  1. This. Always this. I think he was 16 at the time! Better than any goal Rooney scored at that age
  2. According to Wikki, Fyvie played Once for Wigan in his time there. Not much to build trust on...
  3. Pogbas still pushing for his move, Icardi's burned his bridges at Inter, can't think of the other one
  4. Due to the league positions of both sides, I assume that there will be little or no issue with this happening, with an agreement to review the situation should things change (e.g. we both become brilliant, and qualify for Europe)
  5. Just got to watch that we don't get stung by other clubs inflating the prices of our targets., knowing that we're flush! Dollah Dollah Dollah...
  6. The Sun is tailored to literary requirements of old firm dafties. There's nothing in there for the sophisticated west end intelligensia that frequent Firhill. Don't read it again Chad. It's beneath you. The paper was in front of me whilst waiting for my coffee, otherwise I'd never have known!
  7. 2-pages on Miller in the Sun, Thistle mentioned about twice.
  8. At least we'll be able to pay for a few beers with the 1st Goalscorer bets placed when we play them...
  9. His left arm looks as tho its trying to hold back the tide in his troosers
  10. He's probably got the pick of the Championship and lower Prem - he'll be talking to a few people. Morton would probably lose their shit if he signed for us - they'd see it as a downward step.
  11. Actually good to have a figurehead for all the hatred and abuse, esp if they can take it. Does the nasty work, sets things up for better things (hopefully), and can be chased out of town if things go wrong!
  12. Someone's using their laptop allowance for the weekend to settle some scores in the only way he knows how. With Ainslee Harriot. Guy's rock hard for him
  13. John Hughes. He'll get you results for the next few games. Next year... not so much
  14. I hear Mark Yardley wants to come out of retirement to add some youthful vigour to our attacking line-up
  15. Cudos to Alloa - you've never been the worst team in this division (that's not much of a compliment tho!) Hope you can keep it going next year, as long as Thistle are at least 5 places above you!
  16. I think one of them, he took over with 5 games to go, not a great situation. He then brought them straight back up, and was the league's MOTY. He left them in pretty much the same situation it think. Chesterfield is a nonsense, but He D didn't do well. You can spin this in either way. However, I'm more than happy to give him the benefit of the doubt.
  17. Without the benefit of hindsight, Caldwells probably as good as we could expect. He's young enough that people still remember him playing at the highest level, and has one relativley decent managerial spell at a far bigger club than us. The failure seems to be par for the course at Chesterfield. He's not someone that I would ever think would become a great manager, but I'm just wanting someone who can be good at our level, which I think he could/should be. Onwards and upwards.
  18. Whoever it is will have to be a good motivator, because this squad is full of players that should be better than they show each week. Hughes used to be able to do this, but he's a busted flush these days, so I'd say he's out. McCall can still do it, but he won't leave his gig to come back. None of the other names mentioned are jumping out at me. I got pelters for this after the game, but I'd like to see McCoist take it for a wee while - there's a chance it was the pressure of the **** gig that affected his football style, and he might be able to cheer the place up a bit. It would also give the other teams a good laugh if/when it crashed and burned. Of course, there's no chance of it actually happening anyway, so I don't mind the derision I'll get for saying it!
  19. The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle! Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,Signifying nothing. That's this thread, that is
  20. Love the fact that Morton decided not to tell him about the approach until after the Thistle game - a full day later at least. Good to know you can deal with your employer in an open and honest manner...
