Worrying times. Our next two games are Stranraer at home (absolutely must win) and Dumbarton away (I seen they had two subs today?!) we really should be winning those. Then it’s a trip to a junior ground with grass, in the middle of January, in the Scottish Cup.

    Players need brought in pronto.

Seeing as you are either blinkered or have a problem with you sight, may I educate you on the Scottish Football set up..

Your clubs trip in the Scottish Cup in the middle of January is to Midlothian to play Bonnyrigg Rose and yes we do play on grass.  We are in our second season out of the diddy  junior football leagues. We are currently second in the Lowland League which (without checking) is about 15 places  below you in the SPFL set up.

Hope you have bought you ticket for the game on the 18th January and enjoy your trip to Bonnyrigg.

  2. It was an excellent performance today and some well made goals a token of of quality football. Another excellent crowd today considering few with our opponents. Long may Hearts and Hibs serve up dross and their deserted fans can come and watch a good team

Good to see the youngsters getting a chance, but I am a bit concerned about some of the experienced players who have not been seen for a few weeks!!!

Another big game next Saturday, bring it on.

Easy win for the Rose today. Could easily have been a few more.
I was a bit disappointed by the Colts TBH.
The pitch cut up a little with a few bobbles as a result, but was perfectly payable.

The pitch doesnt matter when you punt the ball continuously from back to front

Maybe your team should try it. You might win games and get 3pts.

  4. It sure was a close game and once more Jonny Brown in the right place at the right time. Another example of the never say die attitude of the squad.

Took a long time to thaw out on the journey back to Bonnyrigg, conditions were certainly very difficult for both teams. Personally I am delighted that we have beaten last seasons champions twice in the LL this season.

Now halfway through our League season and to have 40pts is a tremendous effort, something we could only have dreamed of at the start of the season.

Sick of seeing all the shite you post more like emoji23.pngemoji23.pngemoji23.pngemoji23.pngemoji23.png

As far as I'm aware this is a forum and I can comment where and when I please, so I'll decide about that one.

Ps you forgot your tagline that I love so much

    C'mon The Shire

I have sorted that for you, thanks for the reminder.

Must do better. Off for the school run now.

Just think it's horrible to rob your own fans. At least it saves you from begging for more money for further upgrades.

Well it the fans/supporters financing the club not some rich American playboy wondering what to do with his pocket money, and when it’s gone it’s gone.

Just compare  our average attendance with yours.

You were missing from your teams match on Saturday because you were in bed ill. Sick of your club all the stress supporting your club. I think you would be better concentrating on your team rather than making posts on what is happening at other clubs( PS make that your New Year resolution).

The pitch isn't great but that's no excuse and it was a very wet day, I've seen Berwick and Cowden a lot worse.

Clyde though be warned. If you put out a much changed starting line up they will do you. Bonnyrigg are very beatable but if you make the number of changes the Mo did then you'll get what you deserve - we did. In fairness I think Bonnyrigg made a couple of changes as well, Mikey Andrews wasn't in goal.

By the way there is no seating at all at the ground even for Press guys, just a grassy bank to stand on. No disrespect to Bonnyrigg, just a fact. I was rather hoping they would get somebody like Hibs or Hearts at home and see how they coped with the situation.

Can you give me reasons why press guys need a seat?

    Bonnyrigg 0-3 Montrose

Allan Fleming to come off the bench and score a hat-trick :).

Naw. You are in a time warp and suffering memory loss, that  was the score when your team played at home in the first round and shat it.

For the moment The Big Rose go marching on.

The only reason Kelty was used was because the current standings were used to illustrate a scenario that would mean no relegation from the Lowland League this season. I don't see Brechin fans in a huff over a hypothetical.

So if you had posted at midday on Saturday you would have used the Lowland League leaders at that moment?  (Doubt it)

Brechin fans will be checking the Highland League thread I would have thought.

That's why I said a licensed tier 6 champion. The Brechin/Kelty scenario would allow for a applied for vacancy. So the LL would be freshened up a bit anyway.

I have mentioned it previously. A bit presumptuous to use the former junior club just off the M90 in Fife as the example for the play off. The season has not yet reached the halfway stage and plenty to play for for a few clubs.

  11. I also am looking forward to this cup tie. One thing for sure is that Montrose will know that they have been in a game.

This might be the biggest crowd that Montrose have played in front of all season, we at Bonnyrigg have experience of such occasions!!!

  12. Well that was some game last night. What a gutsy performance never say die attitude right to the very end. It was certainly a match that kept you warm on a cold night. Thought it was certainly a bit ironic that the 2 Spartans goals were scored by two former Rose players who both scored in that dramatic day at the end of last season when we won the League at Broxburn.

So now the lead up starts for the big Scottish cup tie next Saturday, can’t wait.

    bump:)

A bump we will recover from. A lot of effort put into today’s performance against a brick wall defence. Not very often we have 0 against our name despite the chances we had.

Still big fish to fry in the weeks ahead lots to look forward to starting on Tuesday.
