  1. That'll just be the start of him taking people to Thistle
  2. Get the feeling we might not have heard the end of this, club possibly weighing up options of legal action, imagine this turned into another McKinnon tap up ha.
  3. We ain't ever going to get Jack Ross end of, he'll be on a couple of grand a week at Sunderland probably.
  4. Good to see McCall and Partick are getting a good thrashing at celtic Park. Ooze out any of the confidence the players gained from McCall joining then hopefully.
  5. Hes done a great job with little budget . move on and grow a pair . welcome him with open arms . look were you where when he join yous I was joking, although i am a bit annoyed with how the whole situation seemingly arose i am more than aware of the great job he done for this club over the last five years and has laid great foundations for the club to build upon if we somehow found ourselves under new ownership in the near future (which looks unlikely).
  6. Interesting what McCall does with Harkins at Thistle, presume he's injured at the moment as I don't recall him playing for them this season.
  7. So who's getting the inflatable snakes ordered for the 2nd November?
  8. Read somewhere that he said he'd 95% made his mind up by Saturday but allegedly our performance at Alloa made the decision more difficult. As I said at some point if he wanted to leave that much he should have walked away after the Inverness game last season instead of rocking the ship at Ayr so early in the season. Got the feeling at the time he couldn't be arsed with constant rebuilding anymore and it turns out that was the case.
  9. Anyone else starting to think McCall was tapped up in private well before the club was officially approached. Wonder if we could have a case to take it to the SFA bit like Morton did with Falkirk. Just all seems a bit too much of a coincidence for me how it all fell into place in the last couple of days at Thistle.
  10. Even if he was sacked beforehand Sunderland would probably still be due a compo fee likely bigger than our seasons budget. Plus he had the luxury at St Mirren of having lots of cash which meant they basically bought themselves the championship title with a squad which was far better than any of their challengers that season if i remember rightly. Also made me wonder actually how good a manager he really is and he's really struggled down at Sunderland, personally don't think he'd entertain coming to us, if he goes anywhere in Scotland it could be Hibs.
  11. I get the feeling he wanted to walk away in the summer but had no other job to go to so obviously didn't want to walk out of football again, in hindsight would have probably been better for all parties instead of jacking a job six weeks into the season. Cameron said yesterday that on his last contract renewal which i presume was the summer he insisted on this clause and Cameron believes he wouldn't have signed it if he hadn't agreed to the clause.
  12. Jack Ross at 20/1 i see, interesting, we starting a gofundme page for the Jack Ross compo for Sunderland then?
  13. Jesus Christ just seen the article on him, we'd be the kind of club who'd turn down someone like Owen Coyle because there's some junior league manager who's been recommended by a member of the board.
  14. Peter Houston with Sandy Stewart alongside for me. *Mark Kerr probably still pals with him from Falkirk era aswell.
  15. Controversial one but AstroTurf cause it could be hired out to a whole host of clubs and groups 6 days a week. Only thing is though would take a while to make money on it plus there are already a lot of schools round about which are used so would be effectively competing with the council over the likes of Belmont, Prestwick and Ayr Academy. Do you happen to know how much the club pays SAC for using Ayr Academy? Don't know if the likes of a small club shop in the town would work or not because let's face it unless you're an Ayr fan driving by Somerset you're unlikely to know there is a club shop hidden round the side. Also have to disagree with Cameron about the advertising, he doesn't seem to think it's an issue but I do. Should be a big billboard placed on the grass at Whitletts Road at the lights at St John's Primary advertising when the next home game is. Maybe in collaboration with one of our sponsors, similar to what Morton do with millions outside the ground. The only other way people who don't follow the club know when the next game is is by the tiny sign outside Somerset, which not many see because Somerset isn't on the main road. Just think the club needs to reach out more to the casual fans to turn them into more regulars.
  16. League cup sorry, my bad, you lot up there who won the Scottish Cup
  17. He'd probably want Billy Dodds as assistant i'd presume, those two would cost more than McCall and Scally have i'm pretty sure, also interesting McIntyre was at the game on Saturday, bit of a coincidence. On a more positive note though to the last 24hrs, i think this in itself proves how much as a club we've improved, i mean Jim McIntyre who managed a club to winning the Scottish Cup only 3 and a half years ago and he now wants to come and manage Ayr United. Call me a McCall lover if you want but well done to Ian for turning us into a club that is attractive to managers of that caliber. I know Dundee was a disaster for McIntyre but he incorporated a mess and as it turns out the mess still hasn't been sorted at Dundee when they've dropped down a league.
  18. Just seen that Kerr Crate got torn an absolute new one by Cameron haha, he's Somerset Boab the 2nd him.
  19. Ffs just realised we're going to have to put up with a month of this drivel potentially.
  20. Well safe to say i was correct about this, so far i've seen him say to people they don't know what they're talking about, he'll stick a billboard up in the town with Jamie Garret on it for the AU500 which will scare the shit out of children, called out fans having a go at him and also apparently they are no assurances that our loan players couldn't leave in January to go to Thistle.
