  1. I've read all the Bosch books and after a while I really grew to love Titus Welliver's portrayal.

The series are mostly adaptions of the books - some have more than one book running through them as a plot line. It gets better and better with each series as well. I'm disappointed they won't be making more.
At the end of the last episode they set it up for Bosch and Maddie to branch out on their own and I believe there are a few series in the pipeline. Don't know if they felt they had taken Bosch as far as they could but the books branch out in different ways so there was certainly more material there. I really liked the way they intertwined the city and police politics in with the police cases, hopefully the new series can keep that aspect going.

For those that liked Bosch, I can recommend Goliath with Billy Bob Thornton (also on Prime).

Agreed. If we accept that the disallowed goal is inconclusive then there wasn’t really anything too contentious yesterday. Mugabe is lucky he doesn’t make contact with Hayes in the second half as I think that’s a 2nd yellow if he does.

The match was determined by poor quality throughout though. And let’s be honest, we showed up determined not to be bullied by Motherwell again and it’s maybe unsurprising that we were horrendous to watch but yielded a point.

I don’t think it’s a sign of things to come from Goodwin necessarily, just needs must given the circumstances.

When you look at some of the recent double-headers, McInnes obviously made the decision after cup defeats that the team wouldn't be bullied. Aberdeen then sneaked the league game but the games were brutal to watch. Not much different yesterday other than it ended a draw.

Agreed on the disallowed goal being inconclusive. It was so tight that I don't think you can really criticise the officials too much (other than team bias) in these situations considering we struggle to tell using still photos.

I'm not really getting this. Sportscene highlights didn't show his position when the ball was kicked but they had somehow got hold of a clip taken from the moon which thy seemed to think conclusively shows he's onside. If anything, it looks to me as though Ramirez's shoulder is slightly further forward. The only thing this proves is the decision was marginal. The linesman had an impossible task and it would have needed VAR to clear it up. It's certainly not comparable with Efford's from the previous week.

I heard Goodwin's radio interview after the game and he's not changed. Claiming he had seen he was clearly onside and saying he had been told that Aberdeen had been on the receiving end of a few of these decisions (conveniently ignoring the one that went in their favour the previous week).

  4. The St Mirren away support have always been great. Not only in numbers to the majority of grounds ,but also in the backing they give. Today was a perfect example of that. Looking like we were heading for a narrow defeat, the crowd rallied and helped the team find a way of getting something from a game that looked unlikely.  Definitely the 12th man on many occasion.
    Self proclaimed best away support?
  5. Aberdeen have the best away support in the country outwith the OF. When you consider we've to travel accumulatively longer miles, it's without doubt.

Always thought Hearts and Hibs were disappointing in that respect. We bring far more  to their stadiums than they to ours.

  6. Regarding the seating, it was probably decided after the situation from the cup game. If there was more than 1000 sold then they would have undoubtedly opened up the lower section but today there was only 800 away fans. Last week there were 2,000.

Also, Gallagher fit into our style of play more than Aberdeens. He's not THAT great but I just love it after he threw his toys out of the pram. There's a reason why Van Veen kept teasing and battling him.
Did Gallagher need to buy a ticket to get back in after Van Veen spun on the edge of the box?

Normally. But they have screwed up by appointing a new Manager. That will mess with the footballing gods / juju.

Yes, McInnes altered his approach in league games after cup defeats and reduced the game to midfield battles with them nicking a goal. I was hoping that them sacking Glass would mean they wouldn't have the chance to take the same approach but surely Goodwin has a very good idea as to how we play and maybe Robson will have some input so I won't be surprised if the cup win hoodoo continues.

That was a struggle but so much early letter elimination didn't leave many options.

I still use the same shortcut on my phone but I see it does note it as NY Times.
