  1. Somehow, them shiting the bed in WCQ then the UNL all makes sense.
  2. All UEFA officials have to speak English. Just like airline pilots and air traffic control.
  3. > How far back you go When the last ‘attacking phase of play’ (APP) started. A button is pressed in the VAR booth every time a new APP begins. When a goal is scored, the video is only checked up to the point the button was last pressed. Still subjective to some extent, but it’s a bit like a hazard perception test when learning to drive. Practice it for a while and most fans/players would agree when the last ‘attack’ effectively began.
  4. Lazy boy was wide enough for me. Might have been an issue with the boy hit with the ball
  5. Would a real disinterested neutral say this had 0-0 written all over it? Norway are guff, but Spain look toothless up front.
  6. ‘Deliberate play’ needs to consider body position, distance from the ball when it was played, direction the player is facing, their opportunity to control the ball, is the ball in the air, was it expected etc. Pretty much nailed on not ‘deliberate’ according to the current definition.
  7. I swear he’s been part of the conversations literally this week on the subjective elements of offside. The man cannot be saved.
  8. Strandberg’s touch doesn’t count as deliberate since they changed Law 11 June 2022. Should have left it ffs.
  9. What a moron. Morata was offside when the ball was played
  10. Yup. Qualify tonight, and two very winnable games to finish the campaign on a high. Imagine winning 7/8 games, and having the 8th away in Spain taken away by a whisker of an offside VAR intervention. If Spain win tonight, we could easily finish the group 11 points clear of Norway. It feels on a tightrope right now, but this could be even clearer than how the WCQ group was with Israel in the end.
  11. I don’t see many changes being made. You don’t arrange friendlies to ‘test yourselves’ and then change the team wholesale. We could quite easily be beaten irrespective of what we do, but protecting what momentum we can, and continuing to grow the side is the priority. If capping a goalkeeper was the priority, we’d be playing Lithuania/Bulgaria/Estonia/whoever. Perhaps a start for Ferguson, and/or more minutes for a couple of subs that aren’t just the normal swaps (Armstrong/McLean/Adams etc) might be possible.
  12. Looks like he had another brilliant performance for the u21s.
  13. If Spain do the business on Sunday, I think everyone would enjoy the challenge of the last two games. When we've needed certain results we've managed it in the last few occasions. Getting rid of the Georgia memories, and then a packed out Hampden to send us off against Norway is just the stuff dreams are made of. Even better if Sunday is just a draw, then we'd be playing to win the group.
  14. Seedings are based entirely on Qualification performance. Albania’s results have been quite frankly astonishing so far. They beat the Czechs 3-0 last night.
