  1. I was at the Locos v Jeanfield game. The first game of fitbaw I’ve seen as a neutral in over 2 years and it was an interesting watch. Jeanfield brought up a really good and vocal support and the added noise of the chuff chuffs made it a very lively afternoon. It had the atmosphere of a cup tie. It was really enjoyable. Jeanfield cruised it. Locos were really really poor. IMO the Highland league is pretty dire, the cup results today sort of prove that. I’ve seen the shire play Huntley and bash them 4-1 and pump the locos 5-0 in the past few years, I think it is certainly high in reputation but low in quality. I don’t think locos managed to string 5 passes together without hoofing it long. Jeanfield played some really good stuff and scored 3 decent goals. Locos missed a penalty at 3-0 but doubt that would have made any difference. I certainly wouldn’t want to draw Jeanfield tomorrow. looking forward to the draw, hoping for a nice easy home tie or a mad away day.
  2. A lot of our games this year are largely forgettable. We have quality but only seem to be able to turn it on for 5/10 mins. Fort William were actually okay, I absolutely love the fact that their team was made up of the rejects that played with Gretna when we scudded them 9-1 a few years ago. But it’s the Scottish Cup and getting through it is all that matters. I would happily have a very winnable home tie next round. We can save the big away days for the 4th round. I wouldn’t turn down an away day at Stenny though haha.
  3. Awwwk East Stirlingshire Soccer Club, yous are such a tease. Actually making me believe that we aren’t a bunch of bottleless shitebags anymore. Back to square one.
  4. i've just about recovered from Saturday and almost in a coherent state to post about the game so here goes. I dont think there was much between the teams in all honestly. Was a pretty cagey game but shire took the lead through a penalty. A fair decision i think. Could count on one hand the amount fo chances in the first half. Connolly made one or two decent saves and the Shire nodded a close range header over the bar and spurned a two on one chance when a ball just had to be placed through and watson would've been one on one. Nothing was really happening in the second half until Dalbeattie were awarded a penalty, i thought it was a definite penalty but the ref waved it away only for the linesman to flag. At that moment i couldnt really see anything other than a draw. Star could've and in all honestly probably should've had another penalty but nothing was given then with ten to go Shire got into the lead. Watson chipped the goalkeeper before being wiped out, the ball bounced off the post and all Healy had to do was tap the ball home. Instead he took a dodgy touch that almost went out of play before sliding the ball home. Pandemonium behind the goals as the celebrations ensued. Connolly then made an outstanding one on one save to keep us in the lead before David Churchill rounded the keeper and scored. I honestly thought it was no where near over but those on the sidelines, including some locals said it was over so i'll take it. The scenes at the end of the game were brillaint. The players were serenaded off the park at the end, not a single shire fan left early and the players deserved every last chant and applause. After two years of watching some overpaid and frankly overrated dross it was good to watch a game with a shire team that really gave a f**k. They're not the best players obviously but there are some talented boys in there and they gave everything they had. Thats all you can ever ask. The only downside of the day was having to listen to those young inbred reprobates behind the goal. Star are a great club, the locals are nice and always very hospitable but listening to the homophobic tirades coming from that group behind the goal was very dissapointing. They're getting to the age now that someone will batter them sooner rather than later and I will not have any pity for them. That was my first Shire game in 22 months. I'm sure its been a tough time for us all but getting back to a game was great. I can't make as many anymore due to work and the cost of my drunken antics but travelling back to Dundee on Saturday night it was impossible not to have anything but sheer pride for my club. Hopefully we can carry the believe from Saturday onto the next few games. Ease Up Shire.
  5. Na fair fucks to them. I'm really chuffed the start they've made. The LL has become boring the past few years with all the money clubs occupying the top spots. This year all the so called favs have been dropping points and it's setting the season up to be a really interesting one.
  6. I've done a BU_Brian and I'm stoked to join the hype train till it runs out of steam in a weeks time
  7. Big Ali Faye scoring a goal in a Civil win against Rangers B is arguably the greatest LL moment of all time
  8. Its a very average Shire team, nothing like the quality of players we've had the past few years so I wouldn't get too carried away. Your other results haven't exactly been eyecatching either. Its probably the worst quality the league has been in a few years and I dont think it'll take much winning. Once EK get their act together they'll stroll it then behind them theres probably about 7-9 teams that could finish anywhere between second and tenth if you discount the B teams
  9. It's so wholesome being in this position. I will happily pass the keys to your good self in a few weeks once you catch your games up
  10. LIke a tree that's standing by the waterside, we shall not be moved.* *For 72 hours before our impending 7-0 defeat to the artists formally known as Rangers B. Breathe it in fellow Lowland League diddys
  11. 6 points behind the might of East Stirlingshire. Please keep up.
  12. Obviously the adverse pitch camber of the BBC
  13. LL admin going to post the table or is he playing cricket again ?
  14. I'm in actual tears reading that post. Theres only one MAC THE KNIFE
  15. The official twitter didn't do a full time round up till very late in the night. He took a huff because he was playing cricket apparently! A past time I occasionally partake in so no jokes there. But cmon to f**k surely as a 'professional' league there's something that can compile the scores to be posted prompt after full times. I don't give a f**k about fancy graphics as long as there's something. The colts were going to increase the publicity obviously
  16. I found it funny that this move was voted through to increase the publicity in the League etc. Yet Saturday night nothing on BBC sport except the shire v gala game being abandoned . It's still baffling that this has been voted through and lets be honest anyone who thinks this will increase the publicity or popularity of the league is a moron
  17. More brain cells have vanished from my cranium. It's quite cute how effected you seem to be by posts from these 'tiny team' supporters
  18. And shout out to Ross Connolly. One of the best signings we've made in recent times. Another clean sheet. I think he may have more clean sheets than games he's conceded in. A different world to the time where we would concede at least a goal a game no matter what diddies we were playing.
  19. A really positive start to the season at a place we've historically always had difficult games at. Getting the game wrapped up early in that heat would've been a big bonus as I heard we just seen the game out in the second half. Only downsides being that we could've been 3-0 up and playing against 9 men for an hour, a chance to really rack up a score, but a couple of stupid sending offs stopped that from happening. At least they'll only miss the Vale game. Wednesday gives us a really good opportunity to pile in the goals again and hopefully be top of the league by 10pm on that night. Our yearly week at the top of the table is arguably my favourite week of the year in my uneventful life and I hope I get to experience that thrill again. I like the look of our squad this season and hopefully we can kick on and have a good year. Not expecting any title challenge but to get in the top four and qualify for the UEFA SPFL Trust Cup would be a solid showing.
  20. Can the b team threads get a sub section like in the premier league to save me from losing brain cells every time I accidentally click on one ?
  21. Livescore has covered the HL and LL for the past few years but only a couple games are updated during the game. Most are results only. Bet365 tend to do one or two HL and LL games a week and offer in play on them so you can follow the games to some extent on that, updates stats etc.
  22. Would also like to make a poignant post. Its been a long time since any of us have been at a game and I'm sure all of our lives have been forever changed by covid. When we stand at kick off on Saturday or whenever we first get our injection of hoof baw shithousery I'd hope that we all take a moment to reflect and think of those that we have lost over this terrible time. LeoMessi, Jerry Maguire, Tutenkamum, Bob FTP Malcolm and of course his Lord and Saviour BU Brian to name but a few. The LL will not be the same with you. God bless you all.
