The Ingolfson character obviously does well to scour the internet. There have only been 1 or 2 that he's got hold off before the Sun or the Record but its still names being mentioned online. The Ramirez one was good but it was on afc chat and here long before.
I think we need Devlin, another centre half (ideally a first pick - loan from england?), a third striker (preferably with a lot of pace to be a different option) and a first choice winger (again preferably with pace)
I think being at home first in this round is better as we'll be fitter in the second leg.
A crowd in pittodrie should help us along too. Not too worried yet but we would like to see us sign a striker and centre back in the next two weeks and then a winger before the deadline.
Taylor will be a very decent no nonsense defender in that league. Can contribute a few goals too. I'm actually surprised he's not managed to get League One
Of course ideally it would be someone much better. The club are maybe not thinking like this but I think JET will pick up a lot of minutes deeper than striker (he was so effective doing that for Livvie) hence regardless of injuries a third striker will get minutes.
Admittedly it's hard to persuade someone to sign up for being a sub but getting on 2 matches out of 3
We do need a striker we currently have JET, Ramirez, McGinn and Ruth.
If JET or Ramirez are out injured for a prolonged period we are looking very very short of options to change it up.
Third striker will be involved in the majority of matches this season
It would be a season loan swap that I was meaning. So dont get to keep the player. The trade of us giving Kennedy for free being if he finds his mojo he's back or sold on.
Edit to say they are playing hardball on paying a fee for Hendry hence the stand off so far. A season loan, freeing him (might get you some of your £100k you want) or a loan swap could work.
Yes, I could see a swap loan being on the table to avoid the Dons paying a fee. Players like Kennedy, McLennan, Ojo, McGeouch, Virtanen and any of the youngsters
Aye Cove which was obviously cancelled, then Caley, then St Johnstone and Reading on the same day. All at Cormack Park so they said.
It does not feel like sufficient prep for Hacken but I guess the Ross County outbreak adds weight to the argument to take no risks and control the environment
It'll be interesting to see if Glass avoids more injuries than McInnes. There was always speculation that McInnes only had the training at a decent intensity on a Friday morning and otherwise they were just dossing about. I won't claim to know anything about sports science but it would be a sensible guess to say that would cause muscle injuries to be more likely than training at the same intensity all week.
If any of these st johnstone players can get a gig in the epl or championship then its a no brainer to go for it. I'd only be picking an Aberdeen or Hibs if it was versus League One and League Two clubs
St Johnstone signing a defender yesterday and linked with another today so it does sound like some of the defenders will be off.
I would have thought Kerr would be the first to go.
The lad has come from the 7th tier in England? Sounds like we've had worse signings and we could have just taken him as a backup player.
Yes, I'm sure they'll be at each others games when the kick off times dont clash.
We are aspiring to be up challenging and hence being greedy for a few more signings but if one of the strikers comes ok and scores even 15 we'll be in line with the last several years.
Two strikers in double figures would be heady days back at 2016/17 heights.
