange customers. Could be a good incentive to start there.
  8. That's because they're never given any game time to prove themselves.
  9. Don't think McLaughlin has even been at the club for the last couple of months. Two new candidates for AFC's all-time most forgettable XI.
  10. Good point, 5 extra tiers with the away fans in the top one. Should bring us up to about 22,000 in that stand alone so we can just demolish the rest of the stands.
  11. Stadium will hopefully be ready in about three years' team, looking into a permanent training ground, same old story. Whether anything actually happens remains to be seen.
  12. Sky Sports News just claimed that this weekend's tie between Inverness and Celtic will be a repeat of last season's Scottish Cup final.
  13. Someone from Paddy Power has obviously stumbled upon this thread.
  14. Just thought it was surprising compared to the year before where we had two semi-finals and a final or 07/08 where we had 4 UEFA Cup games all close to a sell-out, as well as two semi-finals. However, for some reason I wasn't taking the three Euro games (Riga, Groningen and Sociedad) into account and they would have brought in about £1 million from gate receipts alone.
  15. Amazing that we managed to generate a turnover of that size without an extended European run or a cup final. Great to see the club operating so well off the pitch. Hopefully we get a solution regarding training facilities before too long. Disappointed to see they are persisting with Loirston though.
  16. Apparently we are signing Ryan McLaughlin on loan from Liverpool. 20 year old Northern Irish international right-back.
  17. Definitely wouldn't be guaranteed a start every week ahead of the likes of Jack or McLean. Would be funny as f*ck if we managed to sign him ahead of the buns though.
  18. I used to post quite regularly on mad but these days I have click sign-in, get directed to that daft "pay £20 for no ads" nonsense, type in your user and password, for some reason have to check all my settings are alright (every time) and then finally get taken back to the main forum page, not even the thread I wanted to post in. By this point I've probably already forgotten what I was going to post in the first place. Still read most of the posts but its really not as good as the old days, and the new update is atrocious, you automatically get taken to the first page of a thread and have to navigate each page one at a time. I wouldn't be surprised if it died off completely after this update. Would be a shame given how good it used to be. Chat is full of zoomers and nothing happens on Donstalk. A lot of folk just use Facebook and Twitter these days as well. I would love StandFreeEd to leave the footymad format and create a new independent Ab Mad site with a layout like this one but can't see it happening unfortunately.
