Stuart Petrie has surely been approached, with regards to this position. Without a shadow of doubt one of the best performing managers in Scottish football, these last few years.

He kept that shower of shite up, at the cost of eye-bleeding long ball football. I have no idea if that’s an achievement or not.
As bad as the squad was imo, with the addition of Naismith and a replacement for Reid in January, it was comfortably better than Hamilton's so avoiding relegation was a must, 10th place and avoiding the playoffs was a bonus.

That’s Hughes gone, officially. 90% sure somebody has been offered the job.
Yeah, seeing the tweets ping up on my phone. Well that's certainly cheered me up on a crappy Monday
Fair play to Hughes, he seems a decent bloke, he had a job to do and he did it. Best of luck to him going forward, now it's onwards and upwards for County hopefully.

Agents at work in the lead up to the cup final. Ideal.
Losing Boyle for 500k would be horrible. Irvine, while he’s been good, hasn’t been the revelation I expected in the middle of the park. I’d definitely keep him but wouldn’t break the bank.
I know a couple of Hibs fans and they'd said how impressed they'd been with Irvine so I'd assumed that that was the general opinion.
As a County fan I've kept tabs on how he's been getting on since he left us. When he signed for hibs my impression was that he'd use you to showcase what he can do, then get another gig in the English championship/EPL.
Is he likely to stay or leave this summer?

As much as Canning had his faults to say he was one of the worst managers in Premier league history is just plain silly.
What's happened to Canning, I remember him as a young center half at Ross County, is he still in the game, or moved on to something totally new?

I was very impressed with Ross County's production, also thought Aberdeen's was decent too.

Must admit I liked Charlie Lakin, he linked up well with Paton and also Hylton and Shaw too but that quartet never saw much game time in the last three months.
I think Leo Hjelde could develop into a TOP class footballer, he's only 17 years old remember. I don't think us, celtic or the player himself would have expected him to have played the amount of first team games that he managed.

Stephen Kelly returns to Rangers after his loan at County.

With Hamilton finally going down before a ball was kicked today, the results will work out well.
Killie will scud Dundee over 2 legs in the play-off and Ross County will be comfortably down next season.
Please bookmark.
Welcome back to the top division, if Hearts can manage to replicate Dundee United's 9th place finish, you will be doing well, especially with Neilson as manager.
If County do go down next season, one thing is for sure, we will not bitch and greet like the some of the Jamboree fans have, embarrassing stuff.
You still can't understand that maybe if you'd punted Levein earlier then there's a damn good chance your team would have won more than 3 league games. But aye, it's everyone else's fault isn't it

That’s fair enough tbh as I have seen little of County this season tbh other than keeping an eye out for Hjelde during Sportscene highlights. Was more thinking of his time at Caley/Falkirk
He looks like a really good player, for someone so young. He's had to play a LB for most of the games but done it really well.
Can we have him back?

Fair play to the guy. He’s an interesting character and tries to play decent enough football with clubs with usually not massive budgets* so will be interesting to see how County get on next season.
*Yes I am aware County usually offer more wages than those around them but its hard to get folk to move up there.

Hughes as others have said seems a decent bloke, but I'm not convinced her plays football the "right way".
What exactly are you basing that ludicrous statement on? His brand of hoofball is eye bleedingly bad, believe me I've watched nearly every game since he came to County, it's the quadruple substitutions every match (up until these last three games) that have driven me mad, his team selections/tactics have been that bad every game required a total overhaul to salvage something.
He comes across as a decent bloke and I don't wish him any ill will, I just don't want him managering my team.
His contract is up, if Falkirk want him he's all theirs imo.

My f**king ar$e he's been terrible, everything County have done recently have been despite John Yogi Hughes, not because of him.
Get him to f**k away from my club ASAP

Well thank f**k for that

McLean is one of the worst refs in the league.

I still want Kelly off the field with either Draper or Paton on.

Suprised to read how much Stephen Kelly is getting it tight. He was superb for us, albeit in a league below
1 minute ago, No_Problemo said:Yup, f**k knows what County have done to him but his passing and shooting certainly weren’t issues last year.
Honestly, he's been utter pish.
We had Ewan Henderson on loan the other year, he was piss poor but Kelly is 10x worse. Needs far to much time to pick a (miss placed) pass, can't tackle, can't shoot.

I can't believe the amount of County fans who have said on the General County Thread, that they'd accept Hughes been given a new contract.
Everything we're getting recently had been despite John Yogi Hughes, not because of him.

Charlie Lakin is FAR superior to Tremarco at LB, wtf was Hughes thinking starting with Tremarco.

How the f**k does Kelly miss that chance!

Yeah I've heard that said too, but surely he's been approached to test this out. I mean, how many opportunities to manage a top division team is Petrie likely to get?
He's got a good strong County connection within his coaching staff at Montrose. Tony Bullock back up north for the bants too
