I didn’t actually think Twardzik was that bad he had a lot of good games and helped up finish 2nd. Certainly better than Hollis and Nielsen that season. The game against Celtic he was also outstanding.

He was my right winger one of my favourite players to watch in a well shirt.

If true he could prove to be an excellent signing. Same kind of player as Ariyibi with flair and lightning quick that creates loads of chances. Would add that more quality in the wide areas I suggested earlier I think. Won’t get too overly excited but we aren’t linked with players usually so never know shall wait and see what happens this week regarding signings.

There’s no way we should be allowed to part with big dec this window. If he’d been here for another season we’d be talking about one of the best defenders of the decade for us here. He is slightly older so some of these moves can be life changing for him as he’s pretty much been an average Scottish player jumping from club to club and had a pretty hard last 5 years. If someone offers in the summer I’d reluctantly let him go only for 1.5 million+ we need to stand firm and get what we are owed.

Basically just make clubs aware he’d be available at a price and get him and his agent talking to clubs. I’m sure we’d get a fee of around 200-300k for him. It’s not like selling him would cost us any money (league position wise) as Carson is just as good if not better. I do understand your point though why change if it’s working.

I’d have thought we’d expect maybe 3/4 fresh faces to brighten up our very good squad and get some of the younger prospects out on loan. We 110% need a striker everyone knows that, we lost an important(ish) player in Cole who needs replaced. Our wingers have been pretty hot and cold (Hylton in my opinion has been the best out of all), James Scott has the potential to do it for us and turn it on at times but I think we need to add some quality in the wide areas as an injury to any would hurt us. Ilic coming back could be like a new player, same with Sloth. Some will disagree here but if Gillespie isn’t going to sign a new deal then I’d sell him and get some cash. Get Carson in as first choice and a back up on a short term deal with Ferguson coming back in the summer to challenge Carson. So to me I’d say as it stands we need a striker, a winger which is only 2 but we may see outgoings or injuries that require us to get back into the market.

Seeing the chatter of the lad from Bournemouth (my English team) having watched a few of their u23 games he’s an excellent player can score goals and lightning fast, so could prove to be a good option. As mentioned previously he did okay at Killie when played with a few stunning goals but struggled for starts and seems to be similar to his time at Gillingham. However at this point I’m willing to be very positive about this signing as it won’t cost too much and there won’t be much in that market to work with, always hard at this time. We have a habit of making loan players very good.

I hope he’s not offski. A player I’ve been really impressed by in many games. Just needs to be a bit more consistent, but definitely the making a good player and incredible skill.

My TOTD Randolph Tait Hutchinson McManus Hammell Ojamaa Lasley Turnbull Murphy Moult Higdon Arguably Kipre should be in infront of McManus but the big man was an important player for us for many seasons this decade especially in our key years.

Potential for some extra money to be added to our transfer kitty coming from a sell-on clause from Ben Heneghan.

What’s the script with Christian Ilic as well. In his first few appearances he seemed a player with a lot of intelligence, IIRC he had already signed for someone a very good Romanian team but then he choose to sign for us. There were also question marks over his position as prior he had mostly played as a left-back which I would’ve been keen to see him do for us. Seems like one that has been hampered by injuries and will just fizzle out which is a shame really as he is still young and could turn out to be decent.

It’s either we’ve not got much to choose from or maybe we are being pretty specific in what we need and aren’t just going to sign anyone who looks like they could do alright.

Couple posts back mentioned Ariyibi signing for us. What a player he was, imagine him in this team right, immense player, I like Hylton a lot but he has more to give still and I think Ariyibi is a level above the players we have at the club regarding his position.

That movie doesn’t seem to be coming to much affect this season. Teams like Hearts, St Mirren, St Johnstone etc who were all struggling are teams that wee drop points to regarding a team on horrible form but we’ve managed to change that this season. Not often we beat hearts home and away in a season. I’m quietly confident for Sunday for some reason, don’t usually get this feeling when playing the ugly sisters.

Chris Long’s run that led to our disallowed was a thing of beauty, good performance from him with more to come. That goal should give him the confidence to go on and score more. Just to add how good is Hylton, been saying since the start how good he is, firmly showing it now.

Tbf I thought Polworth should’ve been dropped to see what O’Hara could do. Polworth has been excellent for us but maybe no so effective in the past few games before last night as he was outstanding last night, that pass for Scott was absolutely sublime.

I’ve actually not heard much be sure to update as today goes on. Suspect we’ll be after a striker, winger and defender but can’t see us signing all 3. 2 at most.

Ilic seems to have a very smart footballing brain and on his day would run a mock. However Seedorf has pace and raw talent, when on his game he could play equally as well. I think all our winger options are good players and capable of being starters. Hylton is very very exciting and looks like he could play a pivotal role for us this season.
