  1. Saw your video on Twitter this morning, that's another season where you've had a cracking shirt IMHO.
  2. Sad news, he was suppose to be one of the guest speakers at Ross McGeachie's Testimonial Dinner 2 weeks ago but pulled out through ill health. The rumours going around that night weren't good and this would seem to confirm them as true...although it might be simply that the audience is getting larger. Gave me my happiest moments of following the national side (until recently) and will always be a legend in my eyes.
  3. Ok, made a mistake with Alloa some how, these things happen but according to their own website, a Main Stand Falkirk Season Ticket is £296 or £356 so “way higher”
  4. I'm glad the club have now come out with the prices and the info. I've already got the money for mine set aside but it's handy to know so I can use money elsewhere. Well done to the board, I think the prices are good when you consider what other clubs are charging. A quick google search showed that Annan's were just slightly cheaper (£225) Falkirk were way higher, and Montose and Alloa were just slightly more expensive, so no complaints from me. It always make me happy to see the club stick with the 12's and under go free policy, well done!
  5. Morning everyone, For some reason, since the update, when I go onto a Forum (say the League 1 forum) and then click on the topic to read or contribute to, when I try and return to that forum, I'm instantly returned to the topics list every time., so have to click the League 1 forum option again. This has been the case on my iPhone and 2 laptops, is anyone else having this problem?
  6. Couldn’t agree more, a lot of genuine fans were asking if Champions merch was being ordered back in……we’ve heard nothing. The League 2 trophy is being passed around businesses and youth teams like a used scud mag (nothing wrong with that, all for it) but fans that couldn’t make the Sunday….will we have an opportunity?? Just feel flat after the huge success last season and the total lack of info takes the wind out of the sails a little.
  7. There’s a blast from that past that makes us Stirling fans shudder. Disaster of a footballer with an inflated ego
  8. Can’t believe the players are back in for pre-season training and nothing (other than they will be digital) has been said about season tickets going on sale or even how much they’ll be. Staggering. This time of year, all supporters want to know is who is coming in and leaving, how much season tickets will cost and what kits will be worn, so far we are in the dark about the last 2. With the Away strip being 2 years old and being macron, I would be expecting that to change
  9. It’s ok @unitedbino, you’ve not missed much mate
  10. Oh that's interesting. I have occasionally ordered their Mixed Ales & IPA packs that they do and they are nice beers. Could be interested in this when we meet
  11. Dare I say it, but possibly the best, if not one of the best, Part Time Goalkeeper's about? Every time I seen him play for Albion Rovers, Cowdenbeath and Falkirk, I thought he always did well and would have been a Championship keeper by now. Roberts was with us for 2 seasons and I've got to say, I was never that sold on him. He wasn't a bad player but more times than not, I supply found him to be ok. I was stunned that he managed to get a step up a League with Clyde. The Clyde fans on their thread seemed to indicate that he was a player they would like to have kept, after a strong end to the season, but assuming the aim is for you to finish in a Play Off spot, I'm surprised you have gone for him, but best of luck to the lad, wish him well.....except when it comes to the obvious.
  12. Someone I sit near knows him, he's either originally from or lives in Grangemouth. A few years ago he described him as Blair Hendersonesk....having watching him a few times for Peterhed and Dumbarton, I can see exactly what he meant by that, and it's not a complement.
  13. Didn't realise it was him but sadly I do remember that game
  14. Lewis Milne of Montrose just announced a our 3rd signing of the season. Remember him more as a youngster but him being a creative player. Could create that spark that we need.

    Broomhill

To be fair, I think his spell at Elgin has been his only real successful period over recent years. At Stirling Albion, and going by reports on here East Fife, he came across as very disinterested and there have been reports of him being a disruptive character behind the scenes. The Rabin Omar that we saw at Elgin would be an asset to any team in the LL and L2 however, does he still have that in him, I suppose time will tell and Broomhill and Swift might just be the place that see it.
  16. Wonder if injuries have hampered him a bit? Absolute baller that I would love to have back but expect him to rock up at a QoS or Cove type club.
  17. Myles is currently GK Coach at Berwick I believe, still lives in the Falkirk area though. Nicky looked a fine Goalkeeper when he came to us on a brief loan a few seasons back, no doubt that’ll be a cracking signing for Falkirk.
  18. Would just like to second this. Really enjoyable evening....although I do think Jimmy Nicholl was toning it down a bit for the audience, I have to say haha. Think it's fair to say that if anybody deserves this then it's Ross, a very humble guy with a huge heart.
  19. It's actually surprising how many Ex-Pro's work offshore. I did a bit of oil & gas work in my last job and stumbled across a good few, most notably Lee Wilkie, Scott Severin and Kevin Kyle but there are others. Good money to be made in that sector, potentially, he could probably make more than he did at the height of his football playing so good luck to him, if it's the lifestyle you desire.
  20. As has been said, this should be a good signing for you. He came on loan to us for a few months 2 seasons ago and looked the part. I don't know if there were things going on in his private life or behind the scenes because he seemed to be involved, looked impressive then disappeared back to Arbroath not even making the bench in the last little bit, but definitely a talent lad and someone that will make things happen in the final 3rd for you.
  21. As soon as I saw that Blair Munn was in at EK, I wondered if Tapping was set to follow. What a signing that is for the club. Munn & Tapping run their own Coaching Academy together and probably due to this, EK have attracted another player that is definitely playing below the level(s) he probably should be.
  22. Probably best to not go there, and to be honest, it's not something that I personally want to regurgitate. There are pages and pages of it in the League 2 forum if you are really that intrigued about the goings on.....certainly at the early part of last season. People who know me know my own views however if you are looking for a topic more divisive than Scottish Independence or Brexit then you have found it, so for that, I'm out of talking about it publicly, on here or in person.
  23. He did, can’t find the quote but it was in a Stirling Observer interview
  24. I hope and think (despite it being so early in pre-season) you are right with this prediction. I think last year we showed that we were solid enough and we obviously had Carrick and others in the side who could bagged goals. We've added a bit more quality in Hilson and looking at the squad balance, I would expect another 1 maybe 2 to come in in the more attacking areas, so I think we will be ok this season, by and large. Darren Young has assembled a good squad, one that can hopefully be likened to Montrose when they came up.....maybe not in style, but in the way they've never really been in any danger of the drop (from memory) and have gradually built under a consistent manager. I would take that. PS - apologies for going off topic everyone
