  1. A silly one Disappointed at you pep, you must have seen him when you were knocking one out over Harry Souttar
  2. Anybody seen anything of this guy? Hes 21 plays for Huddersfield and scores goals. His mums Scottish according to Wikipedia. He's played for england up to under 19s Just wondering if anybody has watched this guy play and might it be worth seeing if he's interested.
  3. Just a quick look at the international results from tonight puts in perspective the complete overreaction on here.
  4. So de Bruyne did say they didn't start well. As I said Please quote where I said we were in this game? What I am saying is there were parts of the game where we pressed well, and kept possession well. The shape was also good. We lost goals to a counter attack and set pieces. For the 4th game for a new manager with so little time I thought it was good in part (considering who we were playing) Which is alot more realistic than martinez telling Belgium to sit in and keep it tight and try and hit Scotland on the break. "listen guys this is Scotland, if we try and go at them Matt Philips will rip us to shreds" "their too good, sit tight and we will try and counter"
  5. Yeah Belgium came here looking to sit tight and hit the notoriously all out attack flair merchants of scotland. That would definitely have been their game plan. De Bruyne actually said after the game, they didn't start well. He must just be disguising the game plan so they can use it next time they play us.
  6. Michael O'Neil won 1 game out of his first 15 matchs as northern Ireland manager! Yes that's 1 win out of 15 Maybe worth giving the manager more of a chance than writing him off after defeat in his 4th game to the no1 ranked team in the world eh.
  7. I'd say given the score and performance and circumstances your expectations and unreasonable and unrealistic.
  8. Just made it 4 f**k As I see it there is a clear and coherent game plan. Which is being undone by the no1 ranked team in the world. Honestly I don't understand what people expect. N Ireland were shite for a long long time under O'Neil
  9. Is there actually people here that expect we should be beating Belgium tonight?
  10. I doubt it, for Belgium they haven't been that great. For Scotland with a new manager on his 4th game, playing the no1 ranked team in the world. We have done ok passing and possession wise. And been unlucky they have scored as many as 3
  11. Think-tank, was that not the one with Rinus Michels (know as the father of modern football) Where we just ignored everything they said shut the thing down and said we know what we're doing? I might be wrong I was very young at the time.
  12. Thanks for that, I didn't realise they had better players. So they always score with every chance, some team eh? Yeah of course our passing game died out, when your getting beat 0-3 it's pretty normal for confidence to go down.
  13. I'm aware I'm likely to get ripped into for this but so what. I might be off my head, but honestly I don't think we have been that bad. They have scored with nearly every chance. We have kept possession quite well and pressed well also. This might turn into a shit show now, but we're really really unlucky to be 0-3 down
  14. Don't think that's true at all, Strachan had more than a fair crack of it. And certainly wasn't under any pressure after 3 games. Mcleish was under pressure from the start, which was fair enough as his appointment was an absolute joke to begin with. Looking back apart from that I think the managers have been judged on the performances and results. Which I expect will be the case here too. The other exception is Craig levein. Who put himself under increased pressure by acting like an absolute bell end at every interview and press conference. Plus played a stupid team and formation.
  15. It's whether Clarke wanted them to do that or they just crapped it and sat in. I thought at the time it was Clarkes game plan, my mate was adamant it was down to the players. From the comments after the game from Clarke and robertson it seems it was the players. I'd need to check but there's a quote from Clarke saying along the lines of I don't know why we dropped so deep I'll need to re watch it. In which case if it was the players doing it themselves why wasn't Clarke on the touchline waving the line up higher? I don't know what's potentially worse tho, Clarke being overly defensive or the players being gutless? Sure Clarke will improve them tho
  16. Do you keep up with the news, how's this looking now In the papers mate, you should check them out sometime
  17. Strachan was good for us in certain aspects, he did have the team playing well. But he picked the wrong players everytime. Some of he line ups were absolutely rotten and he paid the price for sticking with the same under performing players. Where as Clarkes team made sense. He's had 3 games, the people with negative views of the management already need to get a grip. 3 games, Strachan had how many goes at qualifying. Once in an easy group. He was never going to take us to a major tournament. The right man's in charge give him some time.
  18. Im not sure if that guys even posted on the thread before. But very unfair to compare him to a fire stoker like myself. Anyway see "auld" Henry's managed to forget the question he couldnt answer
  19. The players are paid to represent the country, where do you think the money comes from to do this if not from the fans?
