  1. Maybe yer fellow Jambos are different than you, and have grander ambitions... From a Dons point of view, I can't think of anything worse than finishing behind that *** scum filth.
  2. I couldn't care less for the general snide comments. As far as I'm concerned, a player discovered, trained, and exposed to the wider world by my club should have the loyalty, and dignity to transfer for more than the pitiful 'development fees'. f**k Fraser, and f**k his ilk. The wee c**t is supposedly a Dons fan... Even if I had the ability of Iniesta, I wouldn't leave the Dons hanging with a £250k kick in the c**t. Training facilities are lovely, but it's not stopped us building an incredibly good team (relatively). It was greed, and f**k all else that led Fraser south. He's been incredibly lucky to have joined a team that made it into the money pit. That said, I'm a little young to remember the real judas', Wright and Robertson. I can't remember them as players, but the thought of them makes me boke.
  3. Like for like, I wouldn't say 'nearly impossible', I'd say it was full impossible. There isn't a player like him in the league. Even at Celtic, there are better players, but nothing approaching Jonny's directness. In fact, the only player I've seen in the (vile) English premiership that plays like Hayes, is Judas Fraser. He's an EPL level player, and it's absolutely not surprising we rejected a £500k bid. Derisory from a team I'd fancy us to batter.
  4. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Mackay-Steven is as good as Hayes, but imo he's the best, realisticly attainable, left winger we could get. I agree he's not direct in the sense that Hayes is, but very players are. Furthermore, I don't think Hayes' directness is necessarily something we must rely on. There're plenty of examples of top teams that don't rely on a 'Hayes'.
  5. Third best left back in the league after Shinnie, and Tierney, respectively. Allows McInnes to play Shinnie at centre midfield, without having to play Considine at left back. Also, would avoid us finding a midfielder as good as Shinnie...which would be even harder. Makes sense to me at least.
  6. Hayes has a year and a half on his contract. If it's true he wants away, then he better have a destination willing to pay our valuation. I think it highlights where we've come from, that the majority of our fans are expecting a ~£1m fee, and that the board would accept that. Let's not forget, we're debt free now, and have absolutely no obligation to sell. We should be looking for much more than that... If someone wants to make us a crazy offer, aye, we'll sell. Milne might not be the perfect chairman, but he's clearly an exceptional businessman, and no businessman undervalues their assets. I'm pretty confident that if Hayes goes we'll get an appropriate fee. However, given the way we do business, it's pretty much guaranteed we wont know the exact (approximate) value of the transfer until the books are made public. All we'll get is the usual tabloid shite. Let's say we make a couple mill, what about giving Celtic some sexy talk about Mackay-Steven, and Izaguirre?
  7. I was under the impression that arrangement ran out during the summer. As good as Hayes is, if we can get £2-3m for him, it's probably the right time to sell. He's only going to go downhill from here I reckon.
  8. I'm pretty sure McInnes will offer him a new deal tbh. He'd be a good signing for a mid-table side, fairly solid, but his lack of pace can leave him getting caught out. Very much doubt he'd sign for Rangers, he's a die hard Dandy.
  9. Already available with 40% off! That's some effect Cathro's had
  10. I wanted to come in here and give yis all some banter, but you all seem to be quite level headed about it. For what it's worth, yer not the worst team we've played this season, and I'm sure you'll put a run together eventually... I mean you have to be better than Kilmarnock anyway...aye...?
  11. Well we played against 12 men, so it'll give us some experience for playing Celtic and the new team.
  12. Most of that is reasonable, but doesn't give enough credit to the recruitment McInnes has done over the summer so far. We've addressed the lack of Plan B, and added both pace and height up front. Things are also looking good in goal thus far. Agreed we still need to improve the centre of defence however. Additionally, finishing behind Rangers would not be a 'bitter pill', it'd be completely unacceptable.
  13. Agreed. And any elbows to the face are purely reminicent of the bayonet which the former Jambos were so proud to use.
  14. Not at all, in fact, I'm a strong supporter of the open market. Not a fan of glorifying people dying for absolutely no reason what-so-ever.
  15. f**k knows why Hearts fans are so proud of their WWI team. A pointless war, fought between belligerents more interested in preserving their global power. If you want to praise and remember people, do it for those who fought the Nazis.
  16. My guess is: Lewis Logan Taylor Reynolds Shinnie O'Connor Jack McGinn McLean Pawlett Rooney
  17. Could understand McGovern (although I'd prefer to give Rogers his chance), but Ziggy Gordon? Nae chance. Firstly, we already have the best right back in the league. Secondly, he's a complete carthorse.
