  1. I ended up having £100 on Orang Outan! Doh! It finished last and was 81.5 lengths of the winner!!!
  2. Orang Outan 4pm at Kelso One of my best mates dad has a large share in this horse and I've been told by him that it has been working well on gallops, one of the best horses in the race and should be placed. This is my first horse bet of this year and I have £25 each way on it at 7/2. I just decided to take it each way as if it comes 2nd or 3rd I only lose a couple of quid! I also put £18 on it to beat Loom in a match bet at 5/6. I see its now 11/4 best odds!
  3. I can honestly say I've stuck to the first 3 perfectly The ones I've not really stuck to are I havew betted on games I know f##k all about and there has ben night's I've betted just for a bet basically! Also, I took Ayr at 4/11 to beat QP at home and we drew, it was such a short price. All in all though I am happy with by betting so far this year (even though I am down a fair bit), I will hopefully soon be in profit!!
  4. Alloa have done me for £121, but I was up £27 today anyway!
  5. My rules for the new year is: I will start writing down my stakes and wins in a notebook. I did it all last season and it showed profit, but this year I've kept losing a lot of the time so I've stopped I will only bet on football (I have done for a wee while to be fair) So no roulette, puggies or horses. I will never bet on the Championship in England (Done this for a while also - for me its just so unpredictable) I won't bet on games I know f**k all about I will go on teams I think will win, there's times I think a team will win, but lots of people fancy the opposition so I too go with the opposition I will try and keep bets to singles, doubles and trebles, if not certainly perm bets. I won't let a big price put me off a backing a team if I think they are going to win I am going to stop betting on teams at such short prices, no value in it I won't bet every night just for the sake of it (On a Monday night for example I will say to myself would I have betted on this team if they were playing on the Saturday?) I see some people are going to stop betting on their own team. If I am confident of us winning I will take us. If I am confident of Ayr losing I will take Ayr to lose. :D
  6. I don't want to be held responsible if it doesn't get a place but I felt I should spread the news. I see its now 6/1 at hills. I got 15/2.
  7. Orang Outan 3:45 at Kelso (15/2 available) My mates dad is one of the owners of this horse. He's part of "The Monkey Syndicate" He spoke with the trainer on Thursday and he said that it should go well and has a great each way chance. I've put £10 each way on it at 15/2. My mate and his dad are away to Kelso today to watch it. The way I look at it is why would my mates dad want to go all the way to Kelso from Ayrshire if it wasn't going to go very close! Also its the only horse he owns thats running there today.
  8. Well if I had put 20 grand on Luxemborg I'd be a millionaire!!
  9. Luton Town, I had them on all my bets!
  10. Setareh each way in the 8.30 at Hamilton for me. First time i've betted on a horse in ages. I got it at 25/1.
  11. In Ayr's last 10 matches I have betting on one outcome for each of the 10 games. 8 times out of the ten I have been correct so made some good profit from this.
  12. Bradford cost me £35 on Saturday, they were winning until the 90th minute! Acht well, £22 on several bets this weekend. £33 returned, can't complian. So Bradford cost me £35 East Fife and Chester cost me £35 (both drew) Leeds cost me £12 Leeds and Hearts cost me £10 Oh what could have been!
