Looking forward to seeing who partners El B. I'd guess it will be Hippo. Maybe a bit out of position for him just now but having a wee goal machine next to him would allow him to play to his strengths rather than being the out and out striker.

Sounds about right. Potentially asking him to be a workhorse for Faissal, if he can continue the work rate at the levels to what he's managed in his first two games then you can see that being a productive pairing.

I fully expect Falkirk posters to jump all over the workhorse comment about Hippolyte.

  2. Getting boring. Everyone is too settled. They are having to pad an hour out with some shite beat boxing attempts. Original Jack is the only one worth watching the now.

Lie detector tonight might get it out of this slump.

  3. I'm looking forward to watching us play with two very attacking full backs for the full season. Good balance and looks like it will trouble a lot of teams in our division. Means there will be a responsibility on the wider midfield players to cover, Higginbotham has done this really well for Williamson for a while now. Need the same for Longridge. Cardle wouldn't have fitted into this way of playing and probably why he's been let go.

It'll be interesting when we have a full match ready squad and not playing two wingers up front.

Difference is, Hippo has proven at two consecutive clubs now that he disappears when effort is required. I wouldn't take bets on similar if I was a bookie.

Car crash thread again the past day or so. Surprised at DeeBairn getting grief, one of the more credible from that group but I probably shouldn't be.

Jack Ross took him to St Mirren with top tier football in mind so he obviously thinks he's good enough for the level above, but obviously Alan Stubbs has seen something he doesn't like.

He's a risk but similar to Higginbotham when we heard similar reports of him from other supporters. AJ seems to have got the best out of Higginbotham and hopefully he does the same with Hippolyte. I expect him to be inconsistent (otherwise why is he playing at our level) but he does have that ability to win you a game on his own.

You miss the fundemental point here, he's with us now.

That's important because once they get it (Pars) there is no way back.

He'll shine with us no question.

We're a unit and there's no room for slackers because if you don't try you're tossed aside like grog oot a car windae.

That's put me right off my square sausage roll.

How was Shipman brought it back from the dead (going by the clip from tomorrow)?

He wanted to go with new Laura but she preferred new Jack. She wanted to go with Paul but he preferred old Laura. They've just had to make do with each other.

I think Alexandra is by far and away the hottest thing in there. Keeping that as a fall back is incredible, Adam will be well proud.......RIP.

Aye I’m fed up of every show becoming “the Essex show.”

    I blame TOWIE for that.

Genuinely could not tell you where people are from on the show and don't see the relevance.

Am I the only one who doesn’t think the new Laura is that good looking??

I think the old Laura is better.

I'm with you on that one.

Jack patching Laura for a chance with her is baffling, but Dr Alex trying to get in about her over Alexandra is astonishing.

Can you conclude though that this is an element of your support that needs to be dealt with?

It's an element of support that the club and police are always working to deal with. We have seen several reports in the past of bans for racial behaviour in our support and I would imagine all incidences and bannings are not reported nor in public knowledge.

I'm not sure what point you are making here.

Hippo is never a forward, he wanted to play there and was given the chance with us but was more effective out wide

He is a cracking player at this level but can be very stop start and not make the effort to get himself into the game, seen him so many times being lazy then the crowd get on his back and he ups it for 5 mins, tho that usually is a few tackles and one is a booking which he is very prone to.

Hippo will get abuse from us, its how the rules are, which is a pity as on his day was a cracking player for us, same applies to Higgy but he is an eejit full stop

AJ got the best out of him playing against plumbers, personal trainers, joiners etc that's like saying Jeremy Kyle is effective in life skills

We have all seen these strikers show outstanding goals per game in the seaside leagues when they are full time v part time, its  judgement time now when its a level playing field.

As for Dundee, I really dunno why they didnt free him/pay him off as that's effectively what they have done unless their is a clause in his loan contract of some sort or fee if you want to sign him after it, tho kinda sounds like Dundee gave him daft money and he would be silly to leave and Dunfermline are making a healthy contribution that no other club would

Get used to Louis twinkle toes and no end product, thats what he does, tho is capable on a day or two of it clicking, more than often it doesnt

I think he is one of 3 or 4 who could get sent off against us in our games, he does go a bit OTT and doesnt like criticism even when he is in the wrong.

I really didnt want him signing on again...cheers for taking on his wage demands we wouldnt

    Oaft

  11. Georgia's lost the heed anyway; having high morals but being a selfish wee cow hasn't quite worked out for her.

I wonder how it's edited for the telly. I'm no sure someone could or would be as much of a gullible doormat as Sam. I reckon they are better than we see and stubbornness and £50k has kept them in there but it's edited for drama.

Anyways, the carpenter, what's he doing in there? He's the same age as me and I always think during the episodes that they are entertaining for an episode a night but f**k spending real time with them, they'd be far too irritating. Stick on that the carpenter and gilfy Laura will end up a couple and new Jack will be on to whichever one of the new girls he wants; I suspect Steph.

  12. Michael Paton, though positive I reckon is being underrated here. In the first half on the League One winning season Michael Paton, Faissal and Cardle were unplayable and out on a level above anything else in the division. He carved chance after chance every game at that time. He should still be among the best players in that division.

Decent Championship player but not good enough to make you a title contender.

Will look magic one game then will go missing for a few. Nice guy but lazy sod now and again.

Cardle has purple patches then disappears. His final ball usually poor as is his decision making.

These are fair comments. Talented players, if they weren't inconsistent they would not be spending so much time at the same level of football Dunfermline and Falkirk play at.

    Dunformerbairns Castoffletic

    4 ex Falkirk right enough.

No sure cast offs are correct. Falkirk offered Louis Longridge a contract and he chose Dunfermline. Kallum Higginbotham got his big move to Huddersfield and met us on the way back down. Similarly, Hippolyte got his opportunity at potentially playing at a higher level than Falkirk at St Mirren which hasn't quite worked out. James Craigan could be described as a cast off maybe aye.

  15. I'll be happy enough with Hippolyte. Especially as we likely won't be relying on him to be our primary goalscorer now that Faissal has returned.

I was getting worried it was going to be one of those seasons where we're going to watch us struggle to break down and score against teams utter shite teams.
