  1. If we're better than Rijeka, and he wasn't good enough for Rijeka, it makes me wonder why we're even entertaining the idea of signing him. Never know though, may have improved significantly since then.
  2. Won 2 - 0, Rooney then Maynard. Not heard any opinions on performance(s) yet. Stewart didn't start but replaced, McLean who went off with a knock?
  3. A reasoned and well thought out post. Get out of here!
  4. A fully fit Stevie May, that'd be a bargain. If he'll recover fully from that injury is a huge question mark however. We're doing well financially at the moment, but we're not so flush we can afford to chuck away £250k.
  5. Kairat were good, but we should have beaten them. We were definitely a match, and this team aren't nearly as prolific. I'd much rather have a wee jaunt to Bosnia though, so hopefully Siroki pap them out.
  6. Aberdeen vs Ordabasy Shymkent or Siroki Brijeg Definitely a winnable tie.
  7. I hope he scores 6 consolation goals against us next season.
  8. My thought prior to the Sunderland nonsense was that McInnes and Docherty would see out this current contract, and only sign a contract extension if the board kept their end of the bargain by delivering the training facilities. You can be certain if the training facilities don't materialise they will be gone, and no-one could blame them!
  9. The only way it would be worthwhile getting Christie in on loan, is if it's a two year loan and he can play against Celtic (plus a transfer fee also). By the end of it, he'd be available on a free transfer.
  10. Butthurt that I don't want Tommy Wright's turgid brand of football anywhere near my football club.
  11. For me it would be between Alex Neil, Alan Archibald, and Jack Ross.
  12. Rodgers strikes me as the kind of guy who wouldn't hold a young player back. Whether that means allowing him to leave altogether, or putting him out on loan again to develop, I don't know. I guess it depends on what Rodgers sees during preseason, and who they sign. If there's a possibility of a deal being struck, I'm sure we could sweeten the deal with a buy-back clause of some kind. Neither have I, I think he has a heart the size of a pea. That said, he has undeniable ability, and McInnes may feel that he's the guy to get the best out of him. We certainly have an incredible fitness/sports science staff. Evidence for that ranges from our ability to cope with near zero rest time for the past three years, to the exceptional lack of injury downtime this season. I wouldn't be surprised if we could bulk him up physically and mentally, and turn him into a player. I'm fairly certain Tansey will end up being backup. Or at least I hope so, as I've seen nothing to suggest he has the quality to improve us. I stand to be corrected though.
  13. I think we need two lineups for next season. For Celtic: Lewis Logan New Considine New O'Connor Shinnie New McLean Hayes Rooney ...and for everyone else: Lewis Logan New/O'Connor Considine New McLean Shinnie New/Wright New Hayes Rooney I'm hoping the 'New' on the right wing vs Celtic, and centrally vs everyone else will turn out to be Ryan Christie on a 10 year contract. I'd settle for Shaun Maloney though, in the short term.
  14. If the Daily Record have ever gotten something right in their entire existence, it was part of the "three things we learned" piece. Our midfield of Jack, Shinnie, and McLean is comfortably the second best in the country. Despite being a fan of Jack, he is the weakest and most replaceable of our midfield trio. If Cashinha thinks that building a team around him is the way forward for Rangers...well that only presents us with the opportunity to further excel next season.
  15. Was announced last week was it not? Along with Jamie Henry, Dylan Thomas Joe Nuttal and one other I can't remember. Mutch turns 20 in a couple months I believe, and from what I've read, McInnes is restricting the u20s to 18 y/o or under from next season. Any older players kept on but not ready for the first team will be put out on loan. Perhaps they think that'll reduce Mutch's chances.
  16. But where would the fun lie if we don't indulge their methadone fuelled rantings?
  17. ...+ you ...+ ..Kincardine ^ oldie but a goodie tbf
  18. Right, I can take a bit of banter, but I will never have some wee bellend call me a grass. I have, nor will I ever, complain on an internet. If had a serious problem with you I'd ask you to meet me for a pint, in which case it'd be sorted out with civility 99% of the time. I'm disgusted.
  19. Acts like a c**t, pretends it was someone elses fault, vague grasp on the english language. Aye...Hybee.
  20. I thought that every single Hibs fan I met and spoke to before, and after, the semi final were dead-on. So either I was extraordinarily lucky that day, or this board is populated by vintage grade puddle drinkers.
  21. Of course we all care more about Aberdeen. My position on the matter is a pragmatic one. If they qualify for Europe, that provides them another carrot for attracting quality players on top of their existing financial advantage. Keeping them out of Europe for as long as possible increases the chance they go into liquidation. Of course if they are banned from Europe, I'd like them to finish 3rd just to watch the utter heads gone. There would be riots, and petitions, and the media implosion would be hysterical. Every day a new depth would be delved to.
  22. If it was a choice of finishing 30 points behind Celtic but still being 10 ahead of the child stealers, or the dead club not getting into Europe, I'd choose the latter personally.
  23. St. Johnstone closing in on the filth as well. Assuming we beat the subhuman scum on Sunday, I wouldn't be averse to sticking out a youth team next weekend.
