  1. Why on earth would Sinn Fein want to see the restoration of a fully functional assembly at Stormont?? O’Dowd trots out the usual stock excuses but no-one seriously believes that they want to see Stormont back up and running. As for championing ‘people’s rights’, really?
  2. Apologies missed this, he had a decent game against Coleraine at home a few weeks back and contributions in the back to back games against Ballymena recently.
  3. Vast swathes of their core vote aren’t though. Corbyn could never win Middle England either now. A Labour/SNP pact isn’t even a remote possibility. A general election won’t solve anything on Brexit but a further frustrating delay to most punters.
  4. Superb! Gets Dundee mixed up with Dumfries though but isn’t picked up on it. ‘The Owl sanctuary’ and the ‘Hair Cut for an Egg sandwich’ at the 82 World Cup are equally funny as f*ck on WILTY.
  5. Ain’t a fan of Blackford who is usually just another insufferable windbag when he gets this gig. Thought he was calm and measured last night however and spoke more sense than the rest of the panel put together (no disrespect to the European Law expert, to his left). Beginning to agree more and more that audience is rigged though and that Fiona Bruce after a decent start is getting dragged into presenting some sort of freak-games show.
  6. DUP saying that they will take time to review (no immediate dismissal of the ‘legally binding’ changes’) is that a positive sign!?
  7. We were never going to get anywhere near them this season Kinc. The signs are there in short bursts when sometimes we look pretty decent on the ball but still woefully naive and fragile at times. Feel certain that SG will see this project out though. It’s clear more than ever that we need to start again in building a defence that can truly work together, then have another go.
  8. It’s only anecdotal evidence, but from a No voters perspective there seems to be a much more sympathetic view on independence (within my own work and social circles) since the vote to leave the EU and how things have been handled since at WM. That Scotland will be dragged out against its wishes is very much a ‘change in circumstances’ that will only weaken the Unionist resolve for me. I’m not saying that they would all just switch to YES in a second Ref tomorrow, but an appreciation of the Independence viewpoint certainly seems to be growing in my experience. Travelling south with work it’s clear with most Brexit supporters (that I’ve recently had a short exchange with), that the future of Scotland plays no part in their considerations whatsoever.
  9. Jaffa B*stards!! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  10. Deep down you know it will though, it’s the thing that absolutely petrifies the P&B hordes the most.
  11. In that case, I’m sure you’ll be amongst the first to congratulate us when we do eh?[emoji6]
  12. Hardly comparable, they were close to the wire, but didn’t suffer the ignominy of actually going bust, weren’t liquidated, dropped into the bottom tier or lose almost their *entire squad. (*which in itself perhaps makes our current resurgence as a Football Club even more remarkable)
  13. Just a quiet nod of acceptance will suffice. Cheers Rab [emoji6]
  14. The league competition is a procession and will remain as such until the Gers get their house in order, we both know it. Clearly the sooner the better though eh!?
  15. Aye, their resuscitation all the more remarkable eh!? [emoji47]
  16. To be fair, I did say most neutral observers. I think that probably excludes you my friend.
  17. So more than four then!!? And here’s me thinking I was trying to be just and reasonable. But fair enough I’ll take your word for it, last two have also been worthless! Let’s be honest though, like it or not, a real challenge to their ‘dominance’ isn’t going to happen until Rangers are truly back on their feet. Most punters without an axe to grind would acknowledge that.
  18. Aye, but only tuned in to hear what very important stuff Barry Gardiner has to say!
  19. With most neutral observers recognising that at LEAST four of them are pretty much worthless.
  20. Sadly that’s true Kinc, but anyone but that wee scrote with all the shite that comes with him eh? What could possibly be worse as an appointment, Leigh Griffiths as player-manager perhaps!?[emoji47] The above comparison with Jock Wallace is hardly valid. Wallace resigned/walked out on his post, he certainly wasn’t ‘poached’ with an agreed compensation deal from Filbert Street.
