  1. Interesting Quentin Taranbino as I’ve not heard any rumblings and/or rumours however I do have some concerns myself which are starting to grow. It’s disappointing that it’s been radio silence from Hamilton, especially when he is new in the role, but also when things are going well. I believe Niall Marshall has also been replaced and again, nothing, it just seems to be the way of it with the new set up, say nothing, and it’s disappointing, especially when fan engagement is as high and the Supporters Trust promised better communication.

  3. WattersIsGod is right, the players being brought in have to improve the squad, for too long we've brought in a number of players on loan that simply added nothing but numbers. We really need someone to make the impact that Kai Fotheringham, Callumn Morrison or Mason Hancock did when they came in. I'd like to think that DY has his eye on a player or has had assurances that someone will come in and is simply having to be patient. Maybe the player is coming from a side that is still active in the transfer market and will not allow a youngster to go out until someone else is brought in. It's something DY has been mentioning in his interviews since the League Cup kicked off, so there's obviously something going on in the back ground, we probably just have to be patient and make do with players filling in until something happens
  4. All joking aside, this is also my experience of watching the u21's under him. I can't understand why he is still in position and it made me laugh out loud when people (and certain sections of the media) were touting him to replace Alex McLeish before Steve Clarke was appointed. I have nothing against the guy, I believe he puts on good CPD Coaching sessions.....or certainly did, and is pretty approachable, however I have never seen evidence that he can structure a team to a system and get the best of the players within it.
  5. How many would we have got if Gauld, Morgan & Doak been in the squad, that's the real question!
  6. It's been said above, but this really is a free hit for us and with everything that appears to be going on with the Defence, I'm not really expecting us to come away with the 3 points. This squad has a way of proving people wrong though and despite only winning league games 1-0, I genuinely think there is goals in the squad, so there is a chance, however I expect Hamilton will simply have too much for us this week.
  7. Only Stevie Clarke can say for sure, but like Gauld, Doak.....a large number of players that a section of our support want to see, he feels like there are better options away from them at this moment in time.
  8. I think what impresses me more than ever, is the academies or teams that players are coming through in. I have said it before, but I think over the last couple of years, we have had players coming through in some very very good academies. That's not to say that they will come through there (although of course, Doak & Doig are) but it gives the players a fantastic education for them to have successful futures in the game.

  10. Not me personally @Big Fifer, but I share an office with a lad that went to see Madness there last year and said he had no bother parking at Ingliston P&R. My wife has taken the car to Hot Dub Time Machine the past 3 years and has also had no problem parking, so would say that you'd be ok.

  13. Watching Darren Young's after match interview last night and it broke that Paul McLean's absence was due to a burst appendix during the evening. Obviously goes without saying that I hope Pabs is ok, but despite us doing well without him on Saturday, and with Jojo hobbling off as well, it could be a long 3-4 weeks without him. Heard a few rumblings at the end of last season that Pabs would struggle to cut it in League 1 these days, but the early season form show's that he is still our best Centre Back, so hopefully he doesn't miss too many games.

  20. The Development Squad play on a Friday night (in-fact we beat Cumbernauld Colts last night) so possibly to do with availability and/or recuperation from that? I do get your point though mate, and do agree, I’m simply trying to think along the lines of Darren Young really.
  21. Wow, an uninspiring encounter but it certainly had its moments and although a draw was probably fair, I’m delighted we managed to bag all 3. The win was definitely built on the big saves that Currie made, I’ve said it so many times over the years but I can’t think of a Part Time GK that I would jump at taking over him and he showed his worth today. Outfield wise, we kept our shape, gave bags of effort and worked hard before getting the break that was always going to come at some point. Yes we rode our luck at times, but the diving antics of Johnstone & Biabi up front……get it right up yi, as the Fifers would say. It’s been said above about Cummings, McGregor & Clark, so without repeating what has been said, would also throw Davidson into the mix, thought he was excellent in the middle of the park and Cooper was so positive when he came on, that is was testament to his hard work when he scored. Yip, by no means a classic, but another 1-0 win and onto 9 points, I’ll take that any day.
  22. I’m of the opinion that youngsters have more benefit going out on loan playing, rather than sitting on a bench, so I would prefer the lads were out doing that.
