  1. That's a scunner. Hopefully he won't be out too long.
  2. Forfar will get at least one vote. One prominent Sons supporter always votes for our opposition.
  3. The vote results aren't public. Disappointing.
  4. I feel like Stenny robbed the points there. But. If you don't score goals, then you don't win games. And fair play to Stenny for actually winning. It's results like that, that win titles.
  5. I spoke to him very briefly at the poty do and he was very pessimistic about our play off chances. Obviously he was spot on but if you go into them thinking you've no chance then you probably don't.
  6. He'll need to come back to change the word back to gravity.
  7. Saturday 20th January with a 1730 ko on Viaplay for the next round cup match. https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/news/scottish-gas-men-s-scottish-cup-tv-picks-confirmed-for-fourth-round-weekend/?rid=2107
  8. George Young holds the record for captaining Scotland the most times having done so on 48 occasions. Robbo is currently on 45. I'd love him to miss one of the friendlies so he can break the record against Germany.
  9. Fao travelling fans, the Erskine bridge is closed all weekend if you were planning to use it.
  10. With us taking part in the opener, it means we've got an extra rest day than Switzerland when we play them which can only be a good thing imo. Looking further ahead (I know, I know) if we win the group, we'd have an extra day on our opponent and two days if we finish in 2nd. If we finish as one of the best 3rd place finishers then we'll have either 7,8 or 9 days to prepare (either 2 or 3 days more than our opposition) although we'd up against a group winner.
  11. Glasgow to Stuttgart flights and then a two hour or so train journey to Munich for the opening game booked. It was £130 cheaper than flying directly to Munich and as the flight is 6am, we'll be in Munich by mid afternoon. Hotel also booked. Cannot wait.
  12. I can also recall watching Euro88 qualifiers away to Ireland, Belgium and Bulgaria live too.
  13. I'm 48 and I can remember the 1986 wc qualifiers against Spain, Iceland and Wales being shown live along with both legs of the Australia play off matches. You'd need to be well over 25 to remember no qualifiers being shown live.
  14. I've just made the draw. We'll play the Play off A winner first in Gelsenkirchen on 16/6 followed by Denmark in Munich on the 20th and finish up against Spain also in Munich on the 25th.
  15. The attendance was 11k and the atmosphere was dead inside a ground that held over 70k at the time. I think the capacity at Boghead was around 6k then and I thought it would've been better just playing it there. I also vowed that I wouldn't go to any game switched from our place again. It's never happened so my resolve has never been tested but I'd like to think I'd stand my ground. There's also a fair chance I'll give this a miss anyway. Cannot be bothered with road closures and the mutants that call themselves football fans. Even their Dumbarton loyal flags sicken me.
  16. Yep. I hope we avoid the arse cheeks altogether. I cannot be bothered with their supporters on a matchday. And the ones I work with will try to make out that our wee team should be eternally grateful for their benevolence even though none of them actually go to games. A winnable game please.
  17. Here's one of the notes I keep on my phone regarding the last time we scored x amount of goals in a game amongst other things. And on another note, Stevie Farrell has now moved up to the 14th longest serving manager in terms of games. He's now one ahead of Ian Murray and two behind Jim Chapman.
  18. Yep, that's the one. Almost ten years ago.
