How did Shankland last the 90, booked in the first half, jumped on top of a Celtic player for a clear booking in the second and then a blatant handball (from what I’ve heard) in the box at the end.

Clark had some great saves to keep it from being a pumping.

His booking was an absolute joke

They have had incidents overturned or turned in the other teams favour due to VAR that they would never have normally suffered. They hate it because it stops them getting as many things in their favour. Brendan Rodgers in particular hates that his team do not get as many favours as they used to. I much prefer what happens now compared to:

Four players sent off at Ibrox mostly for f**k all

Andy Webster told he must have elbowed himself in the eye, not John Hartson

Dougie MacDonald sending off Webster and McCann at Rugby Park and Hartley in the 2006 cup final

Andy Davis awarding Kyriakos a penalty for diving

    Barry Ferguson playing basketball

Ian Brines sending off Fyssas for a dive by Maloney in a New Year’s Day game vs Celtic

Allan McGregor kung-fu kicking Callum Elliot in the stomach

Kenny Miller effectively ending Kevin McHattie’s career at a decent level with a knee high challenge at the touchline

No thanks, I prefer when incompetence and bias are exposed and the officials made to look incompetent for their cowardice.

I particularly enjoyed the nationwide ridicule when Dermot Gallagher reviewed the incident where the Motherwell player kicked Boyce in the chest and he booked him for diving. The two studio guests and him on SKY pissing themselves laughing at the referee. The more exposure these p***ks get the better

This post is pish man, and if you want a reason, I'll give it to you.

You list a bundle of questionable decisions (none for us tbf, cause that's never happened and certainly at least two on your list were actually correct) where you are positing that VAR would have swept in to overturn them, then correctly point out a ridiculous decision from this season which didn't get overturned.  Do you not see the problem there?

If there's bias and corruption - there isn't, it's just bad decisions - VAR would be a tool to further it, not end it.

This quote from a Hearts fan on the BBC website this morning. Eleven points ahead of fouth with fifteen points to play for. Fitba fans, eh?

Chris: This game highlights the mentality needed to compete at the top level; we just don’t have it. We have no real spark, Shankland is blowing cold and if anyone thinks third place in the league is a gimme then watch this space. It’s going to be a nervy run in.

    Wowzers.  What an idiot

Why do they need to know the result of tomorrow’s game to ensure the don’t make the OF game a decider? Why not just make it the first game after the split?

Sky want it on a specific date and they're waiting to see if it them becomes a potential title decider.

Tbh they shoukd just schedule it last day and leave the issues to the police, it's hardly unpolicable, the do cup finals which are logistically much worse regularly

  5. How's this thread become about Shankland when he was one of the few who played ok when he came on.  3 of the back 4 had absolute shockers and we looked absolutely devoid of ideas from the start in how to break them down.

Ferguson and Tierney were decent, but it was very poor all round

  6. Souttar on the right, fine.  Left side of a 3, absolutely not.  Especially as it completely negates his passing as we saw last night.

I'd blame others far more for the goals we lost than Souttar though, no idea what Porteous is up to at the 2nd and he's poor at the 4th.  He was good up till then right enough

Holland are nowhere near a top tier national side. If they can beat us 4-0, the likes of Hungary will be fancying their chances of doing the same.

They're 6th in the world, got to the WC QF, nations league semi and have much better players than Hungary.

I doubt we'll sub half our defence to experiment in the euros

Couldn't score, shipped four. For much of the match, the radio commentary gushed as if we were winning. It especially went to pieces after the subs.

It could be same old same old in June.

For much of the match we were the better team and created a lot of great chances.

Very poor last 20 minutes obviously

  9. As shite as Souttar was when he came on (very), i think putting him in on the left of a back 3 was a very poor decision when Cooper is on the bench.  Could have brought him on for Porteous if you're wanting to give him a run

The subs all made us worse but the last 3 goals were just all catalogues of errors.

Shankland played fine but he's got to put that chance away and he'll have nightmares about it.

Hickey being fit feels massive for the summer
