  1. Exclusive interview with Peter Houston In it he outlines how he has laid the groundwork for leaving Falkirk, describes how alcohol sometimes helps, tips two current Falkirk players to reach the top of the game and compares Ian Cathro to Arrigo Saachi. (And names his favourite curry in line with having an Indian Sign over Easter Road) http://www.scottishfootballtips.com/interview-peter-houston/
  2. Anyone got any questions they would like to put to Peter Houston? We have an exclusive interview with him tomorrow so if there is anything you would like an answer to and don't fancy shouting it at him over the dugout nows your chance. Tweet to (@)FitbaTips to let us know. Or reply here if that's easier.
  3. So, is GN still in charge and playing on Monday night?
  4. Morton are shortening something rotten across the board v CLyde on Tuesday night. I can't have that, personally. The have lost Gasparotto, Johnston, McManus and Barr from last season. Arguably all of their best players. By all accounts they struggled to trouble Albion Rovers on Saturday and may well struggle again on Tuesday night. A couple of young fellas up front doesn't look particularly likely to cause much trouble as things stand. Gary Olive scored a few for Queens last season but that was with experienced people around him. From what I can see Morton have Tidser and Forbes from middle to front and everyone else is young, inexperienced and far from proven. Clyde +1 Asian handicap is 2.5 (6/4) Asian Handicap with bet365 and possibly going to lengthen even further if the current trend continues. From what I can see most Clyde fans were happy with their performance on Saturday even of they did eventually lose out after Killie brought their big guns on. Had they scored the penalty at 0-0 they likely would have won the match. By no means is backing Clyde with a + handicap a sure thing but I am at a loss to understand why Morton are shortening so heavily.
  5. Incredibly generous imo, add Rovers current good home form, their early season home form and form of their Jan signings and it looks a real goer to me
  6. Raith out to 2.7 (17/10) with Willes becomes an absolute must bet for me
  7. On +2.5 goals at Arbroath. Took it at 1.7 and it has predictably crashed. Again, should probably lay it off and take my 20% return but wheres the fun in that? ETA: Just checked again and it has shot back up and is available again @ 1.7 with Marathon Bet. ETA2: Actually I was looking at Abroath v Clyde and it hasn't shot back up at all and is a best 1.57 with totesport :|
  8. Got on Stirling @ 1.9 with Marathon Bet Best available now 1.86 or 1.83 with McBookie. I would be happy to go as low as 1.8 available with most firms. Alson on +2.5 goals at Ross COunty on Wednesday. It has drifted out to 1.95 and that's plenty for me. Looking hard at under 2.5 goals at Alloa at a big price of 2.5 with Betfair. Don't fancy Morton at 1.75 to be honest. EDIT: Under 2.5 been smashed right in now, 2.2 (6/5) now best and looking likely to fall more. Bit of an opportunity missed. I knew it was out of line, I should have went bigger than I did. I can already cash out for a 20% return
  9. lol Highly unlikely to get a FGS price in that game anyway so nothing missed. Good sign for when he comes back into the 1st team that he still has the goalscoring touch.
  10. Going to be on a goal in 0-15 minutes again tonight in the Dundee v Falkirk match. Lets see if they can make it nine game sin a row. @ 3.1 (21/10) with Willies
  11. I will check there in future. I was actually trying to be nice, originally. Must. Thicken. Skin.
  12. Must say I didn't expect that reaction. If I have offended any of you (other than the two who had a go at me for no reason) I unreservedly apologise.
  13. Would you believe I didn't have to use google. I already knew the most comprehensive stats page on this interweb machine, but there was no mention of a cup win in the 1970. 'Do you know what' I thought to myself, 'I'll go on to the Thistle page on Pie and Bovril' because there would be no more reliable place to get the info than that. 'Might even ingratiate myself a little with the yokels' I thought, foolishly. If that makes me a thicko well I'll be wider than the Maryhill Road. Though I must say, becoming the second biggest team in Glasgow has clearly gone to some of your heads. Not the friendly, welcoming and helpful demeanour I have come to expect from the west end of Glasgow.
  14. Good stuff. That tallies with the info I have. Have they not won it since 1921? A Thistle supporting pal of mine never tires of telling me they won it in the 70s, has a wee story to go with it. Was it the league cup?
  15. Got a wee question for ye guys. Have Thistle ever finished runner up i n the Scottish Cup?
  16. Wind a major issue too but. Weather forecast saying it will last until 16:00 now in Hamilton. COuld be goaless.
  17. No doubt about it. Had a header pushed onto the post on Saturday if the Accies twitter feed is to be believed. Can't be doing it this week though. Backing ICT to win and an Accies player to score seems illogical. With respect Welshbairn, I hope he goes at least one more game without scoring
  18. Howdy I had a wee xmas holiday and it probably came at a good time given my form this month. I say every year that I am going to miss out December as it is always a bloody nightmare but I can't help myself. I have managed to wipe out 27% of my annual profit this month so a happy bloody xmas for me. Anyway I have a few bets on for tomorrow night. I agree with Welshbairn. ICT look massive at NDP. They have won on their last 4 visits there too. The weather is obviously a major oncern though with the winds predicted to be 40mph+ at kick off. I am playing safe by backing them 0.0 Asian handicap which gives stake back insurance if its a draw. 2.4 (7/5) with McBookie Also going Celtic HT/FT @ 2.1 (11.10) with Coral Hearts look good too at 1.83 (5/6) but I am going to let that one go. Cue it being the only one that wins :| And big JGT could score for Accies but seeing as I am backing ICT I can't really be backing it. Previews will return for the weekend.
  19. I know lots pf people who have been playing that strategy and you are the first to say that they have clamped down on it. Interesting to see that they are finally doing it. They have been letting it go for years
  20. I have an explanation on my site that walks you through it. +0.5 prematch for me and will look for something in play, min 2/1, might go a bit greedy tonight and try and rescue December from the bookies pockets
  21. I have taken BTTS at Fenerbahce v Celtic after much deliberation. I got 2.05 with 888Sport but the best around now is 1.95 with Boylesports. The lowest I would go would be 1.91 I think. Also backed Bitton. Lustig and Boyata to score first @ 40/1, 50/1 (both bet365) and 66/1 (Paddy Power). This isn't really advisable to be honest but if one of them scored first and I hadn't backed them at those prices I would go on a heavy tilt.
