He was playing for pollok amateurs last season apparently. I would be really surprised if we signed 5 players. I agree that we need about 5 but with Aitken being adamant for weeks that we are going to run with 16/17 I can't see 5 coming in. Also doesn't give new players long to bed in with new teammates before opener on Saturday! So even with new faces I would assume Saturday's starting line up is going to be much the same as we've seen so far

A lot of people are saying the players (or some of them) don't look interested. This comes around by us having a small squad and players are guaranteed a start, a bit of competition wouldn't go amiss. Im not particularly worried as yet, this league cup competition/set up is more of an inconvenience for clubs like us, so treating it like pre-season is perfectly fine in my opinion. Let Stevie finish his business and bring is a few more and we will see where we are when we take on Dunfermline. Couple of young up and coming loanees would do nicely

Some people really are getting all up tight about us signing a guy who clearly just wants to play football. Whether we have paid (we havnt) or he himself, or his agents, or another 3rd party have paid his compensation or we have signed him on an amateur deal then it doesn't really matter. What I'm sure about is that DFC havnt done anything wrong and I hope he scores a barrowload for us and gets us to at least 8th place

Surely the ability to play trialists in a cup competition sort of makes a mockery of it. If someone was to play for us as a trialist then go sign for someone else and play for them in the same competition against us, it would be a bit wrong? You couldn't exactly cup-tie a trialist?

Morton will be feeling the squeeze as well. Last year they had 4 guaranteed full houses in a much bigger stadium than ours, this year they are only guaranteed 2 (st Mirren) everyone wants a striker that can score and at the minute it looks like we have one.....well a handsome one at least. Let's not chat like we're down just yet. Seems like some of the ppl that were slating Stevie from January last year have just continued into this year.

Everyone has an opinion I personally don't think anyone should be shot down until given a chance to prove himself, he's training with us, will probably play a few games as a trialist, won't be good enough and will go back to the bankies. Won't cost us anything and won't harm anyone. If he does turn out to score a few and impress aitken well good on him, he will have put in some effort to do so, unlike some we could mention that got signed anyway, Wilson, Miller, smith....etc etc

If kasubandi does come in, and that's a big if, and scores 10 goals as an impact sub then I would say that's a fair return. He wouldn't command a high wage so not too big a gamble. What if he scores 4 in the next 3 pre-season games? Still writing him off?

I like both actually, probably will buy them. Away top is different but good
