The difference between signing him at 18 and say, Smith, is that we will need to pay him a wage that will tempt him to move north.
Part time football in English 9th tier or full time in Scotland with live TV and a chance to put himself in the shop window. No brainer I’d say

On the trialist Archer. 18 year old winger from English 8th tier who scored 15 goals last season. That is exactly the type of player we should be taking a punt on

I honestly struggle to justify how these players go and play in a country like Saudi Arabia even when the money is that much when their football is like a farmers league compared to Britain/Europe.
You can have all the money in the world but what satisfication you going to get playing out there instead of among the best clubs in the world in Europe?
The Saudi league is now much stronger than the Scottish league, especially with all the top European players going for the mega bucks.

If ICT do sign McKay and Lafferty that potentially is a very potent strike force at this level

From what I heard today a lot of the personal terms are done but all that needs ironed out is the actual fee. Doubt Akinyemi will be there tomorrow tbh.
Usually the fee is agreed before personal terms

Looks like Dipo to Gillingham could be done pretty soon.
Any idea how much?

That’s McMullan signed for Derry City so another potential top signing is not arriving down Somerset way

I think Smith is 28 so no spring chicken . Also Raith have signed a decent right back in Watson , so his Fife options have diminished a bit . so maybe .....
Dunfermline I would suspect

Partick will be looking for a 6 figure transfer fee for both those players.
Yes that’s never going to happen. It’s a bit like Thistle trying to sign Dipo.

So.. O'Connor out, Murphy in. Are we happy...or raging?
Should be an improvement but I think it’s more Mullin out Murphy in. Jury is still out on that one

I hope I’m wrong but from what I’ve read from fans of their previous clubs, neither of these guys fill me with confidence that they will be a major success for us.

Good luck to Dare. I still think there is a footballer in him but we didn’t see it enough.

Mutch has given up a full time job to move down from Aberdeenshire so he won't be on peanuts.
If so maybe that suggests that Albison might be sold then

I suspect contract length was a convenient excuse for all parties wrt. Mullin. My guess is that wages were the main stumbling point. Especially given the rigmarole we went through in January with Livi.
Are you really suggesting that Murphy will be on less than Mullen?

We’ve effectively given him what we likely offered Mullin so I’ve no qualms with that.
Tbh I think I’d rather have signed Mullen. We kind of knew what we were getting but Murphy is a real gamble

Who in recent memory comes even close to what Moffat has been to Ayr? Only one off the top of my head is Martyn Campbell thou I feel that is just due to longevity and the fact that if he was so crooked no one would take him

He played for 45 minutes on Saturday against Stranraer so I’d expect him to play tonight for a similar amount of time
