  1. Having watched the highlights this morning, I'm firmly in @WC Boggs camp on this, I don't think it was intentional but for me it's dangerous play and a there fore a Red Card. Had it been the opposite way around, I know what our support would be shouting. Feel for Crane, he's gone to win the ball and he's obviously had a good match, having not played for a number of weeks, but I'm sure he'll see it now and go "ok then". What I would say though, how many times do we see Goalkeeper go to collect balls like that and nothing happens.......

Glad we all see things differently then, he knew he was under the ball, and once he received his treatment he came off rubbing the back of his head, goes to get his shoulder checked up, on his way to the sideline he had a wee wink & a laugh up at us away fans in the stand, ref shat it, way too hasty with his card, zero help from his standside linesman who like us was directly in line with it, ref was conned, IMO & almost everyone in the stand, management staff including DY who was also booked for his protests, agreed hopefully the young lad is ok,never like to see anyone injured but he contributed to the outcome himself

Ouch, he's on the wind up to the fans, of course he is. He can hear the fury and knows what has happened, so is playing the pantomime villain and is milking it to get a reaction, doesn't mean it wasn't a foul or a sore one. I used to do the same from time to time, so what.

Stirling played quite well, do they really need all the shitfest stuff, about 10 times players went down rolling, clutching body parts.  Last team like that was that awful Dumbarton team that went down.

Stunned to read this, have never seen us do that in all the time that Young has been here, so I’m surprised this was the case today.

Delighted with the 3 points 🇵🇪

  3. Robert Thomson becomes the 199th player to sign for East Kilbride this season!!

Wish Tommo well with the move, I thought he was a big player for us last season and was the link man that contributed massively to the goals that Carrick and others scored in League 2. Although it seemed his legs had gone, he was affective and formed a good partnership with him.

It’s been the polar opposite this season sadly, he just looks so out his depth in League 1 and he’s struggled to make any impact in the games that I have seen him play. It’s not through lack of effort, but he just isn’t a player that can play at this level anymore and with this move, I’m guessing he knows it himself.

I’ve watched a good bit of Lowland League football over the years and I’m sure he’ll be a good signing for EK, and will be effective in the league, so I hope the move works out well for him.

  5. I multi-quoted some comments about your crowd and "where you should be" comments over the last few pages, but they don't seem to be coming up.

Anyway, it's funny this should come up because only last weekend, my son was going through his usual YouTuber football channels watching videos. He came across one from last season, a 1-1 draw with Dunfermline at East End Park and my son loved watching the video as I was reading the paper and he came put with "Dad, where do you think these 2 clubs should be playing?". It's honestly my opinion that you (along with Dunfermline but I'll leave them out of this thread haha) should be SPL clubs. When you think about support, history, stadiums, growth, size of towns etc etc then I very much see Falkirk as that.

Obviously that's not the case and it's maybe a bit embarrassing for the club that you're not in the mix, sustaining it or yo-yoing between it, but that's probably Falkirk's natural position I would say, as an outsider.

    Just my 2 pence worth.

  6. Have to agree with you @Beepee67, sadly I can't make the Montrose game but I am looking forward to seeing how the new lads fit in and hope that they improve the squad. It certainly gives Young options to use, which he's probably not had the luxury of this season.

I don't know what the plan was in the summer, did Young simply want to give the lads that got us there the chance? Was there no money available to bring in anymore than he did? Could he simply not get better than what we already had or what we had signed? Who knows, however it's pleasing to see that he has acted and that the board have provided funds for him to use.

With the squad being boosted.....can we expect a couple of players to depart soon??

  7. Has there been talks....is this a journalist that has let things slip.....or it it simply someone speculating on what fan chat has been around???

"Clarke has been regarded as very loyal to his Scotland players, but with the likes of Tino Livramento and Elliot Anderson at Newcastle emerging as eligible contenders for the squad, he says there will be much more under consideration than previous performances for the national team."

  8. Kieran Offord signs on loan until the end of the season. Not a player I know personally, but a quick Google search shows that he is a Striker, with previous Loan experience at East Stirlingshire (13 goals in 18 games), Alloa ( 3 goals in 13 games) and earlier this season at Edinburgh City where he scored 2 goals in 19 games.

Anyone, shed any light on how they think he will do for us??

  10. Although 8th in the league, I think we are well positioned to achieve, what was our ultimate aim. With what is going on at Edinburgh, and with them being 10 points away from us, really it's ourselves and Annan battling it out to avoid that dreaded Play Off spot. 7 points clear of them gives us a nice wee safety cushion, but we've got to ensure that stays in tacked and if we can climb up, then wonderful.

I think Kelty is the key game of the 4 and the "must win one" although it's by no means a must win game. If we can pick up a point from Montrose and/or Hamilton then great, but I think Young and Co will have Kelty at Home as a 3 pointer as they'll surely be the team that we are looking to catch.

  11. Was thinking exactly the same thing @WattersIsGod. I thought with giving them a designated section of the Stand then ultimately giving them the whole terrace really, I thought this would grow but it's done the opposite and they have now totally disappeared. I have no idea why, but have wondered if the Police or Club had intervened after a few issues.....I don't know, just seems a little odd.

The club certainly do the right things, in getting into the Community, but I wonder if we have the resources to turn that into people attending matches. I thought the offer of Junior Academy Season Tickets was a step in the right direction but can only assume the uptake on that was extremely poor, as that section is empty.

This thread has gone off topic, but it's good to chat about what has come out in it.
