A cup match (I've no idea which) between Cowdenbeath and Dunfermline in 1920. Dunfermline played in hoops between 1919 and 1921.
Referee cutting about in a suit jacket, shirt and tie with his shorts on. Proper.

Williams utter guff tonight. Hammered by Wilson who, in reality, was only slightly less guff.
Easily the worst match of the tournament so far.
Wish I was guff.

The first four frames of O'Sullivan's match were incredible, made it look so damn easy.
Personally, I can't stand either Murphy or Carter. Both are so dull to watch.
Looking forward to McGill v Higgins.
Taylor claiming the frame is safe when only one snooker is required really annoys me, every player will play on and is capable of getting one snooker, and having Virgo back screaming "where's the cue ball going?!!!!!" is infuriating. The UK Championships with Davis and Hendry doing the commentary was brilliant, god knows why the BBC stick them in the studio and give us Taylor and Virgo. We still have the horrors of Thorne returning for the World Championships in April/May.
Turn over to Eurosport. Far superior coverage, Neal Foulds is miles ahead of all other snooker pundits.0 -
Two big games today.
Hopefully Higgins and Murphy come through, two of the few that can challenge the pelican when in full flight.

Not necessarily a random game, as I go down every so often, but going to Bramall Lane for the derby tomorrow.
If it’s half as good a game as the one between the two clubs at the start of the season it should be a cracker. Another United win would be just smashing.
I think that'd be a smashing derby to go to. Proper football derby against two relative even teams. Enjoy.

I'm pretty tolerant but I have one big one....using "of" instead of "have" in a sentence.
I could of done that.
Could of. Should of. Would of.

Theres a reason nobody in the top flight touched him, hes turned into a half arsed sand-dancer. If you can fire him and get him playing he'll stroll the league, if he thinks hes the main man and is too good for this league, he'll spend the whole game failing to do the spectacular.
This seems to be the general consensus. Built a squad brimming with talent and ability, just up to AJ and SC to get them to show that on a Saturday. Could be an entertaining season.

What about his daughter Raylin (aka Skin Diamond). Ever spotted at East End?
NB: Not safe for googling whilst at work.

Some folk getting their knickers in a twist because we've got Vinnie for the charity match. Celtic have actor fans in their team and as far as I'm aware, we have no celeb fans So it's only fair we can bring in 2 or 3 actors or w/e to even things out. I'd pay good money to see big Vinnie in a Pars strip!
The guy that was Spencer in Balamory used to be seen at EEP. More recently been driving buses for Stagecoach though.

Shame for Williamsom. Makes the need for defensive cover more pressing but it will be easy enough for AJ to cobble together a decent back four out of the remaining guys. He has shown so far that he won't sign players for the sake of it. Potter absolutely strolled through his last outings (though they were about a year and a half ago) - I really wouldn't panic if he had to be thrown in at some point.
AJ has used the subs pretty early and given the front guys plenty of rest/rotation.
I agree. I'd rather Potter had a wee run in the team than some kid from Dundee Utd on loan till xmas. His legs aren't the quickest but Big Ben's are, I'm sure they could strike up something half decent for a few games.

I'd have made changes too, its not just tiredness for the Peterhead game, but more going into the dundee game, or even Stranraer where we may see some fatigue, IMO its not worth it, however i understand AJ's reasoning and it is a difficult one, but its good to need to make these decisions because we are playing well.
5 games into a season and we're talking about professional sports people suffering from fatigue, really?

Talbot in. Lewis Martin can have a go at right back as well now

That was written by the Rangers supporting blogger (they've got a few bloggers for different teams, SampFan101 is Partick Thistle's for example) rather than an article by one of their "proper" writers.
Ah I see, that makes sense.

There is a thread on hibs.net about Faissal. I'd imagine that'd be the basis if the record's reporting.
Surprised they are interested in Hibs after the disgraceful "Hibs are the second team in a city that doesn't even like football" whiny article suggesting that "normal service has resumed" and so Hibs should have just sold Allan to Rangers as they are the big club.

Forfar are one of the teams that are probably in a weaker state than last season. They've still got a manager who knows what he is doing though and Stranraer and Brechin haven't just lost a couple of key players but lost managers in the process of doing good jobs.
Forfar are a good shout for a play-off place.

The whole of Scottish football is penniless. Won't be a huge reduction in wage, if at all. Ross County and Partick won't be paying a great deal more than any other full time club in any of the divisions.Because he's just dropped down two divisions. He isn't going to halve his salary for the live of Dunfermline. He has a mortgage to pay.

Why would Cardle be the player singled out to be on an impressive wage and be considered a marquee player?

He was a twat when he played for ict. Sure he got Mason sent off?
I remember him getting someone sent off in a game with ICT. I couldn't be sure who though, I was thinking Stephen Glass, but I it makes sense that it was Gary Mason.

I don't like Black that much but at this level would definitely do a job. Never going to happen though will be in far to much money for any club in our league and championship for that matter.
I read he had options down south and he was weighing them up although he did turn out for Berwick but that could be be cause of his connection to Cameron
Other than they have both turned out for Hearts, what is his connection to Cameron? Did he do a wee paint job on Cameron's spare room?

Ian Black anyone? If we got the version from Hearts he'd be a fantastic signing, seems to be going around training with different teams etc
How he is allowed to continue to play professional football after betting against his own team in games he was involved in is beyond me.
I just imagined him in a Pars strip there and I hate it. But if I were to pick the best starting 11 from the current squad + Ian Black then he would of course be in the middle of the park.

We're looking good. I have no idea how Ayr Utd are looking. Seems to me by reading through other teams threads it is expected to be between Pars and Ayr.
Realistically being full time and probably having the biggest budget we will be favourites. AJ's job to make those advantages count on the park and be reflected at the end of the season.
