  1. I dont think anyone is judging Clarke on the result one one friendly game. Or that would even come in to account. You look at the results on the whole. I dont care about facilities or if hes brought young players in, anyone could do that. Its wether hes winning games or not.
  2. I dont know, id say even if we finish bottom of the group then he has still been a success. Hes qualified us twice so its an improvement. But id say that would be the correct time for him to leave. But your correct its easier to get to the euros. Also its a stronger squad and team than we have had in years. What else are we to judge him on other than performance? The name of the game is to win games, qualify and then do well at the tournament. Theres no other criteria, its international football, you judge it on results.
  3. I'd love that to be the case, but I just can't see it. Hes not rated by the fans there and I expect he will be back on the bench shortly. Hes done enough this season for another good team to have taken notice and play that role for them. On the flip side hes getting enough game time to be fully match fit for us which is the important thing.
  4. Caught McTominays game tonight, brilliant performance from him. I'd like to see him move somewhere hes really appreciated tho. Dont think he's ever going to get that at Man u. I reckon he's done more than enough this season to get a good move and be playing in a position that suits him. Driving from midfield.
  5. I just got mine yesterday, looks great. Took a walk down the road in it. Everyone was loving my look and I appreciated their reactions.
  6. See, exactly as I said. McGregors place is under threat. Now look hes lost his place
  7. Well I think were all posting our individual interpretations, unless your posting on behalf of a collective Your only looking at it from one side. Look at @eez-eheez-eh's post above. Hes just invented two perspectives from me out of thin air? In general people need to chill out, its not a slight on Steve Clarke discussing the Scotland team and players on the Scotland pages.
  8. I think you might need your eyes tested mate. I've never said McGregor needs dropped. Only his place might be under threat after the euros. As for championship jobber, I genuinely have no idea what your on about?
  9. Donno man, I mean anyone offers any kind of constructive criticism they get constantly "i agree with Steve clarke and whatever he says or does" Its like a cult and makes these pages pretty dull.
  10. Yeah I remember the Leicester links as well. Its a a short career tho, if you can double that wage
  11. The McGregor reaction reminds me of that guy on YouTube with his teary defence of Britney Spears
  12. Its better to talk about football rather than childish insults. So yes its an improvement. The first part anyway. Tbh generally your posts are quite emotional and childish im perfectly happy if you wish to ignore me.
  13. Tbh this is a welcome post. Someone who wants McGregor playing but is rational. Why do you think he never left Scotland? Just out of interest? Lack of options and just didn't want to? Either way he would have been a better player for it. Could easily have seen him playing in a better league.
  14. That doesn't make any sense, but ok yes as long as he or anyone is playing international football they will be playing international football. Nothing like you said but OK.
  15. Indeed, I chose to ignore your childish comment. So when you say "He'll be a starter for us until he calls it quits". You don't mean that he'll be a starter for us until he calls it quits then?
  16. McGregor is a good player for us and has been for a while. Some of these opinions tho you would think he was a multiple world player of the year If others are doing well in better leagues then we should give them the chance. Its not about loyalty, playing for Scotland is an honour. Its about putting the best team we can on the pitch. I'd say McGregor might be under threat as a starter in the near future.
  17. Not sure, dont think its either tbh. Hes got a point tho, the over rating of players on here is ridiculous. Mcgregor of celtic (note not real madrid), is apparently so good he can play into his 40s at his discretion And is so irreplaceable its crazy to even discuss it. Thats McGregor..... of celtic. Its nearly as bad as the dykes opinions.
  18. No I don't think he is, but I think gilmour certainly is. Or McTominay or mcginn could also play the McGregor role opening up that slot for Ferguson. You can't really compare the Scotland form against players not getting selected. So you have to take a step back and think every once in a while. Who is the players who should be playing? For me I think after the euros McGregor might not start as often as he has been. Every good team is always looking for ways to improve. Weve got a cracking midfield and plenty of options, its not surprising there's plenty of opinions.
  19. Cmon now that just ridiculous, you think McGregor should just keep playing into his late 30s regardless of what any other player does? There needs to be a bit of common sense on here. And less defensive reactions. Suggesting players to replace others doesn't mean anyone hates players or doesn't rate them. Personally I think McGregors days of being a nailed on starter for Scotland should be under threat. Not that he's doing anything wrong. Just that others (ferguson, gilmour) are younger and doing it at a higher level.
  20. Thats down to lack of credible opposition, rather than being a good international striker.
  21. Pretty much it exactly, hes not very good. At international level he's done well at times. Nothing against the guy, he gives everything he has for Scotland. But hes just not got the ability needed for an international striker. He will be in the squad, but thats where we need players coming thru just now.
  22. Either may we'll have, if I were him I would have chosen Copenhagen. I've spent a bit of time there over the years and always enjoyed it. Reckon it would be a great place to live. If he can get in the team then its a great move for him and us.
  23. Im not sure whether he's going to have a career ruined by injury or not. But all I can say is I was blown away by how talented he was when he was at Aberdeen. Hopefully he can overcome the injuries and we could have a hell of a player on our hands.
  24. I would disagree but I see what your saying, I agree hes more of a slow burn than the likes of Tierney. But id say he could have made that move any time over the last 5 years. And I think he would be a better player for it. Also the argument that his midfield competition all play at a higher level wouldn't be a factor.
