  1. Less attention to the fancy stacking and more attention to the keyboard required [emoji106]
  2. And it wasn’t even New Years Day ..... [emoji106]
  3. From the OS statement, can anyone explain to me as a punter who paid a £10 deposit for a season ticket if I owe £185 or £175 ? Not clear. Nobody at stadium to answer my query.
  4. If anyone was thinking of nipping down to the stadium to pay for your season ticket, I’d give it a bye. The advertised opening hours do not apply today apparently.
  5. Excellent. Where is this advertised please ? Many a tight landlord may need convincing [emoji23]
  6. Discs will take on the slightest of warps usually after medium to heavy braking that causes a build up of heat between the pad and the disc. After the aforementioned braking, if the driver keeps their foot on the brake whilst stationary, the heat can’t naturally dissipate and it will “cook” causing the disc to be very slightly misshapen. As you say, it’s not an every day problem but can manifest this way especially if the discs are old, pitted or of poor quality. However it happened, it sounds for all the world to be classic warped discs. The wobble felt through the steering wheel will be much more “violent” than that felt due to an unbalanced road wheel.
  7. I believe the two gentleman devoid of eyes sporting the Dumbarton kits, are from the Joma design team. Airdrie and Umbro are the easy winners.
  8. Nice, simple traditional kit by Umbro. Especially like the Scotland 78 socks [emoji106]
  9. Bock is a lovely, crisp lager. Supping it outside a nice wee Portuguese bar by the sea enhances the taste IMO.
  10. Order 236 went through ok on iPhone [emoji106]
  11. That is my favourite version of what is an iconic strip in Scottish football. Instantly recognisable as ours in the same way as Airdrie’s white shirt and red diamond is iconic and instantly recognisable.
  12. I don’t feel bad. I bought the Dunnottar top for sentimental reasons. I don’t like what’s on offer from Joma. Yellow is not one of our club colours even though the club seems to think it is. However, I have pledged to buy a season ticket even though I’m only likely to use it a handful of times throughout the season. It’s my way of supporting the club in extraordinary times [emoji106]
  13. Paul at Dunnottar is brand new. He’s going to send me a wee iron on logo. He told me that he’d noticed some had previously arrived with the logo on the top and some not, including mine. Dunnottar don’t ask for a logo to be attached. He told me that although Dunnottar don’t specify having a logo, they will add logos if specifically requested. Excellent service. Ps, he said they will be adding more Sons tops to the site soon.
  14. Mine arrived today. Excellent, really excellent replica of my favourite top ever. It is our proper colours of black and gold. No yellow pish masquerading as gold. I notice you have the black Umbro logo on the chest. As mine didn’t arrive with this on it, I’m thinking yours didn’t either. To complete the authentic look, did you buy a wee iron on Umbro logo ? If so, can you tell me where you got it please ? E bay only offering up red or white ones at a quick glance. First world problems eh ? Cheers.
  15. That is a perfectly balanced and well thought out statement from the club. Well done.
  16. On a more serious note, as a Southern based Son, I’m not a season ticket holder but by the grace of God, I’m in a position to pay for a season ticket that I wouldn’t use to help the club out. However, we and the club, need to be mindful of those whose financial planning has taken a huge hit in these difficult times and need to consider their priorities. A difficult set of options for the club by having to ask fans to part with hard earned with no guarantee of seeing the team play this year. Let’s just hope the club survives.
  17. Aye, got one ordered as it looked a quality replica. It’ll never get over my fat gut but it’s something to aim to squeeze into. It’s quite something when an Internet copy can replicate the club colours while the club itself accepts this effort from Joma and continues to slap yellow paint on the walls. Even the letters on the back of the stand at Boghead were gold, ffs. Again, minor point but my shit remains gripped by it [emoji23] Take it easy.
  18. Dear DFC, the new home kit is yellow and black , not black and gold. Such a minor thing but it grips my shit. Hope fellow Sons are keeping safe and well [emoji106]
  19. So Sturgeon reacted as soon as she saw the Italian story unfold ? She has followed Westminster until it was safe to announce what she is privy to later on in the lockdown but trying to score cheap political points whilst doing so.
  20. Presto, Boghead, black n gold strips Morrisons, where we are now and yellow everywhere, stadium, programme, strips, it's become the norm and I can't stand it. However, like you, the team can wear what they like as long as we have a club.
  21. Up to yourself but be wary that when the PCP company take it back, they expect any body repairs to be of a very high standard. Worst case scenario is that you pay for a cheap repair and then get charged by PCP mob for them to redo the repair and they will not be cheap. How about a local Smart repair guy ? Maybe a bit more expensive but should be a good job especially on plastic.
  22. If per chance, the wrong battery is fitted, the stop start function won't be working. If your stop / start is working, then the correct battery is probably fitted but the dying starter is still a possibility. If not the right battery, you should suggest to the dealer that any competent tech would have / should have noticed. All the best with it.
  23. Could be that a less than fully healthy battery is slowly killing the starter motor. A slowly dying starter motor will show the same symptoms as a dying battery. One thing to consider but it may not apply in your case is that when people replace a battery in a car with stop/start technology, they go for the cheaper battery when choosing an online replacement as opposed to the sometimes double the price, high voltage stop/start capable one. After fitting, the stop start no longer works but they shrug their shoulders and carry on with life. The cheaper battery will then slowly kill the starter as the starter will try to stop/start but the lower voltage, cheaper battery prevents it. Soon afterwards, the starter dies and people blame the new battery. Being a newish car, it's possible that the original factory fitted battery has been changed by a previous owner. Have a wee look at the fitted battery and compare its voltage markings to that of a stop/start capable battery. Could be nothing to do with your problem, but worthy of mention in the circumstances you've described. Good luck [emoji106]
  24. I agree with all your comments. A fear I have, and I imagine is shared by a number of fellow Sons, is the unique Catch42 our club set up puts us in. I, like so many others have donated what I can to help keep the club afloat but if football is not to return for many months then the club may go to the wall and all our hard earned, and well meaning financial support runs the real risk of being gobbled up by creditors. I know it’s a complicated set up down there, so any better informed comments are welcome. Take good care everyone
  25. Time for wee Sturgeon to show some leadership now. I know it's a far cry from her usual leadership which only consists of slagging off Westminster and demanding independence. Time to make one of the difficult decisions that real leaders make. Her trusted adviser can no longer be trusted and should go. Now. Get up to your lectern Nicola, drape a Saltire round your shoulders, get Blackwood to strut about in his kilt, get your wee pal from Renfrew to bring one of her colourful, dress up like a woman friends along. Do what you want, but get it done. Calderwood needs to resign or be sacked. Her own selfish actions have stripped her of any credibility and any leader who stands by her and her, at best, appalling lack of judgement needs to go to. We're all watching Nicola.
