  1. Have to say that I was delighted to read about the stadium upgrades and not only will it help the club generate more money, it also shows us to be a little bit more professional. To have the option of opening the terrace(s) obviously helps generate more income from the likes of Friday night, but also things like a broken tannoy system just doesn’t paint the club in a good light and it’s frustrating listening to it week in week out and updating the turnstiles makes match-days go a little bit slicker for those behind the scenes and probably the paying punter with their QR code. The supporters bar is massive, I can’t remember the sums of money the Supporters Club handed over to the club via the bar, but not only was it a good income stream, it was also a hive of activity for home games, a place to socialise with like minded people and chat. It’s been massively missed from the matchday experience imho. We all know that Forthbank is a tidy lower league stadium with a cracking pitch, hopefully these changes not only give it the wee face lift that it needs, but also goes a long way to improve fan experience. Well done to all involved.

  9. It was by no means a smash and grab Dumb yatt. Yes, there was little in the way of chances created but we were worthy of the win and deserved the 3 points.
  10. “Stirling get battered everywhere they go, everywhere they go”…….strange choice of song for your young team to chant, but you have to be better than that to batter the current Stirling team and, as the Wasps alluded too above, Alloa just weren’t capable of doing that. I don’t think Alloa were really that bad, you reminded me of Edinburgh City last week, you’re well organised and difficult to play against, but on today’s performance you really didn’t have much, certainly nothing in the final third and a severe lack of any kind of creative spark. I honestly thought you would have been better under Rice and would force yourself into a Play Off spot, but not on today’s showing. I had a fantastic view of the foul for the penalty, what was McKay thinking?? Carrick was fantastic in getting in front of him, but it was always a Goalscoring opportunity and it was always a red card if he made contact, so let him hit the shot and keep 11 men on the pitch…….but I’m not unhappy with his decision making I thought we deserved our win, for @Magic Hat to say we are a poor side is a bit of a surprise to me. There wasn’t much in the game, 2 or 3 chances in the First Half and a couple of half chances in the Second, penalty aside, but throughout the squad, again you saw the fights, the character and the resilience. I’m starting to bore myself in saying it, but I love this squad. I thought from start to finish, the back 4 were fantastic, with Jojo and Cummins probably being the 2 biggest candidates for MOTM. I read a lot on here and on Facebook about how our Defence was a concern, they’re proving people wrong because I think, by and large, they’ve been outstanding since the Vivaplay Cup started. Carrick did what Carrick does up front, we’re so lucky to have him, and the support around him also work tirelessly to get the ball into areas to hurt teams. Great to have the derby back, great to have maximum points from 2 games and great to beat our local rivals at their own place.

  12. Have to admit to only seeing him play once or twice since lock down, but there’s absolutely no doubt he was probably the best Part Time Goalkeeper for a number of seasons, guy was a class act that probably could have played higher.
  13. It was Quentin, from memory that was his first season at the club and he was absolutely frightening for the first part of it. Earlier in the year, someone posted a video on Facebook and it seems he still lives in Central Scotland and runs a 1-1/ small group football coaching company, there was even suggestions that he had been spotted at Forthbank over the years but can't say I've seen him personally. Remember him playing for you that season and although I can't remember the exact game you are referring too, he always seemed to do well against us and hit the heights that saw him do well at Full Time level in Scotland. Definitely a player that was some kind of fans icon in the lower leagues, seemed to be a standout but then jump from club to club to club before doing the same in the Juniors, but always seemed to look exceptional every time I saw. Pretty much said it for most of last season and have posted the same elsewhere a number of times, we genuinely seem like a club on the up again. I think Darren Young put us on the right track on the pitch (although at this point last season I didn't think we would win the league but I did suspect we would be very competitive in the Play Off positions) after his fire fighting few months when he took over from KR. Then for whatever reason, might be change of board, might be the community engagement, might be a number of factors, around about November our crowds seem to climb significantly and then before you know it we were regularly hitting 800-1000 Home supporters and people were interested in the club again. Yes, pushing for League Titles brings people out but I don't remember Moore or any other Stirling manager having such a bounce as we had last year. That seems to have carried on, to the extent that maybe the club are struggling a little bit to meet the demand of people wanting merch and to get along. It's great to see and long may it continue
  14. Remember it well and also remember Allan Creer having an absoute shocker of a game, right in front of the Morrison’s End. My brother in law (at the time) had to report it on local radio and had a nightmare trying to keep up with the play

  16. I know in Scotland you can/could play for as many Junior clubs in 1 season as you like, but only 2 Senior clubs. I'm not sure if the FA registration only overs you to Conference North/South level and anything under that is a free for all.
