  1. Don't think that's quite what happened pmsl. I'm sure that would've been made known if it was that bad.
  2. Would need to have the BFG up front to get on the end of one of Muirhead's crosses.
  3. I know it's optimistic / ludicrous but really hope we're going to sign another player.
  4. Totally agree. Alston had a bit of utility to be fair and done well at RM. had a bit pace, could find the net, would take defenders on and a decent cross.
  5. Get what folk are saying. But he seemed to brought into Alstons slot. Another gaffe by the gaffer. We didn't and perhaps don't need more centre mids. seem to recall Arabs saying that was his downfall with them too. Seemed to bring in CM and flooded starting 11 with them.
  6. Think Craigen can put a decent pass in, his delivery seems good. Can put good curl on it. But he's slow as f**k, and decision making seems pretty poor too. How many times on Saturday did he put it backward to Muirhead, who's delivery is very poor? Shows bad awareness IMO. If Sibbs does go, I'd like us to sign a like player to fill slot. We're already thin or creativity. the warning signs for Craigen were there early on when the Raith fans were very 'meh' about him going to us. Believe they seen more of him on the pitch to judge than we have. Waste of a wage IMO.
  7. Love the optimism chief, but we'll be doing well getting one. just hope it's a massive improvement on Craigen!
  8. Yes that's right. I could really check before posting, but where's the fun in that. Left in March according to meddle.
  9. don't think I've ever been as bored and unexicited in a January window. Even during the pressley years. iirc I even managed to get excited about Daniel Marceta, which turned out pretty badly. Mind that Andy Hawthorn who Elvis signed too - we've had our share of wallopers in January deals actually. ETA quick better meddle search it was Andy Hayworth. Was worth f**k all. Time for my meds!
  10. Tbf Mark Millar was great for us back when he first signed a permanent deal with us. Totally lost his way though, and never been a million pound player in his puff.
  11. Lots of value to add here, as per usual Mr Ritchie!
  12. The board are a total joke and I'm offended they call themselves suppporters. At best they're conservative and risk averse businessmen with zero ambition. At worst...well best I don't actually say it but we can all fill in our own expletives.
  13. Agreed. Between this and 'I've nuhin tae loose' gate, it's safe to say today's game was that bad that literally anything else to talk about is preferred.
  14. If we are signing Aird, for me has to be permanent deal. At least that way if he develops back into his earlier form he'll be an asset we can sell. Would work for him too if he's been told no future at Ibrox. In the loan market I think we should either be going for proven players in Scotland who've fallen out of favour at top flight teams but want to prove themselves, or powerful promising youngsters from down south. Youngsters at other Scottish clubs needing first team game time aren't likely to hugely better than our guys - who've been proven to not quite be there yet with Gallagher the exception.
  15. McGrandles still a young guy who's been out with a very serious injury. He was on fantastic form when we sold him initially but wasn't especially good when back on loan imo.
  16. Would rather it wasn't loan signings at all tbh. Aird is ok, but a bit small. How much better than Shepherd is he really? Just can't see him being the signing to help push us on.
  17. Would like to see Loy back, but we do have a number of forwards already on the books. Can't help blaming lack of goals on the midfield being shit. Give me goal scoring RM above all else. Would absolutely take Loy if it was a permanent deal though. We may well have been promoted or perhaps won the cup if that thug from queens didn't deliberately injur him in the QF at Palmerston.
  18. Would be keen to see Craigen and Watson go now too. Would keep Shepherd though, he might still have something to offer especially as the season goes on. Doing very well in the Development squad by accounts I've heard. Assuming that this frees up some wages, anyone any ideas on inward players?
  19. At least go with a realistic bait if you're going to go fishing. We don't need a left back and certainly not a defensive midfielder.
