  1. I just think he's one of those players whose natural ability means his ceiling is so high. The hardest things to coach are touch and ability on the turn, but Tait has them down.
  2. To get Tait permanently would be an absolute coup.
  3. The best thing about this is the overwhelming majority of the folk that sit up that end of the stand will be old folk, families and some press from the Falkirk Herald.
  4. Asking me to think too far back, but I seem to remember them having a really interchangeable midfield where they took it in turns to fill in as the furthest forward. We play a bit like that now too actually.
  5. We have to remember to leave a bit of money in the budget for Arfield coming in next January too.
  6. Yeah he's been brilliant. All the attributes to play the way McGlynn wants and a fantastic bit of scouting from him.
  7. Assume if you shake then it will distort whatever image is on the banner.
  8. There is nothing better than being right behind the goal for a 90th minute winner though. Can't stand it when that's taken away from me.
  9. I only ever watch them on my phone and can never see the issue.
  10. Send an email to admin@falkirksupporters.org and we can get it added. I don't believe we collect location data for everyone, so we only know where people stay if they've told us.
  11. I just can't let myself get to that point. Even if I wanted to there is a mental block.
  12. I wonder (if the season goes the way we hope) if we could see the KM7 Stand sold out to season ticket holders next year. Doesn't seem to be many available each week.
  13. I just missed Brockville and started going regularly the first year at TFS so nothing to compare it to, but definitely the part of the stadium I consistently enjoyed the most.
  14. All true, but I had so much fun in there and the fond memories will last forever.
  15. I bring this up every time the 4th stand is mentioned, but bring back the gazebo! I loved being in there.
  16. I guess I think it just looks a bit messy...dare I say it a bit "rangersy"...to be continually issuing shares. It could actually lead to FSS rarely holding the 25% shareholding too. If a share issue had been agreed by shareholders the day after all shares had been bought, and the others 'legs of the stool' all immediately bought, then the FSS shareholding would be temporarily diluted until we 'caught up'. Then the next batch of shares is released and the whole process happens again. No, I definitely much prefer the model where FSS has a mechanism to quickly secure their current shareholding in the event of a share issue, rather than continually issuing shares.
  17. It had always been my understanding as well that once the shareholding was secured that FSS turned to a contribution model. I think it's quite clear though that this wasn't well communicated as you're not the first to raise it as an issue. I wasn't on the Committee at the point of the Fans Bank initiative, but I think it's fair to say that (as fantastic as it was/is) this accelerated everything and started to raise issues that would otherwise have been ironed out in the 4/5 years it would have taken to slowly accure the shareholding. The issue itself around shares is quite a complicated one. FSS has always been considered as part of the 3 legged stool, therefore to be continually issuing shares would risk the balance of the model. I get the point that all other shareholders would have access to any issued shares, but something about it just doesn't quite feel right. I much prefer the suggestion that FSS seeks a mechanism for which it can purchase it's ringfenced shareholding quickly in the event of a future share issue...much like an individual large shareholder would do. There are more mechanisms (many many more) than just the loan option available to be explored and that is a piece of work ongoing at the moment. I think everybody is looking for the same outcome for the FSS - that is a fans organisations with a shareholding that ensures that the big decisions have the supporters backing, a vehicle for which fans voice can be gathered and amplified, and the chance to help fund the Club to a stronger position. It's just that there are varying directions to get to that end point. Bumps in the road sure, but I think everything is on the right track.
  18. The P&B Falkirk thread has certainly become a much more serious place than it used to be.
  19. Definitely not an easy situation, but I maintain that the issue is more how these groups are viewed, and therefore treated, by the authorities and wider society rather than the group itself. Last night there was the clearly antagonist Police tactics. Hamilton game I think is when the 'robust search' warning went out before the game. It all breeds this fraught environment which can spill over into the type of thing we saw last night. Much more complicated than just folk out to cause I bother imo.
  20. Maybe not, but I've seen enough across social media to show that people are suggesting that the behaviour last night was because there is now, as you put it, a singing section. That's when you start getting into dangerous territory. The narrative will build and this group will be vilified as violent, aggressive and something 'other' than the rest of the fanbase when it is simply not true.
  21. Yeah I do get that. A difficult task but I feel any statement would have to carefully balance the condoning of behaviour without adding to the narrative that football fans are deviant. A difficult ask.
  22. I don't think it's a coincidence that the first real issue we see from within the ultras section comes after the police wade into them during the game. I spent around 2 years studying policy relating to football fans, particularly around policing and surveillance at matches. There is an endless list of evidence that the tactics employed by the police (we seen them in the first half yesterday) are antagonistic. All they caused yesterday by wading into the group was to chuck a few folk out, and piss off 100 others who were otherwise fairly calm. I'd be incredibly disappointed in the Club if they released as statement as all it does it perpetuate the notions that 'ultras' are deviant. So far the approach the Club have taken is perfect - by taking any issues behind closed doors and fixing them. Let that continue.
  23. Definitely. Accumulation of errors and was part of a period of the match where it felt like we were overplaying it. Nesbitt's pass was the one that put the play back into a risky area from a relatively safe place though, so I'd have him equally accountable. More generally, it's mad how different folk's opinions can be on the same game. Seen calls that Nesbitt and Spencer were the best players on the park, but I thought the midfield was probably our weakest point. Neat and tidy, sure, but last night we needed them to be quicker and get the ball to front 3 in dangerous areas.
