  1. Thanks. Yeah it wasn't a very thought out post to be honest just firing from the hip, I would be much more comfortable with the idea of Scotland gaining independence and then some other parties taking the reigns than I would with the thought of the SNP running an independent Scotland, similar to how i'm sure a lot of people voting for Brexit didn't want UKIP to run the country. I appreciate they're a good party to fall behind if you're very keen on the idea of independence and at one point I viewed them as a good party to fall behind regardless of your views on independence but now sadly I look at them as a single issue party.
  2. Yeah i'd be content with that, I didn't vote to leave the EU though. Someone else said i'm a fan of British nationalism though which isn't true either. I'm quite a hippy with my line of thinking but I find patriotism a bit silly overall. I will be cheering on England at the World Cup though.
  3. Well firstly, i'm English so I don't come from a purely "what's best for Scotland" perspective. Secondly, I believe that we're better together and will believe so until convinced otherwise, the onus is on the side going for Independence to convince the rest, the last campaign did not convince me, i'm not a big fan of nationalism generally speaking and I've experienced a lot of negativity from growing up English in Scotland, i'd hate for that to be more common place which unfortunately I do see being the case the more the SNP stoke divisions. Economically, living standards, ease of transport, defense and various other areas I don't have the time to go into are all handled better within the union we currently abide rather than they would in an independent Scotland. I'm not against Scotland being independent if the majority wanted it but I think it's at a stage where they don't and it's very underhanded the way in which Nicola tries to spin "Remain" votes as "Yes" votes. Lastly I don't like the SNP at all, I could happily vote for Scottish Independence if I believed it be for the better but I can't sincerely see myself ever trusting the SNP specifically or voting for them. I'm at work right now and don't have the time to properly give you a good answer but that's what I've got right now, I appreciate you asking the question even if it's insincere. If this reply doesn't receive at least 3 red dots and a gif then i'll be stunned and disappointed.
  4. From the Unionist side not from the Independence supporters side, that's where I get bored. I get it, I really do get it, there's a lot of dumb narrow-minded right wing Rangers types that blindly voted, I accept that. Their equivalent exist and thrive here though and there's nobody calling them out from what I've seen. The sensible supporters of independence (seemingly yourself) can deride the Brexiteers all day but won't comment on the ridiculous xenophobic posts by Remainers/Yes voters. I've posted one thing and had multiple people all trying to take a shot at the champ, one's already called me a *** (I'm not offended just commenting) but you just know the second I would say something remotely out of step then the full force of the circle jerk would ejaculate me from the forum. Again, I don't really care i'm just aware that's the status quo here and it would do some people well to acknowledge that sort of thing to avoid themselves embarrassment in the offline world when they repeat what their favourite poster has said on here. (I'm still using the 2010 edition)
  5. A combination of various places, this place is an echo chamber for pro Independence chat as anything else gets chased away. As long as you're aware of that i'm not saying anything bad about people getting info from here, just the guy I was initially addressing said the only people who he could see on his Twitter that supported "Brexit" and such were dumb Rangers fans, all i'm saying is he may not surround himself with many neutral, unbias sources.
  6. It really is, I grew out of that albeit rather lately but by the age of 16. You really hate those "****" though don't ya?
  7. I don't even know you but I really hope you're better than that.
  8. Relevant, appropriate and wasn't banter was a sincere point. This forum isn't exactly the place to find balanced arguments on things like Scottish Independence, I'm sure you're aware of that.
  9. I'm sorry edgelord. I know you'd prefer it if this place was filled with entirely "Yes" voters it would be so much nicer for you but sadly that's not the case, take the Rangers thread being filled with non Rangers fans as an interesting parallel
  10. Hysterically so. How about you play the ball and not the man, what did I say that was hysterical? Don't you think it's untrue and unwise to act as if everyone that voted "no" did so because they're evil Rangers fans?
  11. Aha I liked Stormzy before he went all political. I'm not ridiculing anyone though, shift that narrative all you want, I'm commenting fairly and have already been met with the oh so edgy treble asterix.
  12. Very sensible post, can't find anything to argue with which is why I initially commented, I wish the kid well wherever he decides to go if anywhere.
  13. No, you've spectacularly missed my point. If you want your argument to be better you should try and gain as much knowledge about the other side as you can, pretending that the only people who voted "Leave" or "No" are dumb Rangers fans on Twitter is naïve, silly and will only further frustrate you when you're proven wrong. It also says most about said persons Twitter and who he chooses to follow, nothing about me which I think you're trying to imply i'm pro Brexit because i'm a Rangers fan, who knows. Wild post either way.
  14. We've got a smart guy here. All other opinions are stupid.
  15. Says more about who you choose to follow then doesn't it. It's all very disconcerting when someone breaks through into the echo chamber.
  16. Yeah I was looking for a bite if i'm honest with you, he looked very good before he went, I've not really followed him. If he's barely played 10 games in 18 months then i'd be fairly confident that he's not what we need right now. Of course if we got him for free due to the situation in Portugal right now then we'd be foolish to turn him down. One thing I can say with certainty is that if he was to ever sign for Rangers then he would undoubtedly become pish on here over night.
  17. I'm not going to pretend I've watched an awful lot of him but that reads very dramatic. Are his skills unquantifiable here or something?
  18. That was incredibly embarrassing for the SNP. Won't do them well to act like petulant children, can't see anyone over the age of 12 being won over by todays posturing. Thought Mhari was going to start throwing hands as she swaggered out.
  19. Nah, not the required level we need, we've a lot of midfielders already.
  20. Don't really want him at Rangers, would take him to enjoy the reactions on here but meh.
  21. Well.. yeah. It's kind of all they do other than burn some crosses here and there. Wildly off topic anyway i'm going off as I finish in 5 minutes time and you guys like to talk about anything other than Rangers on the Rangers thread on the forum and that gets boring very very quickly.
  22. Getting better, still some dodgy clip art style pictures we're working with here. 3/10.
