Truly awful that it was in your own hands and you only needed a draw, and you've shit the bed. Cheers for ruining all my fellow Ayr fans weekend
Aye, that's John Yogi Hughes for ya

Game over in Hamilton. Hughes has to go
There you go, FTFY
After the impact Lakin had from left back when we were toiling in the Hamilton game, the clown drops him for a 35yo perma injured Tremarco. It's the best thing that's happened to County the first half, Tremarco going off!
Now to get Stephen Kelly off too.

Tremarco subbed off injured already, Hughes is an idiot starting him in the first place.

Stephen Kelly is the worst player on that park, every time County have possession it breaks down because of him

I think a few clubs had asked him already, Falkirk were one. He's a bank manager so it'd take a hefty wage and even then he'd have no job security unless it's something daft like a 6 year deal
I don't mean to point out the obvious but I'm fairly confident that an offer of the position of team manager at Ross County, far exceeds that of rent a joke Falkirk in the seaside leagues.

He doesn't want to move to FT football as he's got a good job outside of football.
I'd certainly like to see us put that to the test.

What is the aim for County at this point? Just steady, relatively comfortable bottom 6 finishes with the occasional top 6 push and cup run?
I can't pretend to talk for anyone else but a bit of stability, mixed with a little progression is what I'm after. Relegation would be a hard financial pill to swallow, there's clearly a move away from total reliance on MacGregor's cash injections.
The squad requires refreshing, there's more quality in it than our current position suggests but it's aging. Going into this current season we were on a hiding to nothing with Randall and Reid/Tremarco as our full backs and it affected the team really badly. Naismith back at right back since January has steadied the back line immensely.
With a few more up & coming players introduced to the team I'd be happy.

Who you gonna get in instead then?I'd go for Stuart Petrie and his backroom team (Campbell &Bullock) from Montrose.
Certainly imo the Manager of the year in Scotland, what he's done with that Montrose squad in the last few seasons is nothing short of remarkable.

There's a lot of talk as if we were safe but we're FAR from safe from relegation. Can this Hughes team avoid defeat at Motherwell?
I must admit I'm not impressed with Hughes and if what we've seen from him, is what we're going to get, I'd rather we appointed someone else to manager the first team next season.
He seems a decent bloke and I'd far rather have a few pints with him in the pub than watch one of his teams play football. His line-ups, tactics and style of football are eye bleedingly bad. If we survive relegation this season, imo it'll be despite John Hughes, not because of him.

Paddy Bonnar tonight 'There has been a goal. But I do not know who scored it. It was one of the subs. I'll need to check my notes'.
Richard Gordon 'goal for which team Paddy?'
Bonnar 'oh, Celtic. It was a young substitute.'
That's the level of professionalism to aim for. This level of ineptness has been happening every show for years, yet nothing changes.
I'd love some other channel to get the radio rights to our national game, as because the know they're the only show in town we have to put up with this.

FFS Hughes, of all the players you take Spittal off

That's better St Mirren

We now have no left backs!
But we at least have a midfielder on the field who can shoot.

Not good sign for us. Hughes chases the points.
Yup, this match has got Accies goal, breaking from a County corner written all over it.

It sounds like At Mirren have downed tools and are handing Killie the 3 points so it has to be a win here from the perspective of both these teams.

Ahh Savage, you're back. Missed you on the DUFC thread.
Hopfully we start finding White from a goal kick a bit further up the pitch than just inside his own half, this 45 minutes. Tillson has looked pretty ropey, Vigurs and Gardyne struggling to get in the game and our defence is shitting it every time Hamilton bang a long ball forward - which is a problem because that's all they're doing.
Must. Do. Better.
That's Laidlaw punting balls straight out for an Accies GK now
This is so so bad...

You have to wonder what they practice all week because a team of strangers in a local park would pass through this County team.

This is shocking stuff

Great strike from Spittal, he's had a really good impact since his return from PT.

Kelly shitebags the tackle on the edge of the box, leaving Tillson to cover Kelly's man giving the fk away.
Get him to fcuk

Kelly and Vigurs in the same midfield still gives me the fear

I couldn't bring myself to watch the DU match but I noticed that Iain Vigurs was selected for the spfl team of the week, whatever the hell happened at Tannadice needs repeating!
I've not noticed anyone commenting how good Vigurs was in that game, can anyone who was brave enough to watch, confirm if Vigurs was decent even?
