  1. This thread is hilarious, really cheered me up on a Monday morning, thanks
  2. Been thinking of getting into this as well, I'm on the lookout to purchase a decent second hand kayak. We spent a day out on a kayak whilst on holiday in Dubrovnik and loved it. I live in the Highlands so plan going out on loch morlach and a few other loch's/canal in Inverness area, Nairn/Black Isle too.
  3. Dropping Shaw to the bench, with the form he's on, was a mistake. Preserving with a flailing Stephen Kelly and not swapping him out earlier was a mistake. Hindsight is a great thing, hopefully Hughes learns from these errors. If we'd scored the first goal we'd have won that yesterday imo. There's other big games to come and Hughes is learning more about the squad he's got, their abilities and limitations.
  4. Tbh I was quick impressed with a lot of our play yesterday, despite the scoreline. Hughes took the bold decision to drop Shaw to the bench and start with McKay & White. Shaw's form has been a revelation of late so to drop him was brave. For me, with the use of hindsight, it didn't work. White was largely anonymous, only once I can remember him holding the ball up and laying it off to Andreu. It was an experiment that didn't pay off, White imo is better used as an impact sub, when we're chasing a goal. The insistence on ALWAYS playing a deep lying playmaker (Vigurs/Kelly) instead of sometimes a ball winner, or sitter is costing us too. It just wasn't happening for Kelly yesterday (he's meant to be highly rated by Gerrard but frankly I'm not convinced) but Hughes took the decision to preserver with him and he just got worse and worse. Every move seemed to breakdown when the ball went through him. It was a judgement call and again, with the benefit of hindsight Tillson or Draper should have come on earlier. Then the subs, Paton, Hylton, McKay off for Lakin, Gardyne, Shaw. It was all like for like, we didn't change anything up, in fact we lost some attacking verve as Hylton and McKay were linking up quite well with the midfield. This sounds like I'm not happy with Hughes but I am, there's been an improvement in attacking intent and general link up play and he's trying things to shore up that defence, Hjelde has been a great addition. Yesterday against united I thought we were the better team and were unlucky not to have scored the first goal. Hughes took some chances and gave a few players an opportunity yesterday, it didn't work and some of the players let him down, hopefully Hughes learns from this.
  5. It's just cruel that the pubs are shut, great victory Scotland
  6. Imo we've looked good, especially in second half until we went a goal down to what was a horrible and easily preventable goal. The decision to not take Kelly off after he's been poor all game has cost us. I'd has left McKay on and taken white off too but Laidlaw, Morris, Hjelde, Naismith, Hylton have all looked sharp.
  7. Kelly is a mess and getting worse, he needs off especially as he's now booked.
  8. FFS a Kelly corner then we're a goal down, get him hooked now Yogi.
  9. Really liking the shape and way County are playing today. Kelly's been meh and White's been a bit of a passenger but he's coming in to it more now. Hopefully no brainfarts from defenders
  10. Really impressed with Hylton, his directness is what we've been missing for years.
  11. Hjelde with a fresh air kick, what's wrong with our centre halves?
  12. Iacovitti out Watson in please Yogi. Hopefully we can punish DU from set pieces.
  13. I can't help it, I'm a fan of Watson, I just don't think Kettlewell or Hughes (so far) have given him much of a chance, other than a few games at right back before Naismith was available.
  14. Must admit as a fan it's nice to get the chance beat local rivals in the lower leagues and go to other grounds and have a pint & a chat with supporters of other clubs. After a relegation season it's a welcome change to win a few games and allow yourself to feel a little confident going into the weekend, sometimes even put your own team to win on a coupon.
  15. After watching the highlights of the win over Accies, it was telling how pish Iacovitti was by the bollocking Morris was giving him for, Iacovitti's part in the Kelly OG. I mean Iacovitti follows his man to near the halfway line to challenge for a ball then when the Accies player lays it off, Iacovitti just gives up on him and fails to track his run and eventual cross. Morris is dragged across the pitch to try and cover, makes a good block but can't stop the second cross, which results in the goal. Hughes needs to get a hold of Iacovitti and ensure that he gets his finger out. The mistakes he's making are costing us goals but imo they're not about ability but aptitude and concentration.
  16. Where's Lakin gone, I thought he was coming onto a good game.
  17. Is the Accies stream alright, how much is it for tonight's example of exhibition football?
  18. Oli Shaw to score, Iacovitti to make a **** of defending a cross, resulting in a score draw. Not sure if I can bring myself to watch this, it'll no doubt be a horrible game of football. Both sets of fans won't give a toss on the style of the win, all that matters is the win.
  19. Decent when on the ball liked to run with it a bit, he was very lightweight at the tine and was easily roughed up by the opposition so he didn't play that much.
  20. The highlights of our window are surely Naismith and Hjelde in, we're now infinity stronger in both full back positions, which should hopefully help the central defenders. Stewart has missed more chances than he's scored or created for others, Hylton has looked good in the wide left berth so no great loss imo. What we could really do with is McKay chipping in with a few goals.
  21. After watching the rerun of the second goal, Iacovitti needs dropped. Watson would at least have blocked the run if he couldn't win the header. Iacovitti's mistakes are costing us badly.
