    Indeed it’s like anyone who is at the far end of any polarised debate, any failing you can associate to the ‘enemy’ is proof that they are pure evil. It just so happens to be true in rangers’ case.

    Tbf I have no doubt there are Celtic fans out there who will have enjoyed some schadenfreude over that story but suggesting they actively wish child abuse to happen to get one over the volunteers of the UVF is pretty extreme.

    Admittedly I can’t really remember Caldwell as a defender other than the France goal. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing.

    The article I read said the charge was basically of applying excessive force to someone without consent (definition of assault by beating apparently), to which he seems guilty of by the letter. I do believe that he was well meaning in what he did and it was just a clumsy, drunk and distasteful act. Was it sexual assault and worthy of criminal prosecution? Probably not IMO either but from what I read he does sound guilty.

    The best thing about Caldwell’s statement is that he’s talked himself out of ever getting a job in Scotland again knowing full well he’ll never be offered the national job. Good work, Gary.

    I appreciated the early series a lot more second time round. I loved breaking bad but never felt it was at the level of something like the sopranos. If the sopranos is ever on tv I will stick it on regardless of episode. Wouldn’t say the same for BB.

    Motherwell flying and us toiling is absolutely made for a classic mcinnes shitfest win. However I think injuries will determine that we lose this one. He could really use a result ahead of Celtic visiting.

    Totally agree. It’s another reason I hate these debates. Like I say everyone says everything they’re ‘supposed’ to say out of fear of their media career being ended over saying something clumsy. It’s just boring in many ways.

    I will be giving that a miss. Such a false debate, everyone says everything they’re ‘supposed’ to say during any debate on racism/sectarianism etc and then proceed to offer absolutely zero insight into the issue, refuse to condemn, we need to do more but not sure what it is etc etc.
