That what I find strange unless someone has come in for him but the club brought in 2 players that play his position, probably half expecting him to leave, ultimately the move doesn’t happen. But how hard can it be for a club captain to hang on 6 months to have some respect for a club that has essentially gave him the platform, disappointed but if that’s how he wants to do let him but don’t play him.

He is. Also trying to renegotiate the contract to discard the extension. Sounds harsh as he’s the captain and probably one of the best players at our club. But nobody is bigger than the club, I wouldn’t play him again and cost him his euros place.

Interesting he talks about the competition as such in training maybe highlighting the younger and/or fringe players weren’t good enough or able to compete in training for starting positions etc. Must say a could listen to this guy all day long puts a smile on my face everytime GA > Robbo.

Both signings don’t scream exciting to me but it’s still essentially an upgrade on what’s here for 6 months. If I remember correctly Roberts was pretty decentish at ICT and ended up back down south and earned a move to Ipswich (championship at the time), he’s got ability but clearly not shown it in his last few moves but it is slightly baffling to sign someone who can’t get a game for hearts but if we signed him last summer we’d have been happy with it. Nolan isn’t a stand out name either but he’ll be pretty solid and looks a complete hard nut. I think we’ve got enough to beat the drop and build again in the summer, let’s just hope both players can make an impact over the course of the next 6 months and maybe longer.

Crawford signing is on more of the contract situations at the club rather than incomings, defo 1 incoming (no names or position) could be another which is a free agent so may not be tonight he’s signed, unless we are after others. Would he happy with Ethan Robson he’ll be in a far better team with us than the type of Dundee and clearly has or had potential which is still to be reached.

Most likely what happens with everyone we sign from other clubs on a “free” like lawless for example.

Add some depth and strength to the middle of the park, be pleased if we can sign the boy from Middlesbrough and he has a good 6 months and hopefully another attacking minded midfielder if the club are feeling ambitious.

Carson doesn't expect to play again this season. There was a lot of doubt if he’d even play again after the DVT injury really feel sorry for the guy but I’m sure he’ll be back (next season) he’s a fighter. Top keeper as well.

I’m happy with this if it’s for competition to give Campbell a boot up the arse and keep Maguire pushing who I’ve been critical of this season and the past and didn’t think he’d make the grade but I thought he was excellent last night. Think this will be a replacement for Crawford which I don’t know how I feel about as we still have Donnelly and O’Hara to return, ideally I’d like someone to come in and claim a starting spot ahead of Polworth.
