  1. Magnificent pictures, boghead was a beautiful football arena. May have been a dump but it was our dump!
  2. I don't think anyone on here has disrespected Aitken. Yes we have came out and stated our wishes for a change but it's not happened. We have 6months of the season left. It's time to see if the players can react to tuesdays result starting with Saturday against Hibs! I dont think even if he keeps us up he will stay on. Hopefully the signings, if any, made in January will be specialised players and not utility ones which seemed to be the plan at the start of the season which clearly hasn't worked.
  3. Looks like January could be massive for us. The squad undoubtably needs a refresh. If we can get shot of brown, Stevo, pettigrew and use that cash for 3/4 players who may make a difference then all may not be doomed. Only issue is we may be battling st Mirren, Dunfermline and Ayr for the same players! Do we have any loan spaces left? Also, on the subject of bringing back Nade. He prob won't come cheap. I love the guy for what he done for us last year but is he past it? His injury record isn't exactly great. But on saying that, we enjoy lumping balls up front, no one can get the ball from the big man!
  4. Sad as it may be to most/all of us realistically we always knew this was going to be the outcome. Would the penny pinching board really try to pay off a guy that has only 6months remaining on his contract. Taking the cheap easy way out as always! On the plus side, I always enjoyed a trip to east fife and Stranraer.........
  5. Fair enough and it's an opinion. As I said I don't have twitter or Facebook so not seen what his account contains. If it is purely personal then fair enough, maybe leave it out. However surely then he can make it private or whatever then the masses of irritated fans can't get to him on there! I do not agree with fans asking for his head or sending him abuse on social media. I was merely saying that civilised questions etc weren't out of order. If Stevie does the honourable thing and resigns or happens to be sacked, then yes I will be delighted however I will also thank him for his hard work and wish him all the best for the future. Watch this space......we will probably go and beat Hibs this weekend. Would just be like us to throw a random result in the mix! I won't hold my breath tho!
  6. I have to disagree slightly here. Fans want answers and they feel that may be the way to get them. Yes it's a personal account but by having social media he's leaving himself open. Personally I don't have a twitter or Facebook etc however as long as the comments don't border on abuse then I don't see the issue. At least he may see the opinion of us fans!
  7. I blame SO8...... He did call it when he said he was writing for the Lennox tonight....... Maybe our anger is misdirected [emoji12]
  8. I'm sorry but that result is embarrassing! I stuck up for Stevie in the past when he got pelters, I have also been very critical recently but tonight has to be the point of no return. For anyone anywhere to think that is acceptable needs to have a long hard look at themselves. Stevie needs to either go or produce some sort of magic otherwise we are down. Yes we won against QOS but arguably that was because they were worse than us and couldn't finish! St Mirren even beat them tonight which makes it an even worse night for us! Step aside mr aitken, your time here is finished
  9. That is a bit shit...... I know they can do what they like with their players but I think the rule should be either they can all play or they all can't! Stuff this picking and choosing nonsense!
  10. I'm sure they would manage to manipulate it somehow
  11. Hibs at home if we beat bonnyrigg? What a meh draw! Let's do the decent thing at let the juniors go a run
  12. Don't say that! That will be in the next 'we must build a new stadium' presentation by mr Wilson!
  13. Murray won't be back, much more likely to end up at a QOTS, Raith etc. He isn't the only manager to have a disaster at st Mirren so maybe won't hit his stock too much. On the subject of mccallum, I totally agree, he should've been punted on loan to a junior team to toughen him up! Proper big lads play at that level with the instruction of 'if it moves kick it', would have done him the world of good rather than sitting on our bench for 3years. Likely to be released at end of the season and another youngster lost to the game.
  14. How can we not set up to attack a junior side? Ok, we can accept setting up defensively to an extent against hibs, Dundee Utd etc, but Bonnyrigg? Really? Ffs Stevie, do the honourable thing!
  15. I agree, however I feel that we may get pushed before we jump in this instance and the move has already been agreed before us fans even get our gripes in! Hopefully I'm wrong
  16. Why would we need 4000 seats anyway? Surely around 1000 seats and the rest terraced would suffice for a club like ours? Also I worry about any potential groundshare as bankies alive mentioned? What are the plans regarding this? I sure as hell don't want to groundshare with Morton/st Mirren or anyone else
  17. Would it be totally surprising if big Ian pulled a sickie tomorrow??
  18. 1. Branco = money grabbing c***s That about sums up my understanding
  19. Your lilo??? I'd be more worried about your wife......#stud
  20. BBC doing their cost of football survey again! An interesting graphic
  21. For all the new stadium proposals are a worry for all at DFC. I can't help but think becoming a community club with the facilities available for use within the community such as the pitch etc could be the way forward for some much needed revenue. As all of us that are involved in youth/amateur football will testify, the cost of hiring these pitches is astronomical and there isn't enough to go around. If DFC can provide one that is available to rent whenever the 1st team aren't using it to train and we can take in a few grand per week then that's more money to the clubs coffers!
  22. Ok so we can't afford to sack Stevie. Worst case scenario that we all fear is relegation. If we go down we all know the financial implications, I would assume not many of the current squad would sign up for next season if they get offers elsewhere. (Maybe mccallum would get game time and come good tho!) We are already competing and in some ways struggling to compete with teams in league 1 for players. Stranraer, livi, airdrie, Peterhead and Alloa all arguably pay more than us, if we went down it may be a while before we came back up!
  23. Because we are the only club in Scotland that would put up with the recent results and performances, if he was at any other club he would be gone by now, probably long ago! Yea we're in 8th and that's the goal come the end of the season. However, we are garbage, and we show no sign of improving. St Mirren will invest in January and will likely be confident of finishing 8th or above. Dunfermline we need to hope continue to be shite and we can stay above them, however they seem to have the measure of us and the next 2 games against them will be must wins! How much are we actually paying Stevie? He's only contracted until the end of the season, that's 7 months away, that's not going to be a huge amount to pay off surely? I mean we want to build a new stadium so we must be minted..........
  24. whether we have funds or not is irrelevant. If the results aren't there then neither should the manager be. Most of us are sick and tired of the same crap week in week out. There is no way we will get a meet the manager at the minute seeing as most of us want him gone. Is there anyone that still has faith in Stevie?
